Hello there!
I made a similar thread over a year ago, but since many new members have joined us and old ones have gone, I thought I'd give it another go!
Are there any artists out there who like to draw comics or at least would like to try their hand at it?
I've got two ideas, depending on what people like most:
1. To create a small comic together;
- Each artist gets to do one page, they can choose how many windows to use, but the canvas will be A4 (or A3 / A2, we can always downscale if the dimensions are right).
- They do get some things that have to happen on the page, either through drawings / text / text-balloons / etc.
I've seen this in real life, a mate of mine joined it, and it looks really nice. All kinds of artists with all kinds of different styles, yet the story is ongoing and the same. The only thing the artists need to keep in mind is to draw the main character(s) according to their description.
2. To create a funny page per person, and then combining it all into a small collection comic-book;
- Each artist gets to do their own page, with their own characters and their own story.
- The artist gets to choose a script that they will try and draw, or think of one themselves / among their friends.
Ray1333 once said something in OOC-chat that spoke so much to my imagination, that I drew a comic page about it. It is exactly this kind of thing that I think would be great to have as a script for people to draw. Only thing is that each page needs another script / joke.
In the end, if we have enough people to join, we'll end up with a book that everyone can print at their home and put on their bookshelf; a real HollowWorld community product Cool souvenir, no?
Who's interested?
If you like to join, please pick an option of the above if you prefer any or if you don't, choose both.
I think after the vote for options, we can decide which option it is going to be and move from there with either collecting one-page scripts/jokes or choose a story that we all feel passionate about drawing a page for.
Curious to see the 'turn-up' for this idea.
Cheers!
