PokéWatch Aftae - VoltWhite Nuzlocke

Exclaimer

Lord of Altera

ALL ABOARD THE HYPE TRAAAIIINNN. WOOP WOOP.

Standard Nuzlocke Rules:

1) If a Pokemon faints, it must be released or boxed. Permanently.
2) You cannot catch duplicate Pokemon, or an evolution of an alive Pokemon you own.
3) If you lose a battle, you lose for good.
4) Every Pokemon must be nicknamed.

Modified Nuzlocke Rules:

5) I am allowed to catch TWO Pokemon per area. This is determined by the name of the area.
6) If I defeat a gym leader, I get a free catch that I can use ANYWHERE, Regardless of the above rule.

(I am using a few action replay codes, such as the re-battle Trainers cheat, multiplied EXP cheat [actually makes the game not near as grindy as I lose Pokemon], and IV/EV checking cheat.)

VoltWhite Romhack, by Drayano, can be found here.

VoltWhite is a ROMHACK of Pokemon White Version that makes the game immensely more difficult. Level scaling is rougher, the enemies have better stats and Pokemon, and generally, you're gonna have your butt handed to you on a constant basis. The story and plot are absolutely unchanged.

In VoltWhite, you can legitimately catch every single Pokemon in the entire game, through some way. That way, you can, if you wanted, complete the Pokedex without ANY trading. Why you would do that, I don't know.

IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE STORY, YOU WON'T LEARN IT HERE.

Day One

Game started. Yay!

Boy or girl?

FML I CHOSE BOY

I guess I'm Aftae the boy now. Yay?

Here are Chenren and Bianca! They're both going to be terribly obnoxious and take up several hours of storyline, so know them well! Also, you'll lose your favorite team members to them! :D

Opening Credits. Why.

SNIVY! YAY!

Battle 1: Bianca

SNIVY HAS CONTRARY HOLY SHET

Won! Yay!

I had 8x EXP on by accident. WOOPS.

Snivy is now level 11.

Battle over.

Exp Cheat now turned off. Will enable after second gym.

Sorry Chenren, I cheated. ;_;

Battle 2: Chenren

Snivy used Tackle. Critical hit. I win.

Battle over.

So... I'm not using Snivy for a while. :/

Room's a mess. Steroid-Snivy wrecked it. Thanks Professor...

Bicycle and Phone acquired!

OH MY GOD SO MANY PIDOVE. LIKE FIVE.

Enter Bianca's house. Her father sucks.

blah blah blah Pokedex blah blah blah NICKNAME SNIVY TIME

Uhhhh....

Tybalt the Snivy. Yes.

Maps. Who even uses those?

WHY DO CATCHING TUTORIALS EXIST.

Lillipup! :D

She's gonna be... Athryl. >:3

huehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehue

Another Lillipup! Sadly, cannot catch. Athryl would have liked him. :(

It's a Zigazigoonu!

He's gonna be... Habin. :D

Athryl is gonna be easy to train. Level 6 at catch. Habin's level 3. Not so much...

Athryl has proven her worth, by defeating an equal leveled Hoothoot. She is now level 7.

Habin is level 4, by piggybacking off of Tybalt! Thanks Tybalt, you always defend the weak and help them grow. :3

Habin against an equal leveled rival Zigzagoon...

Habin has superior speed.

Habin has been outplayed. Sorry Habin, but you need to train more. :(

TYBALT SAVES THE DAY

Habin absolutely destroys this equal leveled Hoothoot though. Didn't take any damage whatsoever. :D

*lots more wild battles*

Potion obtained.

WAIT HABIN HAD PICKUP THIS WHOLE TIME. BEST. EVER.

ATHRYL ALSO HAS PICKUP. ALLLLLL THE ITEMS.

Antidote + Full Heal obtained.

LEGENDARY BIDOOF APPEARS. Luckily, Habin defeats it. Barely. We survive another day.

