Fallout 4 - Building

Hello =)

I love playing Fallout 4, but I especially love building in it. Obviously being on PS4, there are major drawbacks-- as no new content can be added through Mods.

Almon's Garage:
June 1st, 2017:
I need ideas of what to build, however. I know for a fact asking this is a good idea, as last time I asked, I was given the concept of building a Cafe for a specific character called "Almon" that I used to RP with. Here is how that turned out:

Please give me ideas on what to build in Fallout 4 when I get the time ^_^

Build on Spectacle Island.

It's not just the largest settlement, but it is an order of magnitude larger than any other settlement. I literally build a 4-floored warehouse/factory on it with all the amenities and protection I could ever want. Unmodded.

Build on Spectacle Island.
Was my first build there =)
The problem I have with the island, however, is it isn't flat at any point. It is difficult to build anything but a giant flat there.

Still. I will build there =)

Suggestions what I should build there, however?

Usually, in an unmodded scenario. My suggestion is to either make a bunch of small homes and make a village (given the land's shape), or to make a factory. The usual suspects are a meat factory, or an ammo factory. Make missles.

Should it be a Brotherhood build, then? An outpost for the Brotherhood on Spectacle Island?
If it will simply be a vanilla build, it would be mighty boring to decorate =)

I am soon to be starting a new survival as ive had that fallout crave, Im gonna roll survival and fortify 1 building per settlement to allow for a singular base at multiple locations, this may be modded or vanilla, but in the past ive found this style the most fun for a less settler driven build stye

Use the deathclaw cages (if you've got whatever DLC those come with) and integrate them into a wall around your settlement. When attacked, release the deathclaws and enjoy the show from some nearby guard post.
Not really a build, but it's a neat defense. Only drawback is that you need yao-guai meat for the cages.
You could also use yao-guai cages, but where's the fun in not having a defense consisting only of huge murder reptiles?

I was hard at work with this one:

While playing the story, I got to the point where I needed to build a signal interceptor. Instead of blandly building it, I also built an entire BoS area. "The Brotherhood Bar" is a rather bland, but well decorated location that allows BoS members at the airport to have a cheeky swig whilst also having their armour checked up upon. This build was merely a test to see if I still have it in me to decorate.
Seems I do =)

This one... I don't really like that much. But regardless, I spent many hours on it so I must share it.

I decided to build a Brotherhood Outpost at Far Harbour. While originally going to be a simple building, I ended up implementing an entire Lighthouse to Dalton Farm and decorating it. This is how it turned out.

Because of a stupid glitch that has corrupted my save, I've now lost several days of progress into a build of mine at Vault 88 where I was building a shop which acted as a front to a Railroad HQ.

This glitch in question is this:

You are unable to save and it takes away many days of progress. It really is terrible and I'm very upset by it.
My earlier save goes back to before I began building.

Despite the overwhelming problems I've been facing with Fallout 4 crashing constantly, I pushed through and finished the build. It was very, very problematic and I now am struggling to play the game normally, even doing missions. Hopefully I'll be able to continue my save into Nuka-World, as I wish to construct Raider Outposts soon.

This is one of the best builds I've done yet. Putting all things together, I managed to build a shop!
But the shop is merely a front for a much greater operation...

Yep. I now have to delete my level 70 save because this build was the final nail on the head, corrupting the damned game and save.

I'll reshuffle my rubbish PS4 mods list and start a new game.
I should be making new builds as soon as I can get the bloody game to run properly xD

I made another build, though I admit I am not proud of this build at all.
As my game took a literal month to recover after the last build destroyed my console and took four reinstalls to fix, I decided against using mods for a while. Thus, I made a new save with a new uncaring build style.

Regardless of it's lack of contents, I am very proud of the Museum within this build- thus, I am sharing it here anyway =)

I went to update this thread, but you are only allowed 5 media per post :(
Guess the new builds will just be hidden in the comments =)

I got back into Fallout 4 recently with a survival run! It seems to be working well so far, so eventually I will build new settlements!
In the mean time, I built this last year when I was away from Hollowworld. Tried to make a very 'Fallout-esque' settlement rather then going overboard. Enjoy!
