Book Review .:Pendragon, Book Two:The Lost City of Faar.:

Firegirl

Lord of Altera
So again, plot before opion.

-Bobby and Press put on these cool, under-water breathing suits that you can speak in and breath.

-They attacked by sharks, and Vo Spader saves them.

-They all go to Grallion, where this ship crashes into Grallion, and they broad the ship.

-Discovers that everybody is dead due to poisened crops, including Vo Spader's dad.

-They get attacked by pirates with water cannon's, who demand ten cargo's of food.

-Spader and Bobby come up with a plan to dis-able the engines, because Bobby knows the Pirate's leader is actully Saint Dane in discuise.

-Half-way through the plan, they are spotted, and get chased back to the flume.

-They went back to Zadaa, where Loor explains to Spader about Saint Dane, the Flumes, and everything. Sadly, Spader only want vengance for his fathers death, and they go back to Coral.

-They find themselves as hero's, with the raiders defeaded, and yay! Happy ending!

So! This book was really simple, and, to be honest, didn't really have any git to it. It didn't have anything other than 'Do this, do that.' Sorta thing, where Bobby and Co. run around and save the world and 'defeat' Saint Dane.

That's most plots, yes.

Spader is motivated by a lust for revenge, Bobby is still learning the ropes as evident in his behaviour and handling of events, and the universe is still being set up for later exposition and expansion. Spader's revenge-madness is actually critical later on in the books, as is the advanced agriscience being developed and used on the barge cities.
