Ah, such as it is. A year back I'd be ranting and raving but I'm possessed of a... in it's own way, very peaceful and freeing apathy.

There was also a Priest of Ignis that used "Solarbeam" on a demon in an event vein that was never followed up. The priest has not shown up since.
Funny you mention that, I believe that was the Red Sacrament.
The area it happened in is someplace I'm now currently looking into for the sake of an upcoming event, related to said event. Even if it might not involve a continuation of what happened in related to the Ignis priest and the demon, at least it's intended to sort of 'finish' one thing for the purpose of another.

While it's a good inititative to do so, it should not promote a trend that players should be responsible for making event staff finish a dropped campaign. There needs to be agency on events' behalf to do something with what they introduce into the world, especially when lore is suddenly bound by it's actions.

There were subsequently two events held without lore approval and while I neutered mine to nothing by request when you asked, you fully allowed the others to go forward. Your example is further evidence of the double standard and impedes you further since I gave you the details of my event and both of you didn't read it.

I was left out of even knowing of the unapproved events and items and only found out after hearing from players. You 'accepted' my mistake after a lecture that was not given to Events despite it happening after mine, showing no accountability for them. I left because it was a growing trend already and I realized Lore Council had no need for a "Skype Chat", saying you could contact me on forums or privately on the same platform. Instead I was demoted. You're not willing to work with me, you're willing to have me do all of the same work as before but now be out of the loop further.

Since I told you it would be coming and you still tried to avert with excuses, lore decisions I was left in the dark of are as follows:
  • Incandescence specifically, there was no request about balancing or review, nor acknowledgement it existed aside from saying you would "give an artifact to Maceo" without elaborating further, even upon request to elaborate. There were no records of it anywhere beforehand.
  • The "Shadow Rider", which was given bullthrough because "the event team was excited".
  • The drop of divine boons in the first place was kept from me, lest we forget. Not only are they vastly unbalanced, some are nonsensical and ask more questions in intent than they answer.
  • I am still in the dark on what the demons from the first dropped chain did, as well as where they went.
  • Current plans for the Gods, since you had asked for a goal and reached one without informing lore.
  • Animancy was left from me until I requested to see it after all of it's ridiculous, nonsensical changes. I was rebuked afterward.
  • Cogimency is in turn still in a limbo I was unaware of, since there are two Magi using spells unapproved by lore that don't fit with the discipline.
  • The 'Heart' doesn't make any sense in specific, because you didn't consult me.
I'm not going to go on about these unless you try and pull more poor excuses. I left 'in a rage' because I was kept from doing my job, and now you've damned yourself to bias if Archbishop is given the treatment the position deserves, or hypocrisy if you change nothing.
Alrightey, if you want to get into details; for your latest campaign proposal, I specifically gave you feedback on things I thought should be changed lore-wise and asked for you to elaborate more on your plans with it so that we knew what we were approving. You did neither of those things, instead opting to run it at midnight for your friends because you 'had not heard anything back.' I'll own up to my own oversteps, but mine were done within a lore-established scope rather than seeking to introduce significant new concepts.
For your itemized list:
-Incandescence: You are correct, see my earlier comment about 'times I've fucked up.' It was a spur-of-the-moment decision, and I apologize for not elaborating further on it as I figured Solus' explanation was sufficient.
-Shadow rider: Again you are correct, see earlier comment.
-Divine Boons: We have been over this before, but I'll apologize for it again. They were sent and approved in lore chat before you joined it, I'm sorry for the misunderstanding but I got them to you when you asked in the chat.
-Current plans: are not set in stone, and depend on how events develop. It'll be discussed in lore when it's closer to being relevant.
-Magic: Animancy has been toned down from the original version back when it was approved by Som and Cherry, which is the version that had most of the wacky stuff. Cogimency's reworks should have been done with lore oversight/approval before use, but they provided lore for us to review when requested.
-The 'Heart:' That concept originated in the lore chat, and while you didn't say anything about it one way or another, you were party to developing the subsequent event that hinged on it. I figure from your argument that you feel protesting wouldn't have mattered, but you gave me the impression you were fine with it and I can't read your mind if you had something you wanted to say.

