Disposition:
Alive. Ambitious. Prepared to shift the tides.

P R I M A R Y
Other Names: "Lulu"
Formal Titles: N/A
Sex: M.
Age: 21.
Race: A Makani of the Lei caste.
Sexual Orientation: Probably heterosexual.
Marital Status: Absent.
Social Status: Very much a vagrant.
Current Residence: He roams the isles of Linlea.

Occupation: He no longer knows what to do with himself.
Date of Death: 6th of Mistset, 2293
Whilst on a voyage, with the Fuvurs, Lualatis was offered as a sacrifice for the wellbeing of those aboard, dictated by what seemed to be random chance. He died locked away in a cave beneath a lighthouse, chained up within a room at the hands of hypothermia.

P H Y S I O L O G Y
Build: Lean and on the taller side of the male height spectrum. As a dancing performer, his body moves fluid with flexibility and has developed the lean muscle of most Makani. He is a tad bit scrawnier now due to lack of proper eating.
Height: 5’9ft
Weight: 105 lbs.
Wingspan: 15ft 6in | 473.5cm
Eyes: A glaring amber-gold.
Skin: Rough and scaly with coloration from various shades of medium grays ranging to black. This includes his beak.
Feathers: Where he is somewhat lacking in compelling feather pattern, Lualatis makes up with the vibrancy of long feathers of brilliant pink creating stark contrast with a whites, reds, and flecks of orange. His inner wings possess the most compelling pattern of deep red and blood orange to the center, and light pinks and whites at the wings’ tips, creating a dramatic and brilliant image when unfurled to the full wingspan.
Posture: He tries to keep himself formally upright as most Groundlings are.
Gait: Calculated, and quick to move from one place to another.
Hygiene: He cleans his feathers well enough.
General Clothing: The only true clothing Lualatis wears is a black sarong decorated by intricate red laces. The sarong is tattered and torn with age and abuse.

P S Y C H O L O G Y
Lualatis is a very confused being. Before the fall of Vata'inu, he was a flamboyant dancer, dynamic in his words, and more than eager to indulge in the world around him. Subsequent to the Fall, and even moreso the lengthy period of isolation after his death, his feathers became naught but a juxtaposition of his demeanor; he is skeptical of the world around him, and certainly not outspoken by any means. But, no longer does he wish to lay naked and afraid as life passes him by. He intends to adapt, grow, and hopefully, trust.
Alignment: Chaotic-Neutral.
Religious Inclination: The Will of Manna.
Humor: He is not a very humorous person. If he does crack a joke, it is likely at the expense of someone other than himself. Sometimes obscene.
Intelligence: Lualatis possesses a great bit of guile. He holds the capacity to be trickster, but the ground is hardly his domain, and he must remain on the defense. He is often perplexed by the workings of the world. Trauma has affected his memory, both long and short term.
Linguistics

+ Yakai
Speech: Fluent
Literacy: Yakai lacks any written form.
+ Kayamon
Speech: Fluent enough.
Literacy: Impossible.

Short Term Goals
Seek company | Avoid the remainder | Heal | Find another Lei | Use a spear | Read Kayamon | Give assistance to Linlea
Long Term Goals
Witness the Weeping Moon's restoration | Learn more of the Groundling realm | Return to Vein'atuus | Seek a partner | "The Entity"

Cherished
-
Appreciated
Talu - The first Makani seen in ages. Loyal, and a guide. Valued companion.
Maui - Leader. More stoic than Kekoa. He does not doubt his capabilities.
Kekoa - A very fierce hunter. Particularly affectionate. He wants to try hunting with her.
Elizabeth Kane - Collected and straightforward. Semblance of humor. A decent start to interacting with Linlea. He didn't grasp much more than that, but is grateful for the first step.
Peculiar
Azish
Ember
Mindful
Aia - He liked her. Ponders her well-being.
Lilinoe - Fancied her. She gave him solace. Holds high hopes that she is still alive.
Tei - A noble one, if not somewhat of a leader. Companions on the voyage. Empathy.
Adiella - A stubborn Groundling. Gave him peaches. He promised to meet with her again.
Uncomfortable
Most naked ones.
Feared
The Fog - A terrible thing far beyond Manna's grace.
Despised
Nwalme Fuvur - A liar and his bane.

He's bouncing back, with.. notable altercations, and a changed theme.

The following post is something I intended to write a whole lot more of, but decided it may be best to keep it short, sweet, and mildly confusing. Perhaps I'll write a Part 2 sometime.

Tagging everyone who had IC relevance or OOC interest in what I intended to write.. sorry if I missed anyone but I'm tired.

Numbing silence. That is all that existed, as it should have, undisturbed by curious creatures. Ridiculous, hopeless creatures invading a preternatural space to rob it of its beloved silence. What was to be seen? What was to be heard? Bickering, disturbance.. Fog; a fog of which drove the sun, moon, and stars into nothingness. It tricked, it deceived, it tortured, it remained, and it gained companionship once again.

“Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained.” A foolish motto, truly. No gain was harvested in this venture; not to those bearing the motto. But, yes, the Fog received what had been yearned for.

A forsaken creature lied solitary beneath the island of Fog; beneath its lonely spire and chained within its locked heart. It was motionless, the reflective incandesence of its feathers and soul absent to leave the being devoid of its brilliance. Its avian wings: grotesquely contorted to satisfy the needs of a withered posture upon the icy ground. They pooled around the creature. Their feathers had once displayed the creature’s spiritual life in dusted shades of fuschia, peach, and rouge to be melded with the sheer
fervency of blood orange; although, now, the creature’s void of a chamber only swallowed its color.
The creature let out a strained, trembling breath. It was waiting; waiting for the first sliver of deliverance that would illuminate the claustrophobic chamber when its door opened. The creature needed to see truth, to be relieved of its chains. Surely, the voyagers would find the drawn lots to only be another ploy manipulated by the Fog? Surely, clarity would flash through their minds, even for the briefest moment, to outshine the Fog’s blinding smite? It was a ruse, yes! The creature’s companions were obviously keen enough to have tread thus far, this was not the end! It could almost hear them now, their steps along the tunnels pathways. The resounding pats of salvation grew nearer!

++++++++++XXXXX++++++++++
For how long did the creature wait? When did the footsteps halt their calls to it? How did silence’s talons come so soon to caress the creature’s own? The harsh clanging of chains rattling against each other resonated through the stone chamber’s space, relentlessly voicing their protest and denial to the scaley wrists begging to be removed from their pin upon the wall.
It was only a matter of time and patience until God’s mercy was bestowed.

++++++++++XXXXX++++++++++
The creature was a fool properly fooled. It knew the true outcome of its unfortunate predicament. Despair was all that lingered behind for it, and now, it was only despair’s caress it would know. Mercy, whether granted by God or the ungodly Fog, would not reveal its presence; it was stolen. Mercy was snatched by a manipulated fate unbefitting of the creature.

“Be wary of the fat and oily one… it has already attempted to trick us.” Warning words echoed in the creature’s mind as though they were scolding in response to the disregard that had been received. Chicanery, it must have been! A botched lottery! God warned the creature by voice of its roostmates, and its at-the-time distress eclipsed its wariness. Fate was skewed the moment the foot was cast upon an unfamiliar domain. Something went horribly awry, and the creature predicted it from the very beginning. God offered signs; illusions of which could only be harbingers of the oncoming deception. Yet, their bewildering nature only distracted the creature from their truest omen. The illusions foretold fate by the hand of the very Executioner, who manipulated the Fog and dragged the creature to it. The Executioner’s companions merely steered their sea vessel in circles, taunting the creature with its very demise!
