Wasn't about you, but it's good to know you'd be willing to do that in an RP!I restrict my google use to stuff Ater would know, and it's typically the really simple stuff that I've memorized anyways at this point.
As for where to draw the line, I draw it at any permanent physical change to a character. Amputation, crippling, etc, I'll typically push realism aside so folks can keep their characters. After all, a crippled character isn't everyone's cup of tea. Trust me, though, I never just slap a bandaid on it, nor do I think any of the doctor characters do.
That being said, if at any point you're doing medical rp with me (and I typically ask if the wound is that bad), you're welcome to tell me OOCly to bump up the realism. I'm always willing to hack off a limb or two.
