You wouldn't be the first. People (my characters included) have worn 'Colonial' era outfits a lot in the past. I don't really see it as such a big deal necessarily, since the technology to make clothes existed for millennia, it's just that fashion didn't catch up. Might be a bit of a double standard though since I'm staunchly pro-mid-15th century lock for weapons and armour... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i've always had the mindset that if it effects pvp it should be strictly moderated and watched

if it's something that barely escapes tech lock like a coat or certain style of building whatever

There's kind of a line though. If left unenforced, we end up looking like Victorians in 20th century London. Hard to make a line when we have fantasy clothes too, but theres some viability in trying to keep clothing less modern.

But it IS a sexy jacket.