My normal brethren are now both level 8. Time to move on. We'll miss you route 1!

WHY POKECENTER TUTORIAL.

Why isn't there a skip-tutorial button?

*attempts leaving* "Dafuq you doing Aftae, talk to the lady"

*repeat process five times* *give in*

Buy ALL the items!

Obtained 6 Pokeballs and 6 Potions.

Chenren: "Aftae! Come here!" (standing right behind him)

My name is Get This. *speech*

Oh hai team Please-ma.

Oh hai Nitrogen.

Battle 3: Nitrogen.

Athryl vs Nincada! We got this! Spam tackle!

Nincada defeated. Mankey was sent out.

We have the disadvantage, but lets press forward anyways! Leeeeerrrrr!

IT HAD DEFIANT WHAT A TERRIBLE IDEA. IT USED LEER. THANK THE LORD.

Athryl GTFO and Tybalt enters.

Mankey used Leer, Tybalt becomes IMPENETRABLE.

Tybalt nearly slays the Mankey with one Vine Whip. Takes four HP from a Scratch.

Mankey down. Ahtryl grows to level 9! Purrloin was sent out.

Tybalt takes two HP from scratch, and two-shots in return. Tybalt is just barely under level 12.

Battle over.

*heart pulsing fast*

Chenren: "Strange guy." PPFFFFFFFTTTT

Lets heal please. ;_;

Habin still chilling out, didn't see any action that battle.

Pokeball obtained. Strange guy just gives me it.

RUNNING SHOES GET.

Takes five minute break.

*said five minute break is spent cuddling*

Catching more Pokemon time! Our lottery brings us...

First, Obtain Potion.

We get a Purrrrrrloin! I think we know who this is gonna be.

Michcat the Purrloin! You're a male, right? Right?

A Kricketot? Uh... sure... first two-gyms fodder I guess.

Oh god it has bide. I don't catch this in two tries, Athryl dies.

First try fails... I am heavily considering just KO'ing it.

I switch to Tybalt just in case.

NNGGGGGGHHHHHH 7 HP remaining. Thank you Tybalt. Took it like a champ.

Send out Habin to tank for a sec. Takes 6 HP from Bug Bite, das good.

Second Pokeball fails. Most intense bug fight ever.\

Third ball succeeds. *sigh of relief*

This bug is quite the champ. I will name thee... Ardaric. He'll be the thug for a while.

Time to check the pickupers, after Athryl just one shot's a Poochyena. I think Athryl's getting to be the star, if only Tybalt didn't exist. Competition between the two ensues...

Neither of them have anything.

Message board says Route 2 is sunny. It's nighttime.

Ardaric against a level 8 rival Kricketot. Ardaric's time to prove his merit as he is very obviously at a disadvantage, being two levels lower :/

Ardaric is faster. Thug level +1.

Uses Growl, takes 9 HP from bug bite. Thug level -1.

Time to switch ;_;

Tybalt is weak to bug, so Athryl comes in and takes em out. Only proving to be better and better :D

Habin still has yet to be used.

Battle 4: Youngster Jimmy

Ardaric vs Hoothoot. Thuglife, Ardaric stays in despite me telling him to get the hell out.

Hoothoot uses Growl. I used Struggle Bug. Dat special move. Does piss-poor damage.

Hoothoot uses Foresight. Okay. I use Growl, setting up for Bide shenanigans.

Hoothoot Hypnosis lands! Noooooo! But Ardaric woke up thanks to SHED SKIN. WOOOOOOOOO

Hoothoot uses Growl. I use Growl.

More growl. More hypnosis. More shed skin.

Bide time... hoothoot does 2 damage. I return four. Slowly winning.

Thug life.

Critical hit. Ardaric has fainted. Dammit Ardy, why did you do this. *sighs in despair*

Alright, lets send in Michcat, see what he can do. Faint attack one-shots.

