BACKSTORY: Wind blew calmly in the forest causing the leaves to dance and russell as if singing choir songs, some floating swaying and drifting to the ground. Young Amaryllis walks along with a few sticks for the fire, the leaves crunch underfoot and the smell of rotting wood and leaves damp with the autumn weather. The bark on the sticks scrap softly against her skin on her wrists. When they reach the fire she gently places the sticks down and sits on the carefully placed stumped with others placed in a circle around the fire, the family’s quaint log house nearby. Trees like deep canyons stretching from a flat, soft ground roughing the skin of the fair girl. All being all too similar to Amaryllis. The Taylors have long been rooted in the most remote parts of nature, growing their family tree in the traditions of the wild. However, with the extensive knowledge of the forest which he calls home. In the calm and quiet of the morning, the forest still rising from its soft slumber, removing the blanket of a light fog from itself, Amaryllis searched the forest in preparation of the day. The soft golden glows of sunlight created rays revealing the necessities of her day by day life. Silently, she gathered material after material; dazed to the environment about her. Abruptly, the sound of a twig snapping broke the peace much like a crack breaks the a reflection in the mirror. As the fog cleared further, a hunter was shown to Amaryllis. The hunter, a tall man with brown hair, stood in a small opening of the forest. His face being shrouded in the shadow as the rays of light highlighted the hairs around it. The man kneeled over the ground, observing the tracks of what was assumed to be his lost prey. Amaryllis stood at the edge of the forest line, just out of sight, debating whether or not to run to the safety of her home or to approach the man. For several minutes, the debate clouded her eyes like a storm, dropper her focus from the hunter as he prepared to leave. Uncertain of the outcome, and in curiosity of where the man originates from, the young lady followed the mysterious hunter, tailing him from the safety of the trees. Amaryllis began to notice details of the man by cautiously maneuvering to positions of better sight, a skill she had learnt when observing the plentiful wildlife of the forest. The man had deep green eyes, almost as if the forest was not out in the world, but instead in the gaze of his man. His face was rough, baring the stubbly remains of a beard. He had a dark mark peeking out from the top of his collar, but was not distinguishable. And finally, he wore a pendent around his neck. Amaryllis noticed this pendent almost immediately as he sparkled beautifully in the sunlight, reminding of how the stars sparkled in the night sky. Dazzled by the pendent, the young lady did not noticed how far she had traveled. In fact, the area she stood was unrecognizable as what stood beyond her was not a forest of trees, but rather a forest of buildings. She had arrived at a town.
