1. What is your Minecraft username?
AfricanGlasses
2. How old are you?
18
3. What country are you from?
United States
4. Have you read the King's Law, Tome of Citizenship, Official Lore, and the Survival Guides yet?
Yes, mostly.
5. In your own words, how would you define metagaming and powergaming?
Metagaming: The figuring out or supplying In-Roleplay related information in an out-of-roleplay manner (I.e: Through Skype, Discord, or Pm's) and using that information in game. It is a form of cheating.
Powergaming: The abuse of roleplay which disallows others to emote in a prompt manner. This could also be unfair roleplay that is taken to the advantage of the abuser and leaves the opposing roleplayer without an opportunity to roleplay back. An example of this would be running up to an individual, swinging a sword, and hitting them all within the same emote, not giving proper time for the opposing side to emote.
6. Do we allow X-Raying mods or X-Ray texture packs on the server?
No.
7. Name one of our current Mentors.
Paint
8. Tell us about yourself!
Hey there! I'm Jack, an eighteen year old freshman in college. Absolutely love writing, the outdoors, and adventuring. I've been roleplaying for the better part of 5 years and would love to taste some new styles and platforms!
9. Do you have any examples of your work?
I am a builder and have built for many roleplay servers and some mainstreamed HUB-minigame servers that you may have played on before. I don't want to consume space with a bunch of pictures, but would love to share any and all of my portfolio if the server, or anyone on it needed builders!
10. Did anyone refer you? If not, how did you find our server?
Just typed in medieval roleplay Minecraft on google and this appeared!
About Your Character!
This section is about the character you intend to use once you join the server. We ask that new players follow these guidelines during this portion of the application:
Character Name:
Caspian
Character Age:
22
Character Race:
Silver Elf
Appearance:
Silk-robes, blue eyes with silvery/off-white hair. Skin tone is an off-white color without much hair.
Written Test!
Through the summer months, Caspian patrolled his home-city in a brilliantly decorated cloak, adorned with silver and garnet linings that intertwined through the silk patterns and folds, letting the entirety of his outfit breath loose through the wind. He carried an open-faced packing of books, finally setting them down below a shady tree to continue his writing. A poet indeed, Caspian began to scribble times of the undead and their new home, where the Silver Elves rebuild from the fractures that his and the rest of the realm were wounded by. Very slowly, his ink slithers across the page, detailing hope for his future and what may end up his fate... Through his dreams, and the dreams of the Divine above, Caspian begins his second page.
He writes about the divine, and those that hold specific spirits above another, detailing the work and comparing it to his own morale, swiftly writing of those to which he follows closely, and those that he only reflects occasionally. He writes the comparison between the Divine of the humanoids, scribbling off to the margin questions of religion and its potential singularity.
On his third page, Caspian begins to write quickly, scribbling unforgivingly across the page, becoming sloppy with his ideas to limit the potential for others to see. He was writing about the "banned". The spirits which weren't allowed nor deserved worshipping or even knowledge from the descendants of those who live in Altera. Dotting the page with incorrect punctuation, he writes a question on the fourth page: "Are they really all so bad?"
He closes the book sharply. Exhaling into the summer breeze before heading back to his home.
Maybe someday his question will be answered. As he ventures the next day, the very same question of the legitimacy of the Divine filter through his thoughts, not understanding the societal structure of the divine, and not knowing why they are categorized by lifestyle, or portion of ones life. These questions led to another entry, one with nothing but questions such as: Can a divine being be restored to a positive outlook? Can positive divine be retrograded into a negative light? To what extent does this matter and is it based on any scale or simply the mindset of a few powerful descendants among the realm?
After his series of questions halted, Caspian closed the book and decided to find the answers to his questions throughout the ventures and journey of his life, to find a deeper understanding and meaning of whom controls the lives of the descendants -- And to understand and analyze the structure and power of those prosperous in religion and philosophy.
Current Setting of the Server:
As the last galleys pull into port from the Northern Kingdoms, so too do they mark the end of the Exodus. A dark and desperate chapter in Altera's history.
The undead swarms had battered us, and the Sea of Storms had bruised us, yet here we were, alive. Alive in a brave new frontier to the east, and the flickering embers of our dying lands were now kindling the fires of new civilization, in a land of opportunity, vast and boundless.
Now, for the first time in a long time, there is hope. Hope of a new chapter, a new beginning and a clean slate. Yet there is also fear. Fear of the land unknown, and the danger untold. There is fear that, in spreading the light, we draw the ire of what lies in the shadows.
But no matter the opinions on the subject, there is one thing that may be said for certain.

About Your Character!
This section is about the character you intend to use once you join the server. We ask that new players follow these guidelines during this portion of the application:
- Characters begin with basic skills and gear. No advanced armor or weaponry. Skills and abilities are appropriate to a novice level. Skills should be learned through roleplay, not through backstory.
- Characters fit the lore. If you choose to play as a Moor Elf, for example, we expect appearance and details to be fitting with base lore.
- Characters cannot use magic in any way. The test itself should not mention magic either. HollowWorld uses a restricted magic system and it is only accessible to those who find and learn from a teacher in-game.
- Tests should not be violent. No murder, killing, death, torture. In the past, 8 out of 10 applications featured characters fighting off bandits or slaying passersby. We don't want to see how well you can script a fight scene. We want to see how well you can tell a story, how well you can roleplay.
- Be creative and be original. Do not use tests/characters whose home villages were burned, parents murdered, and then set off to be an orphan assassin. It has been done before. Please don't do it again.
- Written portion of the test is required to be a 400 word minimum. If the test doesn't meet the minimum, Staff may ask you to extend the test before the application is considered.
