The Wheel of Time Saga

I'm making my second attempt at reading this series. I started Book 6, Lord of Chaos, last night. I reached Book 8 on my first attempt but all the names and Aes Sedai turned me off. Has anyone read/plans to read this series and what are your thoughts?

I've read the whole thing, and it's interesting. It's shallower than some other things I've read in terms of theme, mythos, and definitely in it's in world politics. I'd still recommend it as I like the characters and world it's set in.

ive read all but the last book, and really enjoyed it. There are a ton of characters though, and whenever a new book came out I ended up re-reading the series to try to remember how they interconnected. Gotta say Mat is my fav char in the series.
