Poems and songs of Altera

Silvertread

Lord of Altera
Hello, my fellow person.
My name is Thomas Powderpuff, I'm in charge of the construction of Fort Seawatch in Etheras.
But that's not why I am talking to you. I am writing a book and aspire to have written down in it all the poems, songs and riddles of Altera!
But I need the texts before I can write them down. That's where you come in.
I need you to bring me all the riddles, the poems, and the songs you can find!
Go around taverns, camps and castles and ask around, maybe someone knows a poem that was previously unknown to the world!

(This means you can make them up yourself, and if they are good enough I will write them down. You can either post them here or come to me on the server for a reward.)

The Arbiter of the Gods
Ahem, I believe this thread needs a serious bump. This sounds like an awesome idea. I made up a war song not too long ago but it surely needs some work on it, so feel free to post suggestions upon this :p

Harateth Hear me!
Korigon, give me the power of thee!
Gods of all Altera, strengthen me with will and power!
For I bring death to those, who do not believe...

Kilrox, fill my heart with rage
and strength from the one Beyond Names!
For I shall bring doom and death, for all who deserve it!

Shalherana, and Sallana, make the nature come to life!
For one who believes, needs your help to make your names thrive!

Grey Lady, my Grey Lady, see me come to my death!
For I am ready, I am ready! to face it with my strength!

Like it? :3

I like it, I like it a lot. You should consider joining the Alteran Bards College.
Maybe you could write it down in an ingame book so I can add it to the College library?

The Arbiter of the Gods
Her hair was like field of bronze, and heir eyes like deep seas!
Her voice was as if a bird was to talk, and her glance would melt ye!
When she had moved a single step, as majestic as a cat!
Men would turn their eyes on to her, and would fall in love, just like that!

She lived in village that stood abandoned and weak!
But Her ansestors as beautiful as her, would always live there!
And she keeped the village alive, and she kept it strong!
Rich men would visit from over the land, and would quickly fall in love!

She was loyal to the village, despite many offers!
She remained as the mother of it, though outsiders would be in awe with her!
And she was as innocent as a bird, and as one she moved!
And she was as smart as an eagle, and as one she would be known!

Then one single stormy night, raiders came to the town!
Their leader wanted her, to marry his older son!
And she declined that offer, despite promise of death!
And she declined that offer, knowing it was the end.

She was taken by the raiders, and used as a slave!
Until she would change her mind, those evil men would say!
And she decided to do the thing that all lands still cry about!
For she decided to take her life away, on that stormy night!

The village has survived, and is still, known by her name!
For the ultimate sacriface, would never fade away...

Her hair was like a field of bronze, and her eyes like deep blue sea!
Her voice was as if a bird was to talk...
And her sacriface, greater than it seems....

Wrote this Ballad that I called "The Ballad of Alertia". I have a copy of both that and the other song in books. This one's 9 pages' worth of read

I really like the ballad.
I have a mailbox in Etheras, could you put it in there? Or you could just give them to me when I'm online.

The Living Ghost

(This one I called banes' end, because it talks about how death will come for bane again and bring him back to the afterlife)

A shady man walks through the plains of the damned
With a sword and the heavy toll of death in his hand
He cries out to the darkest of nights
Why he must suffer while evil still fights
He wishes the sound of the nothing will end
Nothing replies that the dead will send
A chance; some hope to the troubled soul
To send him into the darkest of holes
To prove that him living was a mere masquerade
He was never alive, and now, shall
Fade.

LivingGhost that's really good!! Again, please write it down in a book so I can add it to the library.
If any of you are interested in joining the Bards College let me know. It would be great to have you guys in the College.

A few poems that I did inspired by my two most favorite characters... I consider myself a horrid writer, so don't expect them to be any good. That, and I wrote both of them in, about, fifteen or so minutes.

Various Songs and Poems from the Library of Beleg Alda en Nwalme

Basil Brush Hawklight, Fire
Fire, such a beautifal and wonderous thing
It can entertain, it can sing, it can do blooded anything
Fire, so beautifal yet so deadly. Could burn anything from a peasant, to a Lord's levy
So incorruptable, so pure. Yet of your morals, we are never sure

Mori Adam Saeradan, Manipulation
Manipulation, some for good, some to serve Naught
From diplomacy, to Occulemency, to seduction, and what-not
From bribery to black mail, it has many forms
A rarely mastered tool, you'll come to learn, from Tauredal to the University, it's rarely learned
The duty has fallen upon me, it seems, to warn you lot...
Never trust a diplomat with a Silver Tongue... Who used to worship Naught

A poem I wrote a little while ago which is now buried in Fitz's basement:

Dawn of Altera
The might sun lifts up to the sky,
shining us all in it's light, forever.
the burning of flesh and bone,
this is the Dawn of Altera.

The moon retreats over the horizon,
with it a change in the weather.
whether it be fog, sleet, rain or snow,
this is the Dawn of Altera.

Clopping of hooves, padding of feet,
the untying of dogs from the tether.
The shouting of marketmen, selling their goods,
this is the Dawn of Altera.

The clinking of swords, the smashing of shields,
the crying of ghasts in the Nether.
Uniting together and fighting as one,
this is the Dawn of Altera.

The killing of creepers, the mining of ore,
the greatest experience since ever.
Community bracing, friends and brother embracing,
this, is the Life of Altera.

Lord of Altera
*scratches it's troat*

look at the man who's walking
look at how he's talking

maybe he is fighting
maybe he's too frightened

maybe he's joking
maybe he's choking

maybe he's a free man
maybe he stopped fighting his inner demon

maybe it has a meaning
or maybe it's just...
misleading

Markisbeest

Lord of Altera
Burn the wizard, burn the witch
Burn them all, poor and rich

Eat their hearts and shed their blood
Laughter sounds when villages flood

The cruel, the wicked, they all combine
And serving Kilrox, they all will shine

We spit on Harateth, any given chance
Steal his children and together we dance

On mountains of bodies, some still alive
untill in the Bloody Lord's abyss, we dive

Oh beautiful sin, so violent and pure
This poem is for you, for we love you for sure

:D
