After Arike had returned home to Silvers Pyre, and the battle having taxed him to a grand degree, he finally sat down at his crafting area and near immediately; He crashed. He literally was that exhausted. But in the morning he came back to his area with a glass of whiskey, and sighed as he took ash-wood from it's compartment and started clacking at it's ends so as to make a box shape, bringing pig-skin glue against it's corners and the like, his one keen eye fixated on the little box. Affixing six golden edges to it, Arike proceeded against the form as he bolted it down against the shape of the onyx-colored box, and in the middle, he emblazoned a bronze ornament to hold a shining, beautiful amber.

This of course, was a gift to Otto; a squire that endeared Arike and reminded him of his youth, and was a friend to Podric and his comrades of now timeless days. This labor of love of course- was a matter of time. The medallion itself was embroidered with dust of glow stone, and affixed with golden plating on the sides and etched a deep groove, legends of Ignis, her holy incandescient manner and laced together with a snake-leather cord, drenched twice in anointed oils of the War Priest- and finally blessed by Arike, not in any physical form, but a holy manner, really.

After placing hinges in the box, he set it in the Sun so as to christen and bless it more so to speak, and then proceeded to hold it over a fire so as to burn the wood ever the slight and treat it. He cushioned the inside with red cloth, layered three times as he put a book of translations in terms of Common, and layered it once more, adding in two smaller boxes on each side- both full of rubies. They were stolen, of course, but no one needed to know that. At least Arike didn't. In between the two tiny boxes inside of the box, rested now the Amulet of Light, a shortly glowing amulet of golden accord, fit for one to praise the sun in honest regard. Written out aswell, a note. It is delivered to Otto's place of residence. It's sealed in a black wax symbol of Crusade, at least.

" Esquire Otto,

I'm pleased to have fought alongside one of your mentors,
Podric Flanders, and are pleased to know you train to fight
darkness in the future. These trinkets will suit you well in
any future endeavor to find yourself weaponry that allows
you to fight akin to your brothers and sisters. Remember
deep in your heart that there is a truth in Ignis. It is that
Her Radiance will guide for eternity.

Light Guide,
Arike. "
