Year 203, Pacnifiza

Hollowworld. A massive utopia. Inhabitated by merely humans, but also the most wonderful creatures, yet also the terrifying. After many, many years this place has become a great evironment to live in. Busy towns, cities, villages... people everywhere, trying to sell their stuff in attempt to get bread on the table, everyday again. That's how life is. Many settlements are scattered across Hollowworld, yet there's an island called Pacnifiza. This island is occupied by a humans with their own culture and their own god. The island is in the middle of nowhere, somewhere on the ocean. It's pretty large if you're not used to anything else, but for the normal eye it would definately be small. Guess what the people from pacnifiza speak? Pacnifizian. A very rare language as it's only being spoken on that island. Once there was a man called Marco Pacnifiza, travelling a few thousand miles over sea with his wooden boat. He intended to reach Port Silver for trading purposes, going by boat as he lived on the other side of the ocean. His only purpose was to reach Port Silver, yet he managed to find Pacnifiza. It wasn't on the map at all, and as soon as he found at that the island was an undiscovered island, he was thrilled. Once ashore and exploring the island, he decided to call it Pacnifiza, reffering to his surname. He claimed it as his island, yet he resumed his journey to Port Silver. After reaching Port Silver and returning to his homeland, he told a few villagers about his find. They apparently did not believe him at all, and thought he was lying to get attention or had intent to get profit out of it by making up a story, yet he managed to convince a bunch of people to come along with him to visit the island. Once upon noticing the island, they were as thrilled as Pacnifiza was. After examining and remaining on the island for a few days, they returned back to the homeland - again. The villagers were excited about the island and told fellow villagers about it. The word began to spread, and people were interesting in buying the island, and some even wanted to claim it by using force. So that's what was starting to happen. Pacnifiza continued his life together with his wife and kids at his homeland, and not many years later he sold his island for 80 thousand silver to a rich man from Port Silver. He claimed the island and hired workers to build a house for him. At first he wanted to be his private island, but it began to expand. He invited over affilliates of him to have their own house built on the island, and they started to expand. His affilliates started to invite over other affilliates, and lived there for many years. Once Pacnifiza passed away, a new mayor was assigned. Draco Finnjerizo. A great mayor, yet he decided the island to be public for everyone, and more and more people started to join until the island was becoming more and more crowded, and eventually, reached the maximum amount of population. They were starting to develope families, the families produced children, the children grew up there, and eventually they produced children aswell. They didn't know any better. They didn't know nor realize that there were any more continents than the island they were standing on, every day again. Nobody cared either. They had a great wealth and everything went well. Until one day...