Michcat hits haaarrrddd. Faint Attack two-shots Wurmple, and Patrat.

Battle over.

*sulks over to the Pokemon Center, saddened to have seen his thug-bug pass*

You'll be missed Ardy. *waves goodbye, heals, and sets off again*

*takes ten minute break because actually sad*

*comes back from longer-than-ten-minute break*

Ready to Pokemon again. We miss you Ardy.

Back to route 3! Lets train Habin a level.

Habin learned Headbutt at level 9! He hits 40% harder now, and has flinch chance.

Oh hey, a small girl child! Come at me.

Battle 5: Lass Mali
Habin vs Zigzagoon! HONOR BATTLE TIME.

Use your newfound technique, Headbutt!

Does 49%, flinches, does 49% again, gets hit by Tackle, then finishes it off. Habin reigns supreme.

Pidgey sent out! Headbutt did over 50%, and she used Razor Wind! Free KO!

Meowth next! 2HKO again!

Habin's level 10!

Caterpie gets promptly flinched, and destroyed. Habin is ultimate Zigazagoonu.

Battle over.

It's Michcat's wild sister, another Purrloin! Lets not. *flees*

She appears again. Alright. It's time. Go, Michcat!

Michcat reigns supreme.

Athryl somehow managed to reach level 10 with that battle. Yay!

Battle 6: Youngster Roland

He sends out Lillipup! Go, Athryl! HONOR BAAATTTLLLEEE.

Bite spam is victorious! Clean KO!

:O

He... sends out Kricketot...

Athryl spares me the sadness and Bite-flinches it for the win.

Weedle falls to Bite spam. Athryl is now level 11, with the big boy Tybalt.

HE OWNS A LEGENDARY BIDOOF. Michcat save us!

Faint Attack cleans up, and we win the battle.

Battle over.

Obtained an Everstone and an Oval Stone!

Craaaapppp. Bianca called me out.

"Ready or not, here I come!" I'M NOT READY

Battle 7: Bianca

Michcat vs Meowth! She leads with Fake Out!

IT DID TWELVE HP. OWWWW.

Michcat is too injured. Tybalt shall save us!

Oh Tybalt, how your grace has fallen from misuse. You survived with 7 HP.

Tybalt is level 12!

Tybalt vs Oshawott. First, lets heal please. Potion used.

Tackle got critical hit. ;_;

All is fine! Vine Whip two-shot the Oshawott and won us the battle.

Battle over.

Enter Striaton City. Yay!

Attempt to go to next route. Denied. I have to do the scary gym first. ;_;

PokeCenter time! Heals and buys!

Obtained 4 Pokeballs and 5 Potions.

Time to explore!

Obtained Great Ball!

Obtained X Speed! Do not use! Drugs are bad!

Obtained yet another Great Ball!

GREAT GREAT GREAT

Obtained ten Dive Balls! From a shady man behind a building.

Obtain ALL the Pokeballs!

Chenren wants me to battle!

Nopenopenopenopenopenopenopenopenope

Obtained a Full Heal! Quizzes are fun right ;_;

Back to Route 2! Training time!

Michcat immediately grows to level 10!

Sand Attack? Why not. Forgets Assist for Sand Attack.

NOOOOOOOO!!!!

Michcat fought a Caterpie... Bug Bite got a critical hit...

Habin avenged him. He showed no mercy.

*the short walk lasted for what seemed like half an hour*

I'm so sorry. You were the best cat. Shoulda not been careless against Wild Pokemon.

*waves goodbye as Michcat shrinks and blips out of existence*

I guess I'm done training for today.

*saves and logs off*

Day Two

*resumes training session*

Okay, lets get Habin and Athryl to 12 and Tybalt to 13.

*obtains Skittles*

Athryl reaches level 12! Wants to learn Helping Hand! Athryl's just chock-full of crafty moves.

Don't need Odor Sleuth.. I have Bite :/

Athryl forgets Odor Sleuth for Helping Hand!