I'm going to cover this, before talking about agency.

I went on to give explanation and detail in that chat immediately after and took into consideration what you'd said. None of the components you'd questioned were in the final event and in turn, there were no macguffins in an ultimate spite to the myriad you've spread and subsequently dropped. No one responded to my responses or changes.

The event was ran for the server, and was broadcasted as an event on the server. Having a set thread for it and having 50+ people show up is not only inorganic, it's cathartic and would have been detrimental to DM. If we reward players online by giving them random happenings for 'being online', then there's more incentive to log on. A giant, ceremonious reveal is no doubt sickening after 3 of them are dropped near instantly afterward.

Now onto agency. I would believe you were acting unintentionally the first time I was left out and caught on. Unfortunately, it's a pattern. You can't keep making the sane mistake and expecting it to be okay by "owning up" to it. You own up when you'll stop making the mistake. The open aggression about events that accompanies this discussion is evidence that you haven't just done this with lore mistakes regarding me, you've made a pattern of doing so to the entire server.

We talked about this already. I talked to Lannis about what happened and I talked to him about what he needs to do fix his own part in events- I have been for a while. He's very aware of it and is making efforts to fix it. I've told you you're not the only one who's been lectured and talked to, and I've even talked about your shortcomings to you for months now- this is not all about you. Yea, there's a lot of problems with lore. The solution is not to yell at me for it, or yell at lannis for it, or rant about what lore we have already and certainly not to leave and think you can run your own events that effect major aspects of the server because you happen to be in Lore without full approval from Lore. I told you I would look at your campaign, but you knew I was busy and you didn't give a last headsup before you launched the event. I'm not going to go into details. I was not given a direct warning but we talked about it enough to set guidelines to fix it. We were /communicating/ after, /yes/ I bloody wanted to work with you. Lannis's campaign was fully approved before you came on and you were shown its layout, it's the minor additions from events taking place that are getting you twisted up. He and I have apologized and solution was, as I have told you, more inclusion, but you didn't want to hear it and left.
It's not your job to moderate your staff members, it's my job.

Since I told you it would be coming and you still tried to avert with excuses, lore decisions I was left in the dark of are as follows:
Lannis responded to this, but please do not spoil things out of spite.
I'm not pulling any excuses, but you sure aren't making it easy to talk to you about lore and its issues and its confidential information. I cannot give you all of the solutions to problems you have with lore right this minute. But to think there's been no effort and progress at all by every single staff member who's pulling their weight is to ignore the last several months of this server.

The event was ran for the server, and was broadcasted as an event on the server. Having a set thread for it and having 50+ people show up is not only inorganic, it's cathartic and would have been detrimental to DM. A giant, ceremonious reveal is no doubt sickening after 3 of them are dropped near instantly afterward.
We also talked about this. This would be proper if the first event you did wasn't setting the stage. It was an important event but it ended up being exclusive to anyone who was on and happened to be skype acquainted to someone logged in. The waterfall effect of a big event is the proper way to showcase this method of broadcasting events exclusively in-game or random events in-game, not major changes or one that's actually setting things up.
That issue was fixable through talking it out as were the others.

I don't think snide remarks towards the owner of the server are helping, guys.

To be honest some of this is being blown out of proportion..

shit work is better than no work

criticism of staff is the only way to get changes through. sure people aren't being particularly nice about it but i think you can cut them some slack with the current state of the moderation team and general server management

You know I like drama driven stories a lot, and I appreciate the transparency, but I honestly think you should move this discussion into an environment where third parties can't pour oil into the fire.

Constructive critisism. Not just insults and namecalling.
