The Very Best, That No One Ever Was
(Chapters are now going to probably come out less often than usual now, to one a day or sometimes one every two: sorry if this makes you sad.)

Chapter Five: Friends (fun fun...)

"Miss, wake up please. You're going to miss breakfast. Please wake up." said an unknown voice while shaking Moo's sleeping body. It was the same one from last night at her room.

"Ahh!", Moo screamed (naw I hadn't guessed). She had never been woken up in this manner before other than by her parents which she was familiar with.

"I'm terribly sorry to have startled you, I'm Father Galuf, one of the priests here. (he is an adult just so you know. (Did you expect the place to be ran by toddlers?))" Galuf said, "You might want to hurry for breakfast seeing that you missed dinner last night."

Moo is suddenly faced with the fact that she was left at the monastery by her parents, again. (thanks Galuf, she could have had fun chasing bunnies in her dreams but nooooo.) This made her depressed again.

"Please follow me miss, what is your name?" said Father Galuf.

Moo just sat there silent. She didn't know what to do. She was alone again.

"At least get up and let me show you to the dining hall. You don't want to starve do you?" asked Galuf.

Moo was not fond of starving at all. Being a noble and all, she was used to being well fed. At the time, her stomach already felt like it was eating itself. So Moo got up from the grass and brushed some dirt off of her grass stained dress. She then motioned for Galuf to lead on. So Galuf did and Moo followed, still with a depressed look, but no tears this time.

After arriving to the large dining hall Galuf told her, "Now miss, I expect you to learn the way from your room to here from now on, but in case you don't you could always just follow the crowd that respond to the dinner bell. Now enjoy your breakfast." said Galuf as he left.

Moo went over to the breakfast line and took a tray of eggs and bread (not really just else to have in medieval times, and take that rules of rping! My character actually eats!) and took a seat in one of the rows of tables where no one else was eating.

"What is wrong with her dress?" asked one girl in the room. (remember, it was grass stained)

"I don't know, she must be the new girl." responded another girl.

They, and more people, just stared at her. None of them did anything even though the look on Moo's face showed that she was obviously in much pain. But they still did nothing. Until one girl got up and moved right next to Moo at the table.(cmon you guys have seen this before, guess what she is going to be later on (;).

"What's wrong? If I had to guess, this must be your first day here, is it?" the girl asked. Moo nodded. "I thought so. I remember my first day about a month ago. I was just like you. I thought that my parents just abandoned me and didn't want to see me, but then I received their letters. Do your parents write you?" The girl asked.

"They haven't yet, but they said that they will." Moo mumbled but is slowly perking up.

"Well you got to remember that you just started your first day, you will probably get one tomorrow. I bet that it will say something about how much they miss you and that they hope for you the best. That is what reassured me that they didn't hate me. You should perk up and eat your breakfast. My name is Lise Farrell by the way, what's yours?" said Lise.

"My name is Moochick, Moochick Oaks." Moo said felling more confidently, "but I like to go by Moo."

"That's an odd name. Well, nice to meet you. You should eat, breakfast is almost over and class will start soon. Who's class are you in?"

"Father Funeral's class." Moo said while wolfing down her eggs.

"Looks like we have the same class. He's a great teacher so far. Then again we've only had three classes."

Now Moo has finished her breakfast, and just in time too. "Attention students, breakfast is now over! Everyone go back to your rooms and get into uniform then go to class!" announced a woman at the front of the room.

"Who's that?" asked Moo.

"That's Mother Ferris. She also teaches here." said Lise. "Well we better do as she says before we miss class, see you in class Moo." then she walked away.

Moo now got up and walked to her room as Ferris had instructed. Thanks to Lise, her new (and first!) friend, she now felt a little better about staying at the monastery. Though she still did feel a little lonely, she wasn't going to let that stop her.

The Very Best, That No One Ever Was
I am so sorry about the long delay for Chapter 6, I just don't seem to be getting into it as much because most of the stuff I am now having to pull out of my nose (tricked you there didn't I!). I have point A and Z i need to make up the rest :s

Anyway here is the late Chapter six.