Habin picked up a Super Potion! F'ing SWEET.

*favorite song plays on Pandora*

NNOOOOOOO DDAAAAMMMIIITTTT AALLLLLLL

Habin against a level 8 Mankey. Low Kick. Critical hit. Habin faints.

... I've lost two Pokemon now to stupid training procedures.

Tybalt, finish this please.

*begins the journey to the PokeCenter, a walk that is becoming all too familiar*

Habin fainted with a Full Heal in hand. I don't take it. It's his.

Goodbye Habin. I already miss you.

*The Zigzagoon shrinks and fades, with a final goodbye*

Down to Athryl and Tybalt now. I guess I'll finish training Tybalt then.

*continues training, doesn't let Tybalt fight any bug types*

Tybalt reaches level 13. I'd let it learn Growth, but that doesn't help him with Contrary. Doesn't learn Growth.

I feel like getting Athryl to level 13. I do so. I don't let her fight Mankeys.

Athryl one-shots Poochyena now.

Ahtryl reaches level 13. Lets go to the Dreamyard now.

*enters Dreamyard, but no access to bushels*

Oh hai Lass.

Battle 8: Lass Forgot To Check Her Name

She sends out Sentret! Go Athryl!

Bite spam for the win!

She sends out Starly! Genuinely scared, those things hurt.

Not enough though, Athryl takes it out!

She sends out Skitty! I think Athryl's too hurt, I send out Tybalt.

Good job Skitty. You identified Tybalt. That is indeed a Snivy.

Tybalt uses Vine Whip, does about 33%. It's starting to be lackluster with its 35 Base Power. :(

She uses Tail Whip and powers up Snivy though. Still amazing.

She sends out Azurill! Time to finish this!

Oh god. It has Sap Sipper. Vine Whip increases its attack!

Bubble does literally 1 HP though, I'm good. Tackle spam, proceed to win.

Battle over.

A cut tree. Don't have cut.

"My Rattata is in the top percentage! Really!" Oh god. Please no.
Battle 9: Youngster Joey

Athryl vs. Rattata. Athryl has 2 level advantage.

It uses Focus Energy. Oh... god... please no.

Dodge the Flame Wheel! Yeeeaaaa!

Rattata uses Flame Wheel again. Tackle knocks it out. *sigh of relief*

Athryl has grown to level 14! All behold our new all-star.

Battle over.

Okay. Heart attack avoided. ;_;

Obtain X Defend! More drugs. :/

Nice lady just gives me a Panpour. Alrighty then!

I'ma name it... Robert. For my favorite human.

Guess who we're training? :D

Water Gun Spam! Pew pew pew pew!

*In case you haven't noticed Aftae is no longer sad*

*doesn't let Robert fall below 20 health during training, heals constantly*

*obtains Flavored Water drink, continues training*

Listening to <this>. Rocking out hard.

Robert grows to level 11! Level 12! HE WANTS TO LEARN ACROBATICS.

110 base power Flying move... Holy... HELL YES. Forget Scratch, learn Acrobatics!

ROBERT ONE SHOTS ERRRYTHANG. HOLY HELL.

Tybalt quietly waits, his patience truly showing. He knows he'll be the top Pokemon later.

Robert hits level 13. Time to battle Chenren.

*bursts into the Trainer's School, struts his stuff, flashes his Pokeballs*

COME AT ME BRO.

Battle 10: Chenren

Tybalt vs. Starly!

NOPE.

Athryl enters, and takes a Wing Attack to the face. Does 12 out of 39 HP. Owwies.

Tackle, however, is overpowered and 2HKO's.

Chenren sends out Tepig! Athryl returns, and Robert takes an Ember like it's nothing.

Water G- ACROBATICS!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA DIIEEEEE

Battle over.

*still shouting and laughing maniacally*

HAHAHAHA DDIIEEE- Wait it's over.

