Suiko
Lord of Altera
There's no actual technological plugin; I couldn't think of a better name.
Simple combat with NPCs at events:
Each player gets 10 hit points.
Each monster has a level. The amount of hit points the monster has is level*3. The difficulty of hitting the monster is the number of it's level*3. So if a player wishes to hit a level 5 monster and do damage, he must roll level*3 (in this case, 15) or higher on a d20.
Difficulty is never rolled for a monster. It is only rolled for players. So if a monster attacks a player, then the player must roll monster level*3 to dodge. If a level 5 monster attacks a player, the player must roll a 15 or higher to dodge the attack.
-------------------------
Assets:
It's possible for a players to have something on them that would make an action easier, such as having a height advantage (-1 difficulty), and sometimes they might have an encumbrance such as being slammed drunk (+2 difficulty). These assets and encumbrances would alter the difficulty of hitting a monster by an arbitrary amount that the moderator sets.
------------------------
Example of play:
Hector decides to throw his cape over a monster to try to blind it. The monster is level 5, so it requires a roll of 15 or higher (level*3) on a D20 to accomplish *rolls* he succeeded! The monster is now temporarily blinded, and the moderator decides to decrease the difficulty of avoiding the monsters attacks by -3 for the next two turns. Which means that whenever this monster tries to attack another player, instead of having to roll a 15 or higher, players only have to roll a 6 or higher to dodge this monsters attacks.
It's the monsters turn! It attacks Salina! Usually Salina would have to roll a 15 or higher to dodge, but the difficulty was reduced 3 steps, so instead of having to roll a 5*3, it's now only 2*3 to dodge this attack. So a 6 or higher will allow her to dodge. *rolls* success! it was a lot easier to dodge that swipe.
-----------------------
Weapon types:
Light: 2 damage, -1 DC
Medium: 4 damage
Heavy: 6 damage +1 DC (must be trained to use)
-----------------------
More on what training is will come at a later time.
