Also, I called at least one of the dragons dying. But suicide squad antics were top notch. Especially with unnamed wildling npcs 1-4 dying. RIP Thoros.

Man I loved that episode. Who cares if it was just a lot of fan service with the dialogue and action. MRPolo13 !!
But still. With an arm like that, why has the NK not thrown his army over the wall.
Also Benjen Ex Machina. I was much more hoping that Rhaegar-The-Dragon was gonna be flying in to save Jon. Then he'd ride the dragon to safety in all his Targareyn glory.

Oh no, I don't think the dialogue was fan service. I think the dialogue was just bad. Such a shame that they broke a hat trick of good episodes with, well, this. My dog could probably come up with a less ham-fisted dialogue than "Exposition. Exposition. Funny quip. Exposition." that was so prevalent in this episode.
Also, they had to use a literal deus ex machina just to add tension to this episode. Bit desperate really. Such a shame.
