{The Priesthood of Shalherana Link}

"The Lifebringer"
“Nature Herself"
"Goddess of Life"

Deity of Spring, Growth, Forests, Regrowth, Nature, and Life

Holy Symbol: A Green Tree upon a White Field

Holy Colours: White and Green

Motto: She was here first, She will be here last.

Alignment: True Neutral

History and Fluff:
In the Beginning, there was only the Primal Forces. Thought, hope, ambitions - thriving upon the nothing that is the End.. The Void. Shaping and becoming all that is known, shaped by the Immortal Kings. Begotten with no conscious thought of their own, yet the worlds began to grow and they began to ponder that which was around them. The pondering grew to be a consciousness, and as they came upon a mind of their own, they could no longer be one with the Primal Forces and were created into being.
Cut off from the primal forces, springing from the Void- these entities became Gods. The First god, Shalherana, symbolizing the great Growth and creation. As Shalherana rose, there become Jishrim- Created from greed and lust for power, wishing to darken everything but himself. The primal forces, out of need to create a balance, brought forth Harateth- the brother of Jishrim and his opposite. And Shalherana watched as Korog, the god of Craft and Balance and permanence, was inadvertently given birth.
While the others warred and fought and new Gods emerged, Shalherana was experimenting with creation- Creating many different things, forms that had not been seen before by the Gods. Spreading vegetation and base animals upon many lands in many worlds. And as Sallana gave birth to the twins Bilworth and Jax, Shalherana sought her out for aid in furthering her wonders. These two hailed the creation of ten-thousand elves from the joint work of Shalherana and Sallana, and then Shalherana returned to her experiments.
She set forth more base creatures, and all of these creatures she made neutral in her likeness- Bearing no need to do good nor will to do evil. Eventually, she began making more complex beings- beings of Thought! A preface in what was to be her final effort in creating creatures to strengthen the primal forces of nature. Yet, looking upon this- Jishrim saw the power created by these beings and decided to set forth his own kind, a kind to worship him and give him power. Soon.. Jishrim created the race of man. He made them mischievous and violent, driven and curious so they might cause havoc to the others creations- Yet he made them short lived, so they could not live long enough to ponder the ways he had bestowed upon them. They did their job well, making homes from wood and destroying the nature Shalherana coveted so.

She was less then pleased with this development.

Seeing her forests in danger, Shalherana needed beings to watch over her domain. Not specialized in war, she sought out Skeira- who was not specialized in creating. The two came together as Shalherana and Sallana did before- Carving beings out of the nature she so loved and Skeira forging them into warrior beasts to protect that which needed it. The Caparii, they were called, were given a gentle personality and love of all nature from which they were born- Yet possessed the harshness and unbridled hatred for those that desecrate their home. And the first Caparii was born a Goddess from her mothers Skeira and Shalherana, and Shalherana named this child Vermella.
Shalherana was then content to let the others go about their business in trying to educate and convert the mortals, content to see them appear in forms the mortals would understand.
She cared not- Until soon the beings began to die. And the souls of these creatures, having nowhere to go with their conscious minds- Cried out in pain and sorrow as they were dispersed into the Void, at best to be torn to shreds by the primal forces.
Upon seeing this, Shalherana shed a tear for them. The only tear to ever fall from her eyes. And as the tear fell through the Void it began to freeze and take shape. The cold woman of ice borne from it had frozen deathtouched eyes, taken with the thoughts of death, sorrow, and afterlife. This Blind Queen remained unnamed for centuries, her single purpose being to create and manage the Afterlife, aloof from the affairs of the other Pantheon members. And Shalherana, once more, was content.
Soon, the armies of Queen Grief once more began to threaten her creations- Some of the mortal children races she did not even remember coming into existence. Sought with the need to keep balance, Shalherana first came down to contact the mortals, instructing Priestesses in the art of Life- Creating the Sisterhood to revive those lost against the formidable Queen Grief.

As the threats of Corruption came and went, Shalherana persevered. For she was here first, and she would be here last.

Shalherana‘s Doctrine:

1. Thou shall respect all Life- Shall not harm nor aspire to harm of any living creature.

2. Thou shall blemish not the name of Shalherana, and worship daily.

3. Thou shall follow the Divine Law.

Ideal Realm of Shalherana:
There is something important to keep in mind about Shalherana, the Goddess of Life. For she does not care for the quality of life- only the Quantity.
The ideal Realm of Shalherana would be a mass superfungus, bacteria and unfathomable forms of living matter both plant and otherwise teeming in an overgrown world. She does not care for those who are starving or overcrowded or miserable- only that there are more, more, more.

Is kindly to Rahas.
Holds a hatred for Jishrim.
Is kindly towards Sallana.
Wary of Ignis.
Frowns upon the ways of Skraag.
Is kindly towards Vermella.
Respectful towards Theodra.
Holds a neutrality towards everyone else.

Myths and Tales:
~They say it was Shalherana, not the other divines who created the Races of Altera

Shalherana is oft depicted by mortal eyes in a form akin to a fair-skinned woman with hair like shining light, light from both moon and sun. She is robed in leaves or cloth woven of plantlife, adorned by no material that is not of nature. It is rumored one can see endless jungles and utopia when they gaze into the eyes of Shalherana. Bright flowers, glowing in their own right, adorn her figure.
