I've begun using kissanime for most of my anime watching. It has quite a few ads, but they can be minimized.

Besides the ads, it has great selection, HD streaming, ongoing shows, and it keeps track of which episode I'm on (always a great help).

@DraconDarknight Finished Fate/Stay Night, pretty awesome, although I didn't know there was going to be a second season so I assumed it was going to finish on episode 12. Shirou was kind of annoying though.

The choices in the VN generally vary between the different roots.
In the original Fate/SN the Main heroine was Saber, in this one it is Rin.

In the final one (meaning next fate anime lol), which btw has a movie made atm, the main heroine is Sakura.

You will see some consistency in Shirous behavior throughout the routes(and thus different animes) such as his ideal which everyone says is borrowed, other things though can turn out completely different.
In Rin's route for example you see him getting into fights with Archer constantly, which will be more understandable after the second season. - I don't want to spoiler that though

Started watching Parasyte last night, and when I say started I mean I'm already on episode 16. It's sooooo good. So different to everything else I've watched. Sadly I'm going to catch up with it so it's another thing I have to wait a week for each episode. But damn... it's awesome.

The main character is sometimes quite annoying in that he acts heartless when he's talking to his lady then acts like a pussy when he needs to get shit done, such as killing a witness.

I like him for that reason, humans aren't really the most rational beings - as it is said numerous of times - and how they take situations is really dependent on their surroundings.
It is one of the reasons I like it.
It is not just a general protaganist that is fearless and fights through everything with his "bravery"

True. It sucks that Migi can't take control of both hands because then he would be unstoppable If he didn't keep falling asleep too xD He needs to sort out his sleeping pattern, or drink some coffee.

Next Kantai collection episode
'I'm not a Hotel' <-- definitely at least 50% SoL and Comedy. The other 50% are to be seen.

Also hint which ship is meant for those who watch it and don't get the historical reference: Look at the Armaments - they make her identifiable

She was built in Kure and is a battleship.

Just finished Black Bullet, was really good, but I think it could have done with being a bit longer because it seemed rushed in places. Aside from that I would have liked to see a S2 because some people just disappeared and nothing was explained. I would have liked to have seen under Hiruko's mask.

;_; This thread, I wish it wasn't so long because I"m not reading through 59 pages xD That said....About the only genre of anime I can't stomach is magical girl stuff, any hidden gems that anyone knows about? I've watched or attempted most of the commonly referred to as good anime and a few meh ones. Currently I'm watching Aldnoah.Zero, Tokyo Ghoul and Your Lie in Spring as they come up.

Generally everything from PA works, mostly Slice of Life.
Their most recent project 'Shirobako' revolves about an Anime company and shows how hard it actually is to make anime, without being just an explainationary video - it has its own story it follows.

Sengoku Musou is also a good one.

Other than that I can only suggest Kantai Collection.(Chrunchy rolls I think)
While it appears magical girl at first its actually more based on a japanese folklore that objects can get a soul after some centuries.
Its based on a game, but still enjoyable even if you don't know the game.

Older ones: Log Horizon Code Geass; damn there are so many that never make it to public knowledge :/

I can suggest an anime called "World Trigger".
It has a good story and is all in all enjoyable. There are still episodes coming up and it seems that it is about to get interesting.

(It is not some kind of "magical" though, there is a decent explanation behind all of the powers and they are not to strong )


I can also 100% suggest parasyte -the maxim-
It is a really good anime, that is not afraid of showing blood, but in realistic amounts

I've watched it all, and may have read the light novels to boot <_< I would make a list of all the anime I've watched but....it would take a while. Code Geass I loved and watched all of and I'm waiting to start Parasyte until the second season finishes airing so I can binge watch it all. Though the Kantai collection and World Trigger I'll give a go.

Kantai may appear like Magical girl at first, but I can assure you it isn't.
The general story outlet looks like based on folklore(like spice and wolf with the animal goddess), so yeah take any of the characters you see as the corresponding ship that got soul after some centuries.
And despite its first rather peaceful impression it has some pretty dark (and frustrating) elements of the game.

I'll try no promises I tried so hard to watch Puella Madoka Magicka a while back. I know it's not really about Magical girls and is supposed to be great but I could not bring myself to watch anymore after the first episode I was just done.