Ooh, Cut! Guess who's getting a 60 base power Grass attack?

*approaches Tybalt and smacks with disk*

Tybalt knows Cut! Tybalt's most powerful attack has been Doubled in power!

*heals and heads to the cut tree on Route 2*

Tybalt. Eat the tree. Tree eaten.

Obtained Super Potion and Great Ball!

ATHRYL PICKED UP A HYPER POTION. ATTA GIRL!!!

*pauses in Dreamyard*

*resumes after fifteen minutes*

We get two catches in this area! Yay!
'
First result is...a female Venonat! Robert, don't you dare use Acrobatics.

Robert. ROBERT. NO. Okay, he uses Water Gun. It does little, but that's good. We need to weaken it. She spams confusion. We spam Water Gun.

Supersonic happens. Confusion doesn't work, thankfully. 24% health abouts, time for Pokeballs!

First Pokeball! Fails immediately.

Second Pokeball! Wigglewigglewiggle DAMMIT

Third Pokeball! Wigglewigglewiggle YAY

We caught a female Venonat! Lets name it... Sally! She likes Venomoth, right? Hope so.

Oh hey items.

Obtain Incinerate TM!

Obtain Pluck TM!

Obtain Smack Down TM!

Obtain Struggle Bug TM!

Lots of TM's here. Lets see who can learn what!

Sallys forgets Leech Life, and learns Struggle Bug!

Alright, second Pokemon!

Male Nidoran! YEEESSSSS!

Sally tanks a Peck from it like a boss! Critical Hits don't even trouble her.

Aw. She got a kiss. Prepare your shipping guys!

*Seperate Ways by Journey plays on Pandora*

First Pokeball succeeds! Naming our new Nidoran... Lokhan!

Everybody's decently injured, probably best to heal, and then we can train the newbies.

Enter Gym. Fresh Water get!

Oh great this puzzle. Easiest thing ever.

WAIT I FORGOT TO TRAIN FOR THIS

Battle 11: Waiter Maxwell

Tybalt vs Slowpoke! Lets do this!

Tybalt, show him your mastery of Cut! Two-hit-KO! Water Gun does next-to-nothing!

Tybalt reaches level 14!

Growlithe? Nope! Tybalt tactfully retreats, bringing in Robert!

Robert, use Wa-ACROBATICS!!!

Aw, he survived and used Roar.

Lokhan has entered! Prepare for your doom, Growlithe.

Double Kick finishes off the Growlithe.

Waiter sent out Budew! Easy Peck-ings! Get it? ._.

Peck dispatches of it easily.

Battle over.

That wasn't too bad. Decided not to train.

Battle 12: Waitress Forgot To Check Her Name Yet Again

Tybalt vs Hoppip! Type disadvantage, time to GTFO!~

Lokhan eagerly jumps in! PoisonPowder has no effect!

Lokhan gives it a little Peck, and she Tackles him back! They're both so adorable. :3

She uses Synthesis first, which means Prankster. I used Sweet Kiss. She's so flustered right now.

We go for Focus Energy, and she goes for Tail Whips!

The battle drags on, as my Pecks fail to her Synthesis. The Hoppip snaps out of confusion and continues Tail Whipping as Lokhan kisses her more.

She has yet to hit herself. Getting annoyed.

We break through, and Lokhan gives her a Peck as Hoppip faints. It was too adorable for her.

Lokhan grows to level 13 and attempts to learn Poison Sting! Nope!

Waitress sends out Slugma! So many Tail Whips leaves Nidoran too cute-ed out to defend herself. Time to switch!

In comes Robert! Ember does nothing! Robert uses Wa- ACROBA-- NO ROBERT USE WATER GUN.

Water Gun does tons of damage, while Rock Throw does little in return. Slugma faints!

Out comes Marill!

Okay Robert, do yo-- ACROBATICS!!!

Defense Curls do nothing to stop Robert's wrath.

Marill faints after two Acrobatics.

