| HISTORY |

Birthplace: Vata'inu

Backstory: Kol grew up in a smaller family unit of her clan, boasting only about 10 or so other individuals. She was the first-born that was reared by her mother, so her birth wasn’t that much of a pain, especially with the rest of the family unit to help. She also had a brother, who had been born a good year or two after her.

Whilst growing up during her first few years of life, she had been quite shy to most everyone outside the family unit, partially scared due to the stories her mother and father told her of them, except for some of the A’Keiyah, which they, of course, spoke highly of. As she continued to grow, at around six or so, she had seen one of her family members making pottery. This deeply grabbed her interest, unlike the regular dancing and singing the others were doing. So, she took up the art of it. This, of course, took her quite some time to grab the hold of it, her first few pots, when made, were more or less a glorified pile of clay. After almost a good few long months of dedication to it, she got the hang of it. Proud of herself, she eventually tried to teach her, much younger brother the art she had mastered, but it clearly didn’t turn out well.

Kol, after some time, kept with the task of training her younger-kin in making simple pottery. This was, one of the many times she would find herself mentoring him. On other occasions, she found him to be sneaking out of the roost at night to go steal from a neighboring one. She was, expectedly, shocked at this, and confronted him about it. She had mentored him about it for a little while, but in their conversation, she was convinced to go with him one night. She simply wanted more than pots to trade with her friends.

When she was about ten or so, her younger roost-mates started talking about the groundling demons. She always regarded them with complete hatred, as her parents taught her they were simply demons, abominations to not be trusted. This view was shared by all of her family, save for her younger, and rebellious brother. She often debated with him that they shouldn’t be even thought as anything, but filth. He, on the other hand, was deeply curious about them and wanted to prove his families words to be correct. She said that she would have none of it, but his curiosity had spread somewhat to her, as it always seemed to do..