Chapter Six: First Day of School

After Moochick makes it to her room, she changes her clothes to her class uniform, white robes with a blue zig-zag trim around the edges (white robes are always standard for healers in rpgs so of course!). She just then realizes the mess that her only non-uniform dress is in from sleeping outside. 'Hopefully I can find someone to wash this, it's my favorite dress!' she thought to herself. She just tosses it aside and makes her way to her class.

After making it to the classroom, Moochick notices how small her class is, it only had eight students including herself.

"I see that you made it here with no problem." said Lise coming up from behind Moo. (I know what you're thinking you pervs)

Moo turned around with a smile and said, “Yeah, it was simple enough to find my way here. Is this everyone in the class?”

“Yes, this is normal of most classes here. They say that it helps us keep focused on our studies.”

“What do you do in this class?” asked Moo.

“So far we have done nothing but study the holy book, but he said that today was going to be different and that he was actually going to start teaching magic!” Lise said.

“Wow, is that how priests heal people, with magic?” asked Moo.

“Yes. But I’m not sure how yet. That is what we are here to learn.” said Lise.

“Okay everyone! Take a seat, it is now time for class to begin.” announced Father Funeral.

Everyone in the class sat in one of the few desks in the room that were placed in a circular path around the room.

“First I would like to start off with introducing everyone to a new addition to our class. Moochick, come up here please.” said Funeral.

“Yes Father.” said Moo as she got up and went to the front of the class.

“Class this is Moochick, she just came here yesterday. I hope you will treat her nicely as such.” said Funeral.
“It’s that weird girl that was sleeping outside.” one girl whispered to a boy that was next to him. Moo overheard it and started to get a bit embarrassed.

“You may sit down now Moo.” said Funeral.

Moo sat down.

“Now on to today’s lesson that I’m sure everyone has been anticipating, magic.” said Funeral, “Can anyone tell me what magic is?”

No one responded.

“I didn’t expect anyone to know and that is why I’m here teaching. Magic is how we humans are able to ask for more power from gods and use that power to aid us.” said Funeral, “Although not all magic is used to heal people. There is all sorts of magic out there all depending on what god you ask for power from. For example our kingdom is well known for our large number of time mages. They call their power from a god that can control time and use that power to control warp time themselves. As priests we call our power from the goddess of life.” (sounds legit...)

A boy raised his hand and said, “How exactly does a person call on power from a god?” he asked.

“I was just about to get to that. You see, in order to call on the power of the gods you must have strong faith in it. The stronger connection you have with the god the easier it will be to use magic. Then in order to actually call on the power, you must recite a ‘spell’ or chant that relates to what you want the magic to do. As an example we have a volunteer here to help. the Holy Swordsman Heath Dolante has lent us his squire for this demonstration.” said Funeral.

“He needs to know the feeling of pain if he is to come out as a hardened knight.” said a man that Moo just noticed in the back of the room. She guessed that it was Heath. Beside him was Serge, the boy that she met on her first day here. Moo was starting to be concerned about what Heath just said.

Serge walked up next to Father Funeral and said, “I am ready Father.”

At that moment Funeral grabbed a dagger from out of his sleeve and then stabbed Serge in the stomach.

Everyone in the class had many diverse reactions, some just gasped loudly, while others screamed, Moo just sat there in complete shock at what she just saw. Why did he just do that?
(Yay for traumatizing a bunch of six year olds and abusing an eight year old for that matter)

“Everyone calm down, he is still alive. This is just all part of the demonstration.” said Father Funeral.

Everyone did what he said but still seemed a bit shaken and scared now. They could all see the pain in Serge’s face but he did not scream, yell, or cry, he just took it.

Then Father Funeral started to say some words out loud, “Holy light, heal our body and soul in our struggle for survival, Cure!” (yes I am basing the spells off of final fantasy, problem?)

As he said that, Funeral’s hands started to have a blue glow to them, hovering over the wound in Serge’s stomach. The blood in Serge’s wound started to dry up and the wound itself was starting to close. There was a look of relief in Serge’s face as if all of the pain in the world just disappeared. (he could have died... just sayin)

“Are you okay child?”, asked Funeral. (now he decides to ask that?)

