Ballads of Eclipse

Hellian

Lord of Altera
This will be updated as I finish each part. Now, on with it.
Professor's Notes: The following tales were found in an old bag with the words "Kana Lunaris" sewn into it. Given that Kana is a Japanese name for "One who is powerful" it can be extrapolated that Lunaris is a family name, although no record of such a family exist.
They seem to tell the tales of a handful of people who determined the fate of existence. It is unknown exactly when the writing are from, or what inspired the writer's imagination, but it is largely held that these event are pure fiction, much like many old tales.

Lord of Altera
Ballad of the Calamity
By Kana Lunaris

The growing moon rose,
the shrinking sun fell,
darkness fell on Houses fair.

From the swamp, o' black beyond night,
Wraiths did sneak, where no one dared.
Quite as mice, swift as hares,
the three Guards fell to shadowed blades.

When the sun grew high, and the moon did shrink,
the Sons did find there inheritance of dread.

Purple Moon for one, the Lunis sang;
Golden Sun for one, the Solus rang;
Green Earth for one, the Terrian sprang;

The Son's once friends,
saw the blood of their House,
and mistook their foe for naught but myth.
Into action they lept,
their power unmatched.

The long-sword of Moon,
the broad sword and shield of Sun,
the saber of Earth,
The battle waged across the turf.

The Moon fled, knowing what came,
the Harbinger was born on that day;
The Sun stood still, finding his strength,
the Tower was built on that day;
The Earth chased both, anger in his heart,
the Enraged was formed on that day.

The land beneath was smote,
the world was waste,
villages and cities fell in their wake.

Days did pass, as did months,
till at last they'd had enough.
Summoning strength, to their blades,
all did clash on the same day.

The light was great, the darkness vast,
Stunned were the children of Guardians past.
The power did tell, of what they've done,
for a Multiverse was undone on that day.

The Moon went mad,
The Sun went off,
The Earth was took by the Wraith.

And from the anguish of those unmade,
a final wish had been made:
Destroy those who brought this end,
Make them feel the pain of the dead.
Thus, the Reaper was made on that day.

So the tale comes to its start,
as Moon, Sun, and Earth began the march,
for the War of All was at its start.

Lord of Altera
Ballad of The White Wolf
By Kana Lunaris

Rage and pain,
Madness and grief,
Fury and blame.

The Moon wandered,
From world to world,
Destroying all
Without seeing.

Yet in one world when The Moon arrived,
A White Wolf found him
as destruction was prepared.

Upon her head small green man,
And marking her body,
The red of the sun, markings,
designs, foreign to The Moon's eyes.

The wolf, Sun goddess,
Mother of them all,
Did that day, with the help of The Small,
Bring The Moon out of that rage.

With clear vision he saw,
The evil force he had become.
He saw in his minds eye,
The destruction he had wrought.

He begged, begged to the uncaring sky,
Begged for the memories to go,
For that evil to be undone,
For that which was lost to be remade.

The Wolf, fair and true,
Did comfort The Moon,
for she saw what he could be,
Not the demon he had become.

And, by the Small one's words,
The Moon did learn of the evil,
The demons that had taken this world.
He resolved, standing true and firm,
To fight against it.
To prevent what he had done just prior

And so they journeyed,
Fighting foes, Growing stronger,
The Moon learned the Celestial Brush.

Soon the day came, it was time to face
The dragon of dread,
That eight-headed beast

Sneaking carefully,
The way was made clear
By sword and brush.
The dark beast towered above.

The battle was long,
the brushes swift,
Sake was pored into sperintine maws,
And the elemental heads were put down at last.

But it was not enough,
And they awoke.
And as The Moon prepared,
His might coming forth,
The Lazy Warrior came to aid.

His Sword of wood did cleave
All the heads but that of Earth and Fire,
For one was too tough,
the other burning the blade.

But Hellian was ready then, and jumped up high,
And with mighty strength,
And a sword unbreakable,
Did remove the beast from its evil throne.

The celebration was vast,
But there was still much to do.
To a great city they did travel,
Meeting friend and foe.

The saved the city from its curse,
Found a lost people in the depths of the sea,
Fought the Trickster Fox on its island of death,
And met the Wolfkin and Smallkin of the far North.

At last they learned of the demon's source,
The Ark from the moon,
And it's Evil Lord.

Into its belly, did the Wolf and Moon go,
The Small forced outside.
When they stood against the Lord,
For a time all seemed lost,
For it killed a friend before the Moon could react,
And striped away the power of the Brush.

But all was not lost,
for The Small convinced others of the deeds of the Wolf.
That belief was rebirth,
For now Okami had been born.

And with a Brush much stronger,
And steel unmatched,
The dark was purged from the world at last.

And when it came time,
Farewells were said,
For now the Wolf must ascend,
And the Moon must move on.

His heart heavy,
The Moon did leave,
For whatever awaited,
Wherever we went.

Professor's Note: At this point, a note was found, and its contents appeared to effect the writing for the rest of the tales. It read as follows:
----------
Its good to know you have better writing skills then your parents. Personally, I think it would be better to write this as history. Ballads are annoying anyhow, and I can't believe you had the patience to write two. But, to be honest, you can't capture what really happened in ballads of any reasonable length. You have 9 billion years to cover, and not all those adventures were short. And at least include our names.

