The Banque du Lion is the financial institution funded and run by House de Courtnay. Established by Comte Maceo ‘the Golden’ de Courtnay I in the year 2162 and located within the family’s primary seat: la duché d’Lyon.
The Bank currently holds only one branch within Lyon but it’s influence is intended to spread across Kaltstaat.
The Bank is currently operating as a small loaning service alongside being the only institution within Lyon where one might procure their various permits, be it for a guild or business.

Services Provided by the Banque:

All services undertaken by the bank will be utterly confidential.
the customer will be given a choice at the start of their time with us
in regards to whether we may say they use us at all.​

Storage-
The bank can provide varying levels of safe security for the storing of riches and other important belongings.
Money- Upon initial use of the bank, a person will be granted the choice of using their radiants to use various levels of security. After their choice is made, said person will be granted one hundred radiants for using the bank, and may begin depositing and withdrawing radiants whenever they would like. The the limit is twenty five thousand (25,000) radiants at once being withdrawn or deposited at once.
Items- Depending on the item, a price will be determined per month to be paid to keep said item safe from harm. Only the person who deposited the item will be able to collect their deposited items, or a signed letter with a coat of arms may be presented to the Banque if the person is either of noble blood or a proven servant of said nobility. For a fee, the banque is able to refund in equivalent monetary value, what was lost.

Small Loans-
House de Courtnay can help fund minor projects and other such loans up to and including 50,000 radiants.
All loans are expected to be paid back in full (OOC and IC) within a period of time based upon the amount of days that it would take to accumulate the full loan’s worth via voting twice per day on one account. If the loan is not repaid promptly within this period of time, a daily non-collective 2% interest (OOC and IC) will be applied to the sum of money that has been granted by the bank.
If the full payment of the loan plus any extra charges due to interest are not received within 3 weeks OOC of the loan’s due date, players are subject to consequences IC under the laws of the house de Courtnay. The money is still expected to be paid back in full plus interest OOCly.

All returned loans are to be paid to the account gott_mit_uns ingame. Proof of payment must always also be provided via screenshots sent in private conversation to Boredbrit.

Coin Minting-
A service that was once privatised to House de Courtnay’s holding Avignon in the Northern Kingdoms, has now once more been taken underway within the duchy. Such coinage is to be provided at a rate of 5% of the intended coinage. 5% Of intended number of coins is to be paid to House de Courtnay

Permits-
So as to comply with the new laws of the duché d’Lyon, Maceo de Courtnay has issued a multitude of blank permits to the Banque, so that those who wish to trade goods or officiate their guilds may do so in a lawful and reliable manner.
Guilds- A guild permit is to be considered by those who wish to have their organisation’s presence expanded to Lyon. Whilst unofficial organisations and guilds may exist within the duché those who hold a legal permit are permitted to sit in on meetings of the state and represent the commercial class of Altera. The typical waiting time to receive one’s permit after applying is 1-2 weeks*. 25 Rads/Month or 250 Rads/Year (OOC and IC)
Merchants- A merchant’s permit is the only legal way one may trade their goods in a marketable manner. This is to say that those who intend to make a profit upon their goods will be required to apply for a permit. The typical waiting time to receive one’s permit after applying is 2-3 weeks*. 30 Rads/Month or 300 Rads/Year (OOC and IC)

to imitate the bureaucracy in a
commerce state such as Lyon.
