*Old Sajek~

Name:
Named Sajek Alkam at birth, Sajek has since adopted his slave name "Valcust", as he was bought and released by one "Thomas Valcus".

Nickname/Alias:
Val to some, Sejek'n to another.

Age:
Around 60 years of age- Deceased.

Gender:
Male.

Race:
Nakam.

Height:
Around 5'6"

Weight:
One hundred and thirty nine (139) pounds.

Hair:
Tan nearly everywhere, brown on his extremities, and white on his belly.

Eyes:
Light blue.

Skin:
Unknown.

Identifying Marks:
When speaking, anyone can see Sajek's right K-9 tooth is chipped, though this does not lead to any speech impediments.
Right eye missing- along with a good chunk of his right ear.

Appearance:
Sajek's outward appearance has never been very intimidating. His pelt and race itself leads him to be a pariah in many situations, and completely welcomed in others. Sajek can come across as being a bit crude or apathetic at times, though for the most part he simply enjoys helping strangers in need, so long as it is in the best interest for himself and for those he governs over.

Strengths:
Very skilled in the art of monster fighting, Sajek was once called a hero in his hometown of Verbali. Sajek understands that a winning battle does not come from overwhelming strength, but from deceptive cunning and stealth.
Sajek also tends to be very sentimental towards people he considers close, and will often chose to suffer financial, physical, and even emotional turmoil all to avoid having the same pains being bestowed on a friend.

Weaknesses and fears:
Sajek finds water VERY irritating, and will often do everything within his power to avoid it. Sajek is also very fearful of heights, but will almost never admit to it, climbing the tallest of trees in the jungles to prove himself.
Unknown to many, Sajek is also a very unstable drunk. Though he now shuns any and all alcoholic drink, if you do manage to get him to drink some, expect wild mood swings, confessions from the soul, and even some violent outbursts.

Religion and cults:
Sajek follows the Nakam teachings, that his kind take Altera itself as their final resting place. Because of such, he strongly dislikes magic, and will often treat magic-users with a complete disregard for any pleasantries.

Profession:
Sajek is a former guard for the city of Verbali, and a very skilled warrior.
Though since arriving in witches brew, Sajek has opened a Café, the Vera Vasiil.
Since moving from Witches Brew, he has worked with friends to establish a nitch in the Northern Kingdoms for Nakam, Kavdam. He now works as mayor and owner of the finest inn west of Port Silver, the Vera Vasiil.

(removed complete story, because it was god-awful and I need room.)

Backstory(in a nutshell):
What was once the most skilled and respected guard in all of Verbali has become nothing more than a grief stricken husk of a warrior.
It can be said to've begun during his initiation at the age of 17, when he first met his mate, Zalia.
By the next year, the two were mated, and nearly inseparable.
For four years, the couple lived a (usually) normal life within the walls of Verbali.
All until the day Sajek found his mate in the arms of a guard trainee, Jakal.
It wasn't long before Sajek planned and executed his revenge.
At the sight of Jakal's lifeless body, Sajek was overcome with regret, and immediately ran into the jungles of Kavdek, becoming feral in the process.
Two years later, Sajek awoke to realize he had been taken to a slave trade, and was purchased by a human, Thomas Valcus.
Where Sajek was expecting torture and cruelty, Thomas offered only kindness and friendship.
After a year of work, Thomas had smuggled Sajek onto an elven ship on a course for port silver..

Sajek's Return:
With the aftermath of the game of crowns war, Sajek stood, overlooking the ocean of carnage in front of him.
He'd planned this from the start, but never intended for so many to fall for him to survive.
The stench of spilt crimson matter, unbearable, just as the pain from his former eye. He'd abandoned his outer layer of armor, using what radiants he had left to acquire a new set of clothing, and a place on a trade ship to Verbali.
He never truly knew what he intended to accomplish. What he wanted out of the experience.
All he knew was that his land had nothing left for him.
His friends, gone. His land, overtaken.
He only wished to retreat home.
And, as his foot touched the frozen cobble of the Verbali docks, he'd taken a breath inward, feeling as if he'd never left.
Five years he'd not set foot within the city.
And, those five years later, what was his plan?
To walk up to his front door and knock.
He stood before the woodwork he'd placed himself. Every marking, every crevasse in the frame was familiar.
For a moment, he wondered if this were wise.
The next moment, his fist had lightly knocked against the frame.
Not but a minute later, there stood Zalia. The one who'd betrayed him. Who'd cast him into a life of squander. Who'd given him an adventure.
Without a second thought, he wrapped his arms around her, and she did the same.
"Welcome home." Were the only words she'd said.
Only moments after he'd been taken out of the cold, a small figure clad in purple cloth stood just beyond the foye of his home, clinging onto a white furred doll.
Sajek dropped to his knees, bringing his own line of sight to that of the child, who approached slowly, reserved and defensive, yet filled with curiosity.
Zalia looked on with a loving smile as the child extended her small arm, introducing herself "Hello, I'am Kavara. Kavara Otkon."
Sajek face curled in unbelievable happiness before he took his daughter's hand, shaking it, introducing himself. "A pleasure to meet you, miss Otkon. I'm Sajek."
As soon as his name was spoken, the child had dropped her doll, throwing her arms around Sajek's neck.
For the remainder of the day, the family was happy.
Of course, with his "revival", the council soon heard of his ordeals.
They'd called him to trial for treason, abandoning his guarding post.
On the court date, Sajek had readied a case based on trade.
With a heavy thud, the citizenship registry of Kavdam had been presented to the council members.
Sajek told them of his adventure, of his doings within the town, of the trade and prosperity he'd brought to all traveling Nakam.
Naturally, the council lifted previous charges, in return for Sajek's services as manager of the new embassy program.
For the next five years, it was his duty to oversee, plan, and send supply ships to foreign lands to establish Verbali power within the world.
Trade began to increase, wealth to the trading companies nearly doubled.
All until the last continent was to be appointed an embassy.
And who should be appointed, but the scorned Sajek, who had escaped the law of the council?
The perfect punishment, were he to deny them his duty, he would be tried for treason. Were his family to accompany him, Zalia would be accused of abandoning her post.
Were they to elope, the widespread powers of the embassies he'd set up would find them.
Caught between a rock and a hard place, Sajek decides to return to the Northern Kingdoms, on the grounds that his earnings be transferred immediately to Zalia.
At the docks, once again, he'd the chance to say goodbye.
With one final kiss, one final hug, he was off to his mission.
Armed with nothing more than a scroll, a single blade, and a personal guard, he was to earn his right to return home.

Death.
It would come as in time, with a cough and wheeze, the old warrior had left himself into a bed, within a home, unfinished.
The new town had only just begun, though it was now he realized his story had been told.
Without word on the outside world, the caves had sealed him in, without any known friend or accomplice to wonder of his well being, within two days time he would slip away in his sleep, alone, hungry, bed ridden, yet somehow content.

Interesting design with aligning it center. It does make it easier to read.

Someone's back? That's always good. Yay.

I would post a GIf, but I just feel... overly cautious to do so. *sigh*

Nakam are pretty dang sweet. I'm considering doing one after my character dies. Which might be a long time. Don't want him to die before he can make his death sad, now do we? :p

Can't wait to see you again. I think Sajek might be one of Aspen's few friends who are both still alive and still sane.
