We are bringing back region highlights which will be announced the beginning of each month. The perks of Region Highlight is giving your region a free port AND a video of your town made by a media team member that will be featured on our social media as well as the forums.
To qualify for Region Highlight you must meet the following Criteria and submit the application to Lady Alec and Immerael.
Criteria
- Your region must be publicly known ICly. If you place your city in the pool for consideration it will lose any previous secret settlement status and its location is public knowledge.
- Your town must have a substantial section of the city that is RP ready. If your entire settlement is a giant WIP it will not be considered, however WIP buildings do not by themselves disqualify it. Its important to have more finished builds then WIP or at minimum an area folks can freely RP in without a massive dirt outline hovering above them.
- You must have hosted an event in or very near your settlement within the past month. We will be a little lenient on this first Highlight but all future events will need to have taken place within the month time frame, no exceptions.
- You must have a town thread in this section. With clearly stated region rating and region rules.
- Your settlement must be connected in some form to the Travel System. It does not need to be directly connected to spawn but it must have preexisting ports to the settlement.
When a city meets all the above criteria and volunteers their city by PMing Lady Alec and myself, they will be given a number. Then when time comes for us to select a winner we will roll a corresponding number sided die via the rolling plugin in HW. For example if we have 13 valid entries will we roll 1d13 with no modifiers.
How often can a city win?
At first we will not allow a settlement that has previously won to participate again. However given time this likely won't be possible and when we feel that time has been reached we will convene again to determine if we want to reset everything or set a different criteria. After the highlight has ran for sometime we will likely release a poll to see how you the players feel about the way it is being ran and make possible edits based on your feedback.
When will we get our video?
We will endeavor to have it for you at your announcement. However this is completely dependent on our video members Tiberione and Ddaug, so play nice with those two.
