The City of Amalfia is one of the Founding Members of the Republic of Accadia.

the leader of Amalfia is the Duke, currently Duke Delius Kincaid.
But as Capital city the Signoria (government) has a lot of influence on it.
The Duke also shares much of the responsibility of the city with its Citizens,
modeling it after the system of the government, ruling together.
Industry of the city:
The Industry of the city of Amalfia is very diverse, mostly centered on the
handcrafts that demand precision and time. But Amalfia is also proposing a
different kind of product, that of education and culture. Guilds are also being
funded by the Signoria, As well as the city, it puts a lot of importance on businesses,
small upstart buisness are often funded, or helped with cheap loans or cheap
buildings to start with, There are many investors in Amalfia ready to help
people to start their own industry. It also is a principal of the republic, to share the wealth.
- Smiths : (two smiths shops with one large forge at the city square)
- Tailor: small business, but a tailor of nobles and commoners alike)
- Lumberjack: (probably one of the most productive lumberjacks on the continent).
- Theater, music: The Palace of Amalfia encourages musicians and actors, one can always hear some when he passes by the palace. there are today even works of composing new music, concerto's being played in the city.
- Education : (the city of Amalfia is building on a university, where languages, history philosophy and more will be taught, as well as a meeting place for scholars.)
- Tavern/hospitality: Amalfia is a very hospitable place, the taverns are very welcoming, and comfortable places to take a rest. As well for the nobility, the Ducal Palace of Amalfia has many guest room and House Kincaid is gracious host.
- Bankers : Banking business has taken foothold in the city of Amalfia with more and more people aside from the government being ready to give loans, a Bankers & traders guild is also in construction.
- Shops: many smaller shops, or general stores have started to open up around the city, bringing more commerce into the city.
Climate and Geography:
The City of Amalfia is located on a peninsular of a large river, that the Amalfian's call
the Liri river. The river, with its surrounding valley create a small micro climate in
the regions. Region that has a lot of bountiful vegetations and very large forests. Hence
the lands are very fertile, but agriculture is being made difficult by the surrounding and dense forests, or the step
mountain slopes of the valley.Frequent floods also make
it difficulty for farming on the river borders, it also obliged the City to build on a
Higher basis to avoid being flooded. Thought the Liri River still remains an import
part of Amalfian, alone for fishing, but also for trade and travel.
the climate is that of a more maritime climate, temperate. with cool temperates, as well
as frequent rain. summers are rarely to hot, but winters are rarely cold either.
Culture:
Amalfia see's itself as a cultured city, a place for diversion, arts but also education.
with the Kincaids, important family in the Republic of Accadia, Amalfia has a certain
decree of influence of the lavoyard culture, often rooms in the Grand Houses have
Lavoyard names, like Le Salon de musique. A lot of importance is set on representation.
the reason is not because of extravagant tastes, but has to do with the republic and
its ideals. Here, none-nobles can acquire a large wealth, even a government position,
but since they are not part of the nobility, they lack a certain prestige, which they hope to
show with grand Houses, rare art or even skills. There is also a sense of reward.

Patronage has an important role in the Culture of Amalfia. Often peoples who
have succeed in business, will help others to succeed in theirs. This happens particularly
with music, but also theater to a certain degree. It has helped create a culture around music
in Amalfia, as more musicians come to the city, to play with others, some even starting
to compose their own music.
Both of the above listed, are also contributing to a new part of Amalfia's culture, that of Balls, and festivities. Great music, and grand Houses mix well together, creating a perfect
atmosphere for such festivities, but unlike more strict, classical noble balls, Amalfia
indulges more into free, opined and pleasure festivities. Like masked Balls, fireworks
and such.

as a nice add up for city presentations, instead of just pages and pages of reading! Not that it is bad but it helps to give a quick overview of the city. Maybe also videos of history or so of the world.. but that will take some more work ^^
