Chapter 2: Time is Running Out

Tick. Tock.

Scintillating shards slowly slip from their perch, blacken, and fall.

2014-04-08_17.59.42.png

And as the golden flakes fall, they blacken. They fester. They die.

Tick. Tock.

The wound in the world warps and bends.
2014-04-08_18.00.26.png

Those that dwell within this place take, take, take, and return to stand vigil.

Tick. Tock.

The twisted ground twists further, heaving free of moorings and growing.

2014-04-08_17.59.54.png

The fell hand's reach, extends.

Tick. Tock.

Leaves untended, wilt.

How long will the pristine remain pure?

The glint falls in the glass with the ticking of an old and worn clock.
The glint falls silent.
The glint falls in the glass with the clinking of well traded coins.
The glint falls silent.
The glint falls in the glass with the dull thud of a heartbeat.

And with each fading glimmer, another coin crumbles to dirt.

Gah, I'm sorry! xD
Its generally one way or the other- I am reaaally considering postponing the time a little, but I don't want to bandy things about on such a short notice

Those times for Australia aren't quite right, NE Australia (Queensland) would be -1 hour from the SE states (Victoria, NSW, Tasmania) except we've just come off Daylight Saving so the time difference is now nil. The 3 hour difference shown would be correct for Western Australia; South Australia and NT are 30 minutes earlier than the Eastern States.
