So BF watches it and told me something VERY interesting. It's a spoiler I'm pretty sure, so here:

Apparently, Korra ends up in a same-gender relationship. That is extremely impressive to me considering that it's aired by Nickelodeon. I mean, I've yet to hear of a show aired on a kid's network that actually displays a homosexual relationship, and I'm sure they're gonna get hate/publicity off of this. Even though I've never seen more than five minutes of LoK or the Avatar show, I'm glad that at least this show is brave enough to show it.

No, no she does not. Whoever is spreading these rumours needs to stop. Korra is clearly shown in the show to be firmly heterosexual.

Kill la Kill, Death Note, Nichijou, and FMAB were all suggested already.

Azumanga Daioh. I am still watching it, but it is a hilarious school life anime comparable to Nichijou.
Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei has a great sense of humour, albeit a bit on the dark side.
The Minami-ke seasons arr a relaxing slapstick anime that are actually interesting.

What makes you think this will get a 3rd season?
An adaption that cuts out 60% of the actual story content to have the time scenes that only appeal to 16 year olds don't really get that much BD sales, thus not profitable --> no further seasons.
