[IC] Buying Artifacts, Maps, Books, Artwork, and Sculptures

IC: Morgan Cerendor, Curator of the Archive at Compendium, is making an effort to preserve and protect the history and lore of this world and the ones before it. If you have items of historical significance, artifacts or relics divine, arcane, or mundane in nature, maps, books, artwork, or sculptures, consider donating or selling them to the Archive for preservation.

Likewise, if you are a writer or scribe, a cartographer, an artist, sculptor, or are otherwise engaged in a creative profession, and you would like to be commissioned by the Archive to create works in your profession, please contact the Archive.

Once in the possession of the Archive, items are carefully stored to ensure preservation, and are periodically displayed for all to enjoy.

Please also contact the Archive if you have interest in curating exhibits or building.

OOC: In addition to the preservation of IC things, I am also after OOC rarities for similar purposes: preservation and public enjoyment. If you have anything interesting or rare that you'd like to donate or sell to the Archive, do let me know.

I will offer OOC compensation for OOC and/or IC items or work. I don't have as much money as I once did, but I'll try to make offers reasonable.

How would one get a hold of the Archive IC? Are they easy to find?

Sure, the Archive is at Compendium. There is a poster in Storm's Landing as well as a Compendium Extension Office next to the port to Compendium. All of this should be considered public knowledge.

In that office there are book and quills that you can use to write to compendium. You can also RP with me if you see me online. Finally, feel free to send me a PM on forums with an ic letter.

I'm planning a return to a dungeon like event with historical significance, if you're interested in going to collect relics. I can also see what I have about that could be considered a rarity. (I have endstone and a nether star, but I've been flip flopping over what to do with the star, so I'm hesitant to give it up, and endstone if not used as an odd limestone IC would have to be reported to lore team so they know what locations have a piece. Ced Lannis ) But Id be willing to help with ideas and such.

Endstone doesn't exist in Altera IC. If you have any, it's just considered a funny looking mundane rock.

Lore team allowed me to have endstone IC as long as it wasn't spread out. I only shared that with one other person, being Elz, making two pieces in existence that are confirmed

I have to ask about IC endstone as there was this bit on display in Thiil forever ago and were told by Faelin who was loremaster at the time it is not in fact matter and cannot exist except in very unique circumstances. Which I took to mean magical method of some kind (No particular reason for this, just that I know of no way of reaching the End IC without magic on the level of last generation magi or Divines that are no longer active).

Best I can say is speak to Ced Lannis Solus as they were all in the conversation when I asked what it could be IC. The response was that it was a rare retrieval of a Planar crossing and that any and all had to be reported to them, as they didn't want many pieces in existence, hence why I only said the two, but that no one in the world would be able to identify it as Endstone, rather, just an extra-planar stone.

I have several stacks of it myself, so I am curious to know the answer. I got it from Hierax, and Im pretty sure they got it during an event.

On EndStone:

I'm going to clarify this, as this question went by where we haven't checked on what was answered on the FAQ thread so long ago. I'll repost there, too. End blocks aren't normally available in our world as there is no viable way to physically go there right now.

Faelin had written: "Not since some clarification of old, old lore. Ender materials with very few exceptions are not actually "matter" in the sense of a tangible material, and they cannot exist as such in Altera." I'll add in 'currently', at the end.

Endstone will be an exception, however, the "texture can be explained away as funny looking rock" - Faelin. It holds no special properties, does not glow, etc. I am aware some old players had taken some samples from past Exodus battles, it'd most likely be brittle rock. It should be extremely rare.