25th of February, year 452

It was a moody morning. As the day proceeded, dark clouds began to cover the clear blue sky. Braccio was standing there next to the lighthouse, having his gaze fixed upon the horizon at the end of the ocean. Just standing there with his hands dug into his pockets. Speculating about what would be behind the horizon. Braccio always wanted to explore, possess a boat and flow along with the waves, far, far away. Suddenly he felt a raindrop falling on his cheek. Looking up as he realizes that he's getting nasty weather soon. Directly after noticing the raindrop, he heard his beloved father yelling something to him from behind. "Braccio, head inside. Laets is on approach." Upon hearing the name "Laets", he began making his way to the house like he never did before. Laets was a feared god on Pacnifiza. The god of thunder, rain and seas. Once inside, he continued staring out of the window. He had a great visual on the horizon from his house aswell. The rain started to gain power and the raindrops became louder and louder as they hit the window one by one. Braccio took a quick step back upon hearing Laets' first thundernoises. Suddenly a loud noise could be heard from outside, which sounded like somebody yelling. Braccio and his dad shifted towards the window near to the direction of the sound, and saw a man impaled by quite a long, wooden arrow with a small red flag tied to it. The man was just standing there, holding the arrow which was sticking out of his stomach and his back, staring at the horizon. After standing there for atleast 10 seconds, he ran out of his last strength, and dropped himself into the dirt, both eyes wide open. He didn't move anymore. He was dead. Gone. He was taken by the gods and brought to heaven. Braccio and his father immediately ran outside, trying to find the cause of this horrible accident. But was it an accident? Braccio observed the evironment in attempt to find any probable cause, and with result. Upon observating the sea, he was able to see atleast seven large wooden ships with huge black sales, whom had set full throttle towards the shores of Pacnifiza. An entire fleet of doom was coming their way, as they weren't just approaching, they were definately the cause. Several arrows were approaching the island at full speed, some of them with flaming tips, about to hit the settlements on the island, including the villagers. Braccio and his father immediately ran back inside of the house upon noticing the curtain of arrows coming their way, yet the house was unable to protect them from the arrows. The walls of the house were made out of wood and the roof out of thatch. The arrows didn't really penetrate the house luckily, and the roof was strong enough to prevent them penetrate, yet there was another problem; the flaming arrows set the house on fire. Flames started to spread across the roof, and began to penetrate the structure of the house. They had no choice but leaving the house, else they'd be burned alive. "Son, we have to make our way to the ship outside. Don't take ANYTHING with you, we got to get out of here right now." is what his father yelled to him. They left the house without any doubt. Directly when they left the doorportal, they heard lots of screaming, and saw deadbodies all over the place. Not everyone was dead. There was also just a lot of people running around aimlessy, not knowing what to do. Being stuck mentally, but also physicially as it was an island. Arrows penetrated houses, burned houses down and penetrated living humans. Bodies were literally being produced as Braccio and his father were making their way trough the chaos. They were almost there. They have the docks in sight. There was a small boat docked there which appeared to be in tact besides most other ships which were burning and sinking. There were some other ships trying to make their way off the island with loads of panicking people on it. Mostly children and women. Right then when they almost reached the docks, they heard someone crying. It was a little girl's voice. Braccio noticed the girl and turned towards her, jerking his father's sleeve in attempt to get his attention to the girl aswell. Once his father saw the girl, he immediately ran towards the girl and once nearby, he noticed that her foot was stuck under a large piece of wood, apparently coming from a roof. "Braccio, go prepare the boat, I'll take care of her!". Braccio casted a quick nod towards his father before making his way to the ship whilst his father proceeded with this heroic attempt to free the girl, almost pinned down by the curtain of arrows. Braccio was waiting on the ship, which was apparently safe and out of the arrow curtain's range, yet his father was still within the range. His father managed to get the girl out of the entanglement, lifted the girl up as she was not able to walk due to the wounds and made his way to the docks; running. Braccio began waving his hands upon noticing his dad at the far end, gesturing him to hurry as he was still within the range over the arrow curtain. His dad yelled something to him which he was not able to hear. He was almost there, until he suddenly stopped walking. He was standing still, just standing there, staring at Braccio, obviously trying to say something but was not able to. He lost grip of the girl, and she fell down on the ground as she screamed. Once the girl was on the ground, she was still screaming. Not long after that, Braccio's father slid down onto his knees, crawling almost a meter forward before letting himself fall down onto the ground. Once he laid flat on the ground, Braccio noticed a large arrow sticking out of his neck. His own father... gone. Away from the planet, taken by the gods. Taken to heaven, to another world. Braccio didn't yell nor say anything. He just stood there, shocked as he stared at his father's body and completely forgot about the girl, who already made her way crawling to one of the wooden piers, trying to hide, but he didn't spend any attention to the girl anymore. He just stood there, staring.

Ten years later...

"PROPERTY CHECK!" A loud knocking noise could be heard on the door as Braccio ran downstairs. He opened the door quickly as he produced a broad smile on his face, greeting the man on the other side of the door. The man was the mayor of the town named Warstrom, which he was currently living in. Warstrom was the capital city of realm of Amyria, which is a nation located in Northern Kingdoms. Viv' aLaLamby was his name. Everybody called him Viv. Just Viv. He was always doing property checks, checking if the peasants of the town weren't hiding any illegal things, or anything which would do damage to the town whatsoever. Braccio casted a friendly nod to Viv', motioning him to enter, and Viva did so, inspecting the room quickly and not really focussed as he trusted Braccio quite well. Braccio is a member of Warstrom for almost four years now. There were some specific town rules in Warstrom, but not real strict one. There was, for example, no taxes to be paid, and that's one of the main reasons why Braccio was living in Warstrom. Gathering resources everyday. That was his purpose and his only active duty right now. He didn't feel like he needed anything else. The death of his father gave him a hard time, but he's over that now. His father will always be deep inside of his heart, whatever he does, thinks, says or feels.

To be continued.