Robert reaches level 14!

Robert forgets Water Gun in favor of the superior Water pulse!

Battle over.

Gym leader waits behind the curtain. Lets not!

*leaves and trains Sally a level, to level 13*

*remembers re-battle trainers cheat, gets Sally to level faster with it*

Athryl manages to get to level 15! OP Lillipup is OP!

ATHRYL WANTS TO LEARN TAKE DOWN.

Athryl forgets Leer in favor of Take Down!

Sally reaches level 13! She learns PoisonPowder over Foresight!

It's time. You got my back Nitrogen?

Let's do this.

Gym Battle 1: Chili

Chili sends out Tepig, Charmander, AND Cyndaquil!

ROTATION BATTLE INTENSE TIME ACTIVATED

I send out Robert, Tybalt, and Athryl!

Game plan: Spam Water Pulse.

Chili rotates to Cyndaquil! Water Pulse OHKO!

Torchic is sent out!

Rotate to Charmander, and he uses Smokescreen!

Water Pulse hits, he is left with very little HP!

Chili used Potion, but it did not save him from the OHKO!

Tybalt grew to level 15!

Chili sent out Pansear! He used Nasty Plot! Oh god.

Water Pulse does about 65%! Sitrus Berry Activated!

Rotate to Tepig! It takes a Water Pulse with a sliver of health, and pulls off a Yawn!

Robert is weakened and drowsy, so I rotate to Athryl! Finishes the Tepig with a Tackle!

Chimchar is sent out! Damn Fake Out.

Pansear rotates in and Protects! Take Down does nothing!

Incinerate does a HELL of a LOT of damage! Athryl takes Take Down Recoil!

HEART ATTACK AS ATHRYL BARELY SURVIVES

GTFO PLEASE

Rotate to Robert again! Pansear still somehow alive!

Torchic barely survives Water Pulse, and Ember does nothing to Robert! Robert fell asleep! Full Heal used, Robert awakens!
Chimchar uses Assist, and Quick Attacks for pitiful damage!

Pansear rotates in, and does quite a bit with Incinerate! Water Pulse finishes it! Athryl grows to level 16!

Chimchar gets promptly OHKO'ed, and Torchic follows. Robert grows to level 15! Tybalt grows to level 16 and learns Leaf Tornado over Wrap!

Robert finishes the Torchic with an ACROBATICS!!!

The Gym Leader admits defeat, hands me my badge, and the battle is over.

Athryl is EVOLVING! :O

Athryl has evolved into a Herdier!

Trio Badge acquired.

Work Up TM Acquired!

I strut my way down the restaurant, and exit into the fresh air. A woman greets me and kidnaps me immediately.

*To be continued...*

Day Three

Lady just wants me to go to Dreamyard again. No surprise sexy times. Is dissapoint.

Lets go then!

Bianca, leave please. No? Fien.

Yep, that's a Munna.

Two Team Please-ma creeps pop out from behind a centimeter-thin wall. How... the...

Decided not to question it as they kick the poor thing. You done goofed, sir. You done goofed.

Battle 14: First of Countless Team Please-ma Grunts

Trubbish? Really? Well, Robert, it's time again...

AAAAAAAACROBAAAAAATTICS!

Just realized I forgot to heal. Poop.

Acid Spray does a bad thing. Gotta switch. Sally's time to shine!

She takes DoubleSlaps and is hardly phazed. Confusion finishes it as it lays a layer of Toxic Spikes.

Welp. Drowzee has type advantage. Out goes Tybalt! Is poisoned, bleargh.

Cut 2HKO's, and Sally grows to level 14!

Ekan's Intimidate increases Attack, but Tybalt is injured and Ekans is Poison. Bleargh.

Sally comes back into the fray, and conveniently absorbs the Toxic Spikes!

Poison sting does NOTHING to Sally. Glare paralyzes though.

Confusion spam wins out!

