(Chapters are now going to probably come out less often than usual now, to one a day or sometimes one every two: sorry if this makes you sad.)
Chapter Five: Friends (fun fun...)
"Miss, wake up please. You're going to miss breakfast. Please wake up." said an unknown voice while shaking Moo's sleeping body. It was the same one from last night at her room.
"Ahh!", Moo screamed (naw I hadn't guessed). She had never been woken up in this manner before other than by her parents which she was familiar with.
"I'm terribly sorry to have startled you, I'm Father Galuf, one of the priests here. (he is an adult just so you know. (Did you expect the place to be ran by toddlers?))" Galuf said, "You might want to hurry for breakfast seeing that you missed dinner last night."
Moo is suddenly faced with the fact that she was left at the monastery by her parents, again. (thanks Galuf, she could have had fun chasing bunnies in her dreams but nooooo.) This made her depressed again.
"Please follow me miss, what is your name?" said Father Galuf.
Moo just sat there silent. She didn't know what to do. She was alone again.
"At least get up and let me show you to the dining hall. You don't want to starve do you?" asked Galuf.
Moo was not fond of starving at all. Being a noble and all, she was used to being well fed. At the time, her stomach already felt like it was eating itself. So Moo got up from the grass and brushed some dirt off of her grass stained dress. She then motioned for Galuf to lead on. So Galuf did and Moo followed, still with a depressed look, but no tears this time.
After arriving to the large dining hall Galuf told her, "Now miss, I expect you to learn the way from your room to here from now on, but in case you don't you could always just follow the crowd that respond to the dinner bell. Now enjoy your breakfast." said Galuf as he left.
Moo went over to the breakfast line and took a tray of eggs and bread (not really just else to have in medieval times, and take that rules of rping! My character actually eats!) and took a seat in one of the rows of tables where no one else was eating.
"What is wrong with her dress?" asked one girl in the room. (remember, it was grass stained)
"I don't know, she must be the new girl." responded another girl.
They, and more people, just stared at her. None of them did anything even though the look on Moo's face showed that she was obviously in much pain. But they still did nothing. Until one girl got up and moved right next to Moo at the table.(cmon you guys have seen this before, guess what she is going to be later on (
.
"What's wrong? If I had to guess, this must be your first day here, is it?" the girl asked. Moo nodded. "I thought so. I remember my first day about a month ago. I was just like you. I thought that my parents just abandoned me and didn't want to see me, but then I received their letters. Do your parents write you?" The girl asked.
"They haven't yet, but they said that they will." Moo mumbled but is slowly perking up.
"Well you got to remember that you just started your first day, you will probably get one tomorrow. I bet that it will say something about how much they miss you and that they hope for you the best. That is what reassured me that they didn't hate me. You should perk up and eat your breakfast. My name is Lise Farrell by the way, what's yours?" said Lise.
"My name is Moochick, Moochick Oaks." Moo said felling more confidently, "but I like to go by Moo."
"That's an odd name. Well, nice to meet you. You should eat, breakfast is almost over and class will start soon. Who's class are you in?"
"Father Funeral's class." Moo said while wolfing down her eggs.
"Looks like we have the same class. He's a great teacher so far. Then again we've only had three classes."
Now Moo has finished her breakfast, and just in time too. "Attention students, breakfast is now over! Everyone go back to your rooms and get into uniform then go to class!" announced a woman at the front of the room.
"Who's that?" asked Moo.
"That's Mother Ferris. She also teaches here." said Lise. "Well we better do as she says before we miss class, see you in class Moo." then she walked away.
Moo now got up and walked to her room as Ferris had instructed. Thanks to Lise, her new (and first!) friend, she now felt a little better about staying at the monastery. Though she still did feel a little lonely, she wasn't going to let that stop her.
