Rumor has it that there were screams in the dead of night from the church of Sallana, and a struggle occured- then, silence.

Fear grips the streets of Storm's Landing as the roars of a peasant drunkard beckon doors shut and shoppes locked. A trail of destruction begun in the Noble's District as carts were toppled and bricks were hurled through windows. Broken glass and splintered wood litter amidst overturned wagons in Altera's heart of commerce...

 

[Old-Seadog]

A group of robbers managed to pull-off a successful heist at the Veraci Bank. All but one escaped along with chests of gold. Several guards were either killed or wounded. Some say the Southgate Meadery Company was responsible.

 

[Shankster]

While the festival in honor of Shalherana took place to the north, a lone figure crept into and out of the Azarin bank in Veraci. In the following minutes the interior of the bank was engulfed in flame. A single piece of evidence is left at the scene, half burned but still recognizable, one of the postings put up in the landing by the Southgate Meadery Company declaring war on Veraci. Fortunately nobody was inside, so no injuries or deaths were included with the property damage.

Under the cover of broad daylight, the graveyard of Compendium has been desecrated with graves dug up and the Grey Lady Offering boxes smashed. It is said that a corpse or two may have been taken along with money and valuables.

In Mockingbay, the unconscious bodies of a young boy from the Herenii Family and a woman of the Sangrian Army would be found in the sewers, wounded. They would have been taken to the Mockingbay Tavern. They would have no memory of why they got there or how they got their wounds.

 

[Immerael]

A large storm, larger then had ever hit the isles approached the city of Arget. Many wanted to abandon it and flee inland from the storm and there was plenty of time to escape. Many feared the storm might do undue damage to the mainland however the storm dissipated its wrath upon the island before hitting the rest of Altera. However in its wake there was not a single sign of the former Silver Elven city, as the small isles they were placed upon were consumed by the sea. In the chaos Azure and Nireth went missing and none have heard from them since.

OOC Note: This has been known for months by folks who were in the city, as you may have noticed I'm gone from the server. Only posting now as I was requested to do this for folks but this shouldn't change anything. There is nothing to recover for recovery events outside of what the former residents took with them, and what they have is theirs to do with as they will. Anyway peace guys.

Some may have noticed Lazarus, an old Veracian, to be missing for quite some time. His house was left in ruin and his things rummaged through.

Word escapes the walls of Sanardu of a series of ominous disturbances. A gryphon took flight above the city driving the swarms of Mime Volans who have since inhabited the city into the skies. The carnage continued to crescendo as a font of flames erupted from the market district, roasting several low flying Volans.

The symphony of death and terror continued as what could only be described as Mime Volan mating calls began resounding from Sanardu's trees, further driving more and more flocks into the skies. Scattered eye witnesses report sighting abrupt and powerful vertical wind gusts coming from the trees, smashing the poor, frail bodies of any Volan who was unfortunate enough to come near.

The spectacle climaxed when screeches of Mime Volan love and passion blasted from the terraces just below the Imperial Palace. The racket attracted several hundred Mime Volans whom witnesses could only describe as having been sucked into a supernatural cyclone, painting the sandy walls of the terraces red with blood, gore and poison as the entire flock crashed.

The remainder of the Volans seem to have fled the city and some astute observers claim to have noticed two young adults, one wielding a glowing sword, following the destruction as it unfolded along with an owl with a strange glow beside its forehead.

Surely this is the stuff of fever dreams, but to the residents of Sanardu, the 5th of Mistset is a night they will never forget.

In the aftermath of the Bloodmoon Observation class, the corpses have been taken and transported by the city's guard and Podric and Uriel. The corpses have been shipped to Ventare's cathedral in Icewater Bay.

 

[Luam]

Following the bloody outcome of the Blood Moon's third night, a cart, marked with the Cross of Synnove, travels about the Continent to various cities and towns. Victims of the Moon are brought to nearby graveyards and churches to The Grey Lady, and remnants of the fights that broke out are cleaned. If there is no graveyard nor a church to The Grey Lady, a funeral pyre is made for each of the fallen, and their bodies are burned at the start of the day, as the Sun rises over them. This process begins in Storm's Landing and works its way up to Queen's Port.

In Mockingbay, a man and a woman would be attacked by a short masked assailant near the cart to Storm's Landing, with the two making it out without life-threatening injuries.

 

[Catanomical]

After the party in Storm's landing a dancer was murdered at the pumpkin field. The figure was small and wrapped like a mummy, on a signature donkey seen from it's time in Sanardu and other events.

Rumor tells that since the departure of Lady Fleur de Courtnay from Ackerland, and the naming of the new Regent of the Eberlands nominated by the ruling House de Courtnay, that tensions between the regent and his men, have risen with the civil population. Taxes on the commonfolk have increased, and curfew enforced.

Veracians have noticed that, in the past few days, the Vescovo-Re has not come out of his palace to preach at the cathedral or even to get coffee at the tavern. Servants say he hasn’t even come out of his room!

Guards have noticed scuff marks that are suspiciously like footprints going up and around the walls outside the Vescovo’s room and office. Has someone assassinated the Bishop-King? Kidnapped him? Has he climbed out and run off, the burden of duties being too much for him? Or is he simply brooding, as usual..

Rumor has it that in the aftermath of Arget's destruction, refugees took refuge in the lands of House Dramaign, claiming sanctuary at the Grand Temple of Knowledge being constructed on his lands. Kaelin, the only known survivor of House Cerridwen has since formally been taken under the care of Kethron Dramaign until the time he comes to age or is able to sustain himself financially.

 

[Smurf]

Rumor has it that a contact in the Storm's Landing Black Market is seeking out large quantities of smelted nickel, iron, and gold from mines around the continent (the more unethically sourced the better).
This contact is also interested in purchasing pure gold and iron items (jewelry, tools, etc) to be smelted for the same purpose.

(OOC: PM me if your character wants to offload some shtuff for both IC and OOC money. I figure not many non-NPC characters really have raw materials like this laying around but if they do that would be great.)

A piece of parchment has surfaced, leading to a waterfall of rumors about an [ancient artifact of power].
Most people now believe that scholars are most likely to be among the ranks of an extremist group called 'The Scales'.

Tragedy struck Veraci as a good portion of the Palazzo de Jax was set ablaze, causing the deaths of dozens of servants and officials. The Guardie has been unable to find Rogerius among the dead or the rubble. Many Veracians blame Southgate for the arson, but some blame Rogerius's strange behavior as of late as the cause. Is Veraci about to fall? Will Southgate claim the throne next week? Is this anything to do with the vyres? Nobody knows.

 

[Bartooliinii]

Someone is talking trash about an innocent butcher in Halbed. He's saying it's not a coincidence that this 'ugly brute' opened his shop nearly simultaneously to the first appearance of the blood moon. The Butcher has seen a decrease in clientele from these hurtful remarks.