- Uncle Purgris
---------------
This note is believed to be part of the story, given the claim that those involved have lived for eons.

Professor's Note: The following audio recording was found on a disc, which took some effort to make readable, just after the note, as a message to readers. However it seems to have been likewise recorded as if the story was true:
--------
Speaker 1: *Clears Throat* Hello readers in the Eclipse Archieves! After a message from my critics (hi Uncle Purgris) I have decided to change the writing style. Events will be summarized, but with more detail, instead of flare. I will also be abbrivating or leaving out some parts entirely. Hellian, my dad, who until here has been refered to as The Moon, much to his amusement, spent a surplus of 1,200 years in the next universe. Any major battles will be in there own pieces as well, so a better accounting can be given. I think that about some it up. I think that about it. KOMRAD where is the off button again.

Speaker 2, presumablely KOMRAD: *Thick Russian Accent* The red button I am now blinking, Operator's child.

Kana: Thank you!
------

Evidently, this Eclipse Archieve is where the author's alter-ego expected the writing to end up. The mention and use of a sentient assistant named KOMRAD relates to a game by that title. This is seemingly confirmed by the term "Operator."

Interestingly enough, closer examination reveals the previous Ballad to bare a striking resemblance to Okami, another game. It seems that the author is creating a fascinating FamFiction, but the dating of the paper and ink puts the writing at some 150 years ago, which is even more surprising given the audio file. The origins of these documents are now thrown into uncertainty.

The next several documents are background of things the author seemed to feel should have been explained in the beginning. While it sheds no light on the origin of the tale or documents, it does make it more understandable. It is as if the author only at this point figured out her magic system.

---------------
Note from Argyl: I by no means just came up with the magic system. That part has been established for two years.

The Doctor and the Godling
Documented
by Kana Lunaris
After Hellian, The Moon, left the M1:S1:Okami he reappeared for the first time in a world that contained technology far beyond that of Dranos, the world he'd once called home. In fact, he appeared on Earth, just as the legendary Timelord, The Doctor, was finally about to leave after a temporal distortion caused by someone's attempts at making a TARDIS resulted in him being stranded on Earth, and Amy, is current companion, stranded in his TARDIS. The initial interaction was one of confusion on the Doctor's part, by his own account, and mild irritation on Hellian's the Doctor's scanning of him.

Hellian joined the Doctor at just the right time as well, as this one was destined to go up with his universe during the Pandorica incident. You see, in the Prime Parallel (That is the "original version." This only applies in Multiverses like M2) the Doctor bootstrap's himself out (an impossibility given the state of that universe at the time, but it happened all the same) of the Pandorica, the prison designed to contain one of the most ingenious men in existence. In the universe Hellian landed in, however, the bootstrap paradox didn't occur, or had yet to begin. So, as is typical fashion for my dad Hellian, he proceeded to cut this way into the Pandorica. According to the Doctor, Hellian nearly killed the him in the process. Regardless, the Doctor was then able to reset the universe.

For a time they continued adventuring. Hellian was an important part of the attack on Demon's Run in 1345, and stood by the Doctor after the loss of Amy and Rory in 1397. All the while, he was having adventures of his own with eh Doctor. On one occasion they saved a planet from a race of invasive carnivorous frogs. On another, they encountered a monster very much like a dragon, which Hellian punched in the snout after a bet from River Song. He barely escaped that one. He did make half a million credits, however.

After the death of Amy and Rory more or less at the hands of the Weeping Angels, Hellian spent the Doctor's depression learning and trying to build his own TARDIS, one that could easily transverse dimensions. The normal one is capable, but can struggle if left in the Void for too long. He did eventually succeed, but not after a long while, making a black version of the normal police box after deciding that no other look suits it. The Doctor still calls him a copycat.

Regardless, Hellian was there for the duration of Clara's stay and was proud to help foster the agreement between Ziagons and Humans. You see, the memory wipe wore off in the middle of negations, quite possible due to interference from the Lunis. Hellian ended up acting a mediator, having only ever interacted with humans, but also being from another universe. He also assisted in the saving of Galifrey, using his then completed TARDIS to circle the planet with the 13 Doctors.

Hellian would have one last adventure with the Doctor before leaving for the next world, although he would continue to visit. In a neighboring universe, the Doctor had gone mad after Amy and Rory's death. Several horrifying genocides later, and he was Ruler of all of time and space, at least in that universe. A consciousness, for lack of a better term, alerted the 11th Doctor in the universe Hellian was in to this fact, and the preceded to gather all 12 incarnations in that world, and the previous 11 in the other. There were several "battles" but eventually the Time Lord Victorious was killed. (A/N: Credit for that one goes to whoever uploaded it on the fandom page for DW) IT should be noted that this isn't the only occurrence of this event, to which the Doctor had replied, according to salvaged data, "What was it I had said? Wibbly-wobbly Timey-Wimey?" After that event, which was Hellian's first time jumping universes with his newly built TARDIS, Hellian fixed an issue that had nearly caused implosion, and then was off for the next world. Details on the Battle for Demon's Run are hard to come by due to the Doctor's elusiveness, and Hellian's memory loss, but if this author find on I will recorded it.
