A Great Emptiness

Very Sweet

For many weeks now, attacks from the wilderness have been a regular occurrence, with any going alone into the woods deemed fated to never return from them. As people began to bundle themselves up into the safe cities, attacks became gradually less common. More so, now, for the occasional scouting party return not only unharmed, but bearing news. There is nothing left. The sight of a bear, deer, or fox seems to be such a rarity that it's considered a blessing to catch sight of one. Some remains are found, the animals succumbed to the great Blight, but it is said to near them risks catching the sickness itself. Even birds seem to have become less common, and woodlands or forests hold an uneasy silence as a result of the vast emptiness.

Since the beginning, some species were far more affected by the Blight, and as a result they have not been seen again, as if they vanished entirely...

The species listed below are now considered extinct, and are no longer available to be used (unless already agreed upon, or if you offer a good pitch to events team for use):

...So the whole plague thing was for the sole purpose of killing some player made beasties?
It had all built to this. The last few months of events, dungeons, and dynamics were all to get the Skoll out of the way. An ultimate spite to Spooksy.

Clearly it was planned so they could replace them with Skyrats

Makes you wonder how long term the eco system is screwed now, with prey and predator alike dropping into very low existing numbers to leave a continent empty like this. Several creatures that likely had some impact on the environment and other species disappearing entirely, not to mention resource/food wise for people on top of all the devastated farmland in many key places.

Will this mean creature submissions will be opened up again? :0

Also would the infected have gone after fish? Asking for logistical reasons.

i am interested to see how the continent recovers from 'nothing left to eat and 90% of the crops ruined' then

Something I've brought up before here as well. This'll leave some deep marks in the eco-system that, unless we're having Shalherana or something else happen to restore/mend how badly the blight has ruined a lot of things, even if/when people 'win' the campaign, there might be little left to properly save. Not to mention, you can only keep fishing as a means of food for so many people only for so long, with most major crop related stuff destroyed or blighted.

Maybe people can actually RP some form of an economy, since we can't all just spawn food in at will?

:D i mean shallerana has single handedly removed the death penality, why not a lil bit more?

Alternatively we coud all move ot the Fronteir or the Sorrows. man wont Skraag get a kick fo the living making a living in his lands.
