~Current Location~

Sanardu

Owned and operated by the businessman Walter Higgins, the Tavern on Wheels is exactly what it sounds. An entire kitchen is packed inside a carriage, custom made for the purpose of serving hungry villagers, nobility or what have you. Originally a baker, Walter Higgins decided that he could better serve the hungry mouths of Altera by making his business more mobile. While sticking to his roots as a baker, Walter branched out into all types of food like a true tavern keeper. All food that is served, is prepared right in front of the customer and is always fresh.

The menu is dependent on the area the carriage settles down in. The owner goes out into the area and finds ingredients native to the area and with cooking skill and halfling ingenuity, he makes dishes with the authenticity of freshly made food down by the local inn mixed with a healthy amount of speed and convenience.

On top of fresh food, there is a wide selection of non-perishables always available. Need a pick-me-up? Try a bun of some hardy soldier's bread or better yet order a pint of booze. One can get beer on tap or something more refined by bottle.

This tavern never stays in one place for too long. Usually it stays for two to three and on rare occasions four or more days in one spot. Once settled, it will accept hungry customers from dawn to dusk.

~Menu~

(Note: this is subject to constant change depending on area)
Lydel Seed Cake - 50 radiants

A true halfling specialty. It is a large fluffy bread pastry, soaked in rum and then baked until caramelization.

Soldier Bread - Bun, 5 radiants - Loaf, 40 radiants

Quickly made, adequate taste and fills oneself with enough energy to get through the day

Assorted Pork Platter - 65 radiants

Cuts of Continental Wild Boar and Sanardian Black Swine, flame seared right in front of the customer.

Mystery Frog Legs - 4 pieces, 10 radiants - 8 pieces, 15 radiants

It can be guaranteed that no two of these pieces will taste exactly the same. Each leg is roasted and salted for savory snack.

Muffins - 20 radiants

You can never go wrong with a good muffin on a nice temperate day. A staple back in Walter's baking days.

~Drinks and Spirits~
Beer on Tap - 10 radiants per mug

Always available and always refreshing. No matter where, no matter when, the kegs are always full in this tavern.

Blood Juice - 10 radiants per glass

Contrary to the name, Walter does not press his business rivals into juice and serve it to his customers. This in fact is the delicious result of crushing the blood oranges that grow in the area.

Ale, Wine, and Whiskey - 20 radiants per mug

The Tavern on Wheel always keeps a steady supply of assorted spirits for customers with a wide variety of tastes

OOC Information:

Essentially, I decided to make a medieval food truck that will hop all over the New World and provide a springboard for activity. I try to use player heads as much as possible when I make food which is why I put emphasis on baked goods since there are just so many heads for baked goods. This is done to add tangibility and immersion to both the food and the environment. As stated above, the menu is improvised based on what he can find in the region he is in and if the region has a flora and fauna page listed that will help me greatly when little Walter goes out foraging.

In order to "move" the carriage, I destruct it and then construct somewhere else based on the copy I have in the creative world. The owner of a region can request where it will be built if not, then I will pick a suitable location to park the carriage.

The order of the places he goes to is determined by several factors, proximity to the region, quality of the road to be travelled on, and time that the application was sent in relative to others. The proximity to the region is relative to the region where the carriage last was. Transferring it also takes time so please allow for at least a day for me to rebuild it in another location.

If you want the food truck and the colorful personality of Walter in your region just apply below with the application format fully filled out. Please note that realistically this is a carriage, therefore it can only travel to regions that are on the main continent. Unfortunately it cannot go to folks who live on islands as of now (that may change in the future).

Before I fill out the form, any chance you'll attend a specific event for this? We're having a tournament and I think it'd be cool to have you there.

Haven't thought of that, but yes I can

And to those who put in applications I'll put in a blurb about how to reserve it later tonight as I am writing this on a phone.

Are you available October 9th? I'm not sure what timezone you're in, but it's at 3:00 PM EST.

It'll be a tight squeeze from school, but yes I am and yes I am in EST

Edit: wait, scratch that, I was looking on September 9th and not October 9th, unfortunately I'll be at a rowing regatta that day from 6 AM to 6 PM, sorry man

Alright, so more information has been added regarding scheduling and the reasoning behind it. Also, the reservation queue is up and running with Sanardu first. The reason why is because I defaulted to spawn in terms of proximity and Sanardu is closer and easier to access from spawn than Valerius.

Little update:

The Tavern is officially out of whiskey as a result of a woman ordering 13 mugs in a row full of it and downing all of them, subsequently ordering four more mugs by literally throwing radiants at the tavern keeper. The woman was later escorted to a room in the actual tavern of Sanardu.

I've consumed 1.4L of whiskey in a night. 17 mugs of whiskey is approximately 6L. I'm reasonably certain that 6L of whiskey would kill me, based on my experience with 1.4L.

You see, in this fantasy universe, everyone has the magical power to drink as much as they can without fully blacking out- and not die! "High fantasy" you may call. NET! NET I say! Go to glorious Russian motherland- they have inherited this gene- but tragically only for vodka. BUT THIS IS PROOF! Proof I say! That the people on this continent are the ancestors to modern day Slavs!
