1. What is your Minecraft username?
CraniumKong (Returning Player)
2. How old are you?
20
3. What country are you from?
Ireland (yee)
4. Have you read the King's Law, Tome of Citizenship, Official Lore, and the Survival Guides yet?
Of course I have.
5. In your own words, how would you define metagaming and powergaming?
I would consider metagaming as including information you as a person know and using it to the advantage of your OC, when they previously had no means or sources to acquire such information.
I would also consider powergaming as a form of roleplay where you forcefully use certain phrases to make you in control or provide you with an advantage. Say you're in a duel and you use the phrase *Slashes sword and cuts open his stomach*, you're not allowing the other player any say in what happens and essentially giving you the "power" over the situation.
6. Do we allow X-Raying mods or X-Ray texture packs on the server?
Of course not.
7. Name one of our current Mentors.
After a tad bit of searching I finally found one; Snerus
8. Tell us about yourself!
Howdy, my first name is Dáithí (Irish name so I don't expect many to be able to pronounce it lmao) and as stated before I live in the East of Ireland. Currently I'm 20 years of age having finished my Leaving Certificate exams and finally in Trinity College Dublin studying Immunology as an Undergraduate. I have loved roleplay ever since I was a kid, so I feel I'm fairly anointed with this type of stuff and should fit in nicely. I am a huge HP nerd as well as Hamilton (don't get me started i wont stop singing), Rick Riordans books on Greek and Egyptian Mythos, Michael Grants Gone series, Darren Shans series and a whole load of stuff. I have a pretty "edgy" music taste so to say as well.
9. Do you have any examples of your work?
I previously played on this server so I do have an example of my old character, but I was looking to see if I could start anew, but in any event I will post it down below.
10. Did anyone refer you? If not, how did you find our server?
Nope, just searching and I recently came across my old RP character which resparked my interest in this server.
I am unsure if I must reuse my character I left off with or if I can start anew (preferably) so I'm going to include stories for both.
Character:
Character Name: Sylvar Yllaric
Character Age: 55 (Around 20 in comparison to humans)
Race: Elven
Appearance: Sylvar is around 6 foot 3 or 4, with darkish brown/auburn hair and piercing green eyes. Thing stature, and a diminishing and stern smile. He wears his colleges robes proudly and generally has a slight glint in his eyes whilst also (physically and figuratively) looking down on most of those he deems unintelligent. He normally carries parchment with him, and a small lyre to sing along to.
Written Test!
Sylvar awoke sputtering, desperately clutching at his throat. A familiar clawing sensation began making its way up his oesophagus as he hysterically grasped it, willing it with all his might to dissipate. Alas, it did not.
Instinctively, he leaned over the side of his sleeping hammock and let loose a gush of muck, revealing the contents of last nights feast. After hunching over for a solid 10 minutes gasping for air, the High Elf regained his composure, with a meek smile.
"By Silas' starry marks, who in the heavens thought hard ale was a smart idea?", he muttered to himself, letting loose a sly curse to Korog for his vile poison.
He rose and began assembling his outfit, having quite a hassle with his breeches buckles, and began making his way towards the nearby window slit. Figuring that a breath of fresh air would help him regain his senses, he pulled along a ornate bench and slumped down it, whilst buttoning up his tunic. Sylvar found himself racking his thoughts to simplicities; What time was it? What day was it? Where am I? What in the Void happened last night?
Pondering these thoughts, he let loose a throaty growl as he readied himself for the day ahead. As suddenly as they'd come, these thoughts dissolved, paving way to his current situation.
Sylvar Yllaric, was a scholar (majoring in Divine Studies mind you), and an aspiring Magus. He arrived at Laud's College with an intent to specialise in the works of Silas, though found himself dabbling in literature behind each of the divines whenever he could. At 20 years of age, he was merely a young elf, willing to do whatever it takes to get far in life. When the opportunity arose for him to take multiple classes, he snatched it up with both hands, eager to prove his worth. He knew it wouldn't be easy but alas, it did not deter him.
Hailing from the Port of Dunstan, this boy craved wisdom, and did whatever it took to get it. He had such a yearning for new ideas, it could often put Silas himself at shame. Though he had a such high regard for The God of Secrets, joining the Scribes of Silas Link at the mere age of 24. He lived by the first of his Doctrine with all his heart and soul, so much he had it inscribed on his forearm,
"You shall respect the worth of words."
Note: I am aware that it is Christmas and most if not all would be busy with family, so I am aware that I will probably have to wait a couple days, take your time, family comes first
(Also if someone could let me know if my character could be reset to suit the new character created that would be brilliant, thanks for reading).
