Emamou

Legend of Altera
About You!

1. What is your Minecraft username?
Emamou

2. How old are you?
14 years of age, (turning 15 in 3 days ^_^)

3. What country are you from?
Belgium

4. Have you read the King's Law, Code of Conducts, Official Lore, and the Player Guides yet?
Yes

5. In your own words, how would you define metagaming and powergaming?
- Metagaming is the act of using OOC information to influence your actions/decisions in roleplay.
(Example: you walk up to someone, have never met him before in roleplay, and you say “Good morning Tylor!” (Let’s say his name is Tylor). Your character could not have known Tylor’s name and yet you knew it because you saw it written on his nametag.

- Power gaming is when your character does something physically/humanly impossible or when you emote actions on behalf of another player.

6. Do we allow X-Raying mods or X-Ray texture packs on the server?
No

7. Name one of our current Mentors.
223hero7 (223Hero7)

8. Tell us about yourself!
I was born in Belgium, therefore I speak French. At the age of 7, I started learning English and have continued doing so ever since. I can’t say my English is flawless unfortunately, I do occasionally make spelling mistakes and I do not know a large variety of vocabulary.
I’ve been roleplaying on numerous other roleplaying servers for a few months now and have grown very fond of them. I’m still struggling with emotes though but I hope HollowWorld will help me improve them, along with providing me with an immersive and fun roleplay experience.
I love reading and writing and I’m not a very outgoing person, staying in my bedroom for hours straight in front of my computer is what I love best.
I’ve got a cat and a dog, (they both hate each other by the way), a brother and a sister.

9. Do you have any examples of your work?
No

10. Did anyone refer you? If not, how did you find our server?
Yup, MrMine (MC IGN: MrIMineHard) ;)

About Your Character!

Character Name:
Katsa Edelinne Molde

Character Age:
19

Character Race:
Human

Appearance:
Katsa’s 5’5ft tall with golden blonde hair fashioned into a ponytail. When loose, her hair goes down to her waist, but she prefers it tied so as to prevent any strand of hair from going into her face. It can be quite bothersome otherwise. Her skin’s color is beige and her eyes are of soft grey.

(Optional) Picture of the Skin:
(I did not make the skin)

Written Test!
The sun shone through Katsa’s window as she rose that morning, disheveled and yawning. She scrunched up her face, rubbed her eyes and got out of bed, stretching her arms widely. She’s never really cared about her manners. She woke the way she wished it, not a care for other’s opinions. Though today…yes today would be different, she told herself as she took her brush from the shelf and combed her hair, fashioning it into a ponytail with one swift movement.

Her bedroom’s ceiling hung so low that Katsa had to slung her head to prevent herself from bumping her forehead into it. It hadn’t been a problem when she’d been younger, but now…

She sighed laying the brush back on the shelf by the sink and lifted her gaze to the mirror that hung on the wall. It could hardly be called a mirror at all for it was broken in so many places that Katsa’s fractured and blurred reflection looked back at her as she locked her gaze with it. Might be time for me to replace that, she thought with a click of her tongue. Wait, no, she shook her head, drawing in a breath, I’ll need the money for later, for the house.

Katsa had grown up in a big family, she was the second to eldest of four sisters. Her mother had been quite shocked when she’d given birth to yet another daughter, and disappointed. She’d hoped for a son, for he would bring her food and wealth. But her mother’s disappointment did not linger for long as it turned out her children were a bundle of joy. They all grew ignorant to the fact that they had little to no money because love and compassion reigned in the house, so the younglings did not think about poverty. Only when Katsa got older did she realize how difficult it was for her parents to feed all of them, but she couldn’t do anything about it. So she lived by the day and slept peacefully at night.

When neared her 18th birthday, she knew she had to be out of the house soon to set out on her own journey, start her own life. Though Katsa did not want to do that, she was so accustomed to her parents looking after her that she was afraid of having to look after herself, afraid of what it’d be like, to be independent instead of relying on her mother’s dinners and her father’s work.

But when the clock chimed her 19th name day, Katsa could not delay her departure any further, she had no other choice but to step out of the door, leave her house behind and set out on a new path.

She blew a sigh through her nose as she opened the tap to wash her face. Today would be different indeed.

When she had dressed herself and was ready to exit her room, she swung her satchel she had readied the day before over her shoulder and yanked open her door-

To find all her siblings in front of it, blocking the hallway.

She barely had time to register all of their faces that they soared through the door all at once, tackling her to the ground with their bone-crushing hugs.

It was their own way of saying goodbye, it seemed.

She couldn’t hold back her laugh, “I’ll miss you too girls.”

A few hugs later, they were all gathered before the front door, Katsa carrying her satchel over her shoulder. It was all she needed. She gave each of her sisters a kiss on the forehead before embracing her father and mother last. She wished she could hold onto them and never let go, because having to face the world on her own was something she was not quite ready for, or so she thought.

She gave a faint nod to all, a smile that didn’t reach her eyes tugging at her lips. It might be the last time she saw them.

The wooden door closed behind her as she stepped over the threshold. It rained. She hated the rain. The water made the path all slippery with mud. Sighing she rolled her shoulders, tightened the straps on her satchel and set out on her journey.