“Yes Father.”, responded Serge as a returned to the side of his teacher.

“This class, was a demonstration of one of the most simplest and probably the most useful spell you can possibly learn as a priest known as Cure. It can be used to heal wounds but the more severe the wound the more power you need in order to heal it. Before anyone asks, no, this spell cannot be used to bring back the dead, once a person’s soul has passed on it cannot return to us. You will begin training for this spell next class. For now, does anyone have any questions?” said Funeral. (skipping all basics and going straight into spell casting? oh my)

One boy raised his hand and asked, “What other spells are there besides Cure?”

“We will get to those later Alec.” responded Father Funeral.

Moo raised her hand and asked, “Can Cure be used on more than just humans, like maybe a bird?”

“Actually yes Moochick. But depending on the animal it may be easier or harder, for something like a bird, it would be easier due to the size and structure of the bird.” responded Funeral, “Okay children, class is now about finished. Now please head to your rooms and wait for the caller for lunch.”

As everyone was leaving the classroom, Moo decided to go up to Funeral and asked, “Father Funeral?”

“Yes Ms. Oaks?” asked Funeral.

“May I have permission to go into the garden today?” she asked. (no way, she knows the difference between may and can at age six)

“Yes you may.” said Funeral while writing the note.

As Moo was leaving class she saw Serge standing by a window in the hall. She of course has questions to ask him about the demonstration so she confront him.

“Are you really okay?” asked Moo.

“Why hello to you too miss um... what was your name?” asked Serge.

“It was Moo, you showed me around yesterday, now are you okay?” reiterated Moo.

“Yes, yes I am. Father Funeral is the best at what he does, that is why he teaches these classes.” said Serge.

“Did you know that, that was going to happen in there?” asked Moo.

“Yes, Heath told me to volunteer because a Holy Swordsman must know pain and know it well.” said Serge.

“That just sounds mean.” said Moo. (meany *sniffs*)

“He is doing it for my own good, and it actually will help me in the future.” said Serge, “Well it is about time for lunch, you should hurry to your room and switch out of uniform.”

“Okay then. Bye Serge, see you soon I hope.” said Moo while walking away and waving.

“See-ya Moo.” said Serge.

(nothing interesting happens at lunch, just had some girl talk with Lise, you know about tampons and such... jk, they’re six sillys)

After lunch, Moo went into the garden and went under the oak tree again. Like last time, the birds came to her.

“Hello again little guys.” she said.

Then she started to notice that one bird was hobbling toward her. The bird seemed to be having troubles with its wing (Oh noes!).

“Aw you poor thing, here have some bread.” Moo handed the bird a piece of a roll that she saved from her lunch so that she could feed the birds.

The bird happily ate it. Then Moo remembered her class that she just had today. She wanted to try healing the bird with Cure. She took the bird and went up into her room with it. (the bird was perfectly fine with it of course)

“Now if I could only remember what Father Funeral said during class.” said Moo trying to remember the words. “I think I got it now!”

Moo now placed her hand over the small bird’s wing and, while thinking about the goddess of life, said, “Holy light, heal our body and soul in our struggle for survival, Cure!” A blue light did cover he hand but not as strongly as Funeral’s. (the bird did not flinch of course)

Then suddenly the bird bursted to life and started to fly around the room making chirping noises.

“I did it!”, said Moo, “Look at you fly!”. Moo opened the window in her room and motioned for the bird to fly out.

The bird did not seem like it wanted to go, it just landed on the sill and then climbed on Moo arm.

“Go on little fella, you’ll like it more outside.” But the bird wouldn’t go.

(Okay chapter getting too long, it wouldn’t go, so Moo is now keeping it as a pet bla bla bla end of chapter)
(chapter seven will probably take a while too, my head hurts :()

Nice, pity your taking so long with them :p
Why not just do another skip, give it like 10 years later(or however long you want) and just give a basic outline of her life?

Actually I was already planning that, you even guessed the time frame right as well... get out of my head before you find something you will regret.

My head is already more messed up than most people's, it won't make any difference, I am saving all my madness/anger for about another 4 years, then I will unleash it all on some poor innocent bastard who will accidentally nudge me in the street.
