{ BACKSTORY }

Before Phemaia lost some of her vision, she had a passion for music and singing. You could find her almost in every night in a tavern, singing her favorite songs to those who came to see her, to her those times were the best times of her life. She did what she enjoyed to do best and couldn't wait to make a bigger name for herself becoming one of the more known opera singers in her contintent, but that popularity also came with risks, one which cost her her eyesight.
According to witnesses, the night that Phemaia lost her eyesight, she was approached by a man, who was apparently of nobility and demanded that he'd marry him because he fell in love with her due to her voice, whom also inspired many others, but she wasn't ready for marriage so she declined. In a fit of rage, he hit her with a bat on her head, with several blows to her temple. Inside the tavern, her younger sister was waiting for her to go home together until she heard her scream.

When she went outside, she saw the man standing ontop of her sister and she saw that he had hurt her. Because she was protective of her sister, she got mad and pushed the man of the balcony, killing him. Holly took her sister to the nearby clinic where she stayed for several days, hidden for the guards, while she heard from her friends that they visited their home and killed their parents. The blow from the head originally didn't remove her eyesight, but over the years she developed cataract as a response from the trauma and infection, which caused the cloudy eyes and made her lose some of her vision.

When Phemaia woke up, Holly told her the news about what happened to their parents and they were forced to leave their country. They went by ship to an island called 'Altera' to make a new life for themselves and maybe Phemaia can get back into singing, or maybe pick up a different job like gardening or helping others.
