(Optional) Picture of the Skin: http://prntscr.com/halbvp Written Test! Aren Malgrave was raised by a pair of hard-working merchants. They made a decent living selling to the people of a small merchant village. Aren received a slight education, he can read, write, and preform simple equations in regards to his parent's trade. His upbringing was likely far easier than most of his age, his life was not one of hard labor- Merely hard work. Aren has seen many different types of people float through his merchant hometown, he eventually learned that not every person was inherently good. The family dealt with their fair share of thieves and thugs, fortunately landing on their feet after each encounter. His parent's sense of duty and dedication is something that has echoed through his character and actions, even at Aren's younger age. His father was once a man of the sword but eventually settled down for the slow and steady life of a merchant. Aren's father was a trusted friend of most in their small hometown because of his service, Aren sought to live a similar life so he may tell a story like his father's to children of his own. Aren picked up small bits of experience fighting, his father would occasionally teach him how to defend against the typical brigand or thug. Like any young boy, Aren loved the idea of fighting though he had no natural talent for it. The young Malgrave knew a small amount about hunting and foraging from his father, the skill proved useful when they had to travel. He would learn just enough to keep himself alive in the event that he and his father were routed during travel. Aren's father has decided to send the young Malgrave to squire in Queensport. At first Aren detested the idea, he was no fighter, he was a merchant. It was the life he knew, but he began to toy with the idea of running off to battle with some great weapon in hand- He wanted to be the subject of a bard's songs, to be remembered as something more than a simple merchant's son. Aren longed to tell his grandchildren of the battles he was in, the heroics he displayed, and so on. Aren was outfitted and trained lightly once he arrived in Queensport. The boy was eager to be a worthwhile squire and certainly began to look the part once he donned his family colors and armor.