Tybalt grows to level 17 as the grunt GTFO's.

Battle over.

:O Guess who's evolving?

Tybalt has evolved into Servine! He wants to learn Twister! Tybalt is now a member of the Dragon Type!

Other Grunt wants to kick me while I'm injured. Poo.

Battle 15: Another Please-ma Grunt

Koffing vs injured Robert! Lead off with a Super Potion!

Koffing uses Tackle, doesn't do much.

Robert responds with ACRO- actually, Water Pulse hits harder. Lets do that instead.

Robert is very upset, but listens. Water Pulse does 55% and confuses, and the Koffing promptly punches himself in the groin.

Robert cannot resist the urge and AAACCROBATICS. Finishes him off.

Robert grows to level 16, and wants to learn Lick. No. Acrobatics. Why do you even want to learn Lick?

Welp, Cacnea has obvious type advantage. BUT.

AAACCCRRROOOBAATTTIIICCCSSS!

Hehehehehehehe...

Cacnea is OHKO'ed. Grimer next. MORE ACROBATICS.

Damn, he used Harden. Have to use Water Pu--- ACROBATICS AGAIN AAANNYYYWWAAAYYSSS.

Robert takes a Mud Slap, and accuracy debuffed. Grimer disables Acrobatics as the incoming Acrobatics misses.

Robert is REALLY pissed now. Water Pulse finishes it.

Battle over.

Get-This appears and tells them to bother off because they suck so bad. Victoryismine!

Musharna also appears behind paper-thin wall. I think there's a demon portal over there.

Pokeball is spawned out of midair. There's some Poltergeist stuff going on here.

BLAH BLAH BLAH PLEASE JUST LET ME GOOOOO

I'M FREEEEEEEE

The wall was not a demon portal. *leaves*

Let's not forget to heal this time around! *heals and buys*

Obtained 9 Super Potions and 2 Great Balls!

*attempts to go to new route*

DAMMIT FENNEL JUST LET ME GO PLEASE ;_;

More pointless key items!

Finally. I can go now.

Day Care? :O

I can beat up children and take their money! Wooooo!

Lets start with the nursery owner though.

Battle 16: Nursery Aide Autumn

Robert vs Togepi! Robert, you're getting awfully powerful.

I guess we're gonna- ACROBATICSSSSSSSS!

Can't give Robert a kiss when he's swinging around and smacking your face!

Togepi goes down swiftly! Next up, Munna.

ACROBATICS! Another 2HKO! ....

Actually, lets let someone else level. Sally has a super effective move, lets try that.

Struggle Bug finishes it as Munna yawns. Great.

Robert grows to level 17!

Natu comes out and promptly scares away Sally, and in comes Athryl!

Confusion does a hell of a lot of damage, with a critical hit, AND it confuses. Owwwww.

Full heal used, Confusion cured. Natu uses Lucky Chant!

It takes a Take Down to miss to realize I have Bite. Lets use that. It OHKO's. Yay!

She sends out Ralts!

Battle over.

I just quit. Not gonna fight it. Don't wanna.

Just kidding. Bite OHKO's.

Battle REALLY over.

Hey, nursery owner conveniently heals my team! Lets do this again!

*changes order of team, lets Lokhan lead*

Battle 17: Preschooler Doyle

Lokhan vs Squirtle! Lets do this!

First, you give em a Sweet Kiss.. Lokhan, ignore the male symbol please...

Now... KICK THEN IN THE FACE.

Eventually confusion and kicking fells the turtle. Lokhan was excellent that match, taking only 6 damage and the opponent was a level above him to boot.

Lokhan grows to level 14!

Oshawott is sent out!

Give em a kiss... Don't miss please, ignore the male symbol...

Okay, you misses your kiss again and he could OHKO you with a Water Gun critical hit, and he has Focus Energy. Tybalt time.

GET. WRECKED.

Battle over.

Next victim!

Battle 18: Preschooler Dammit I Missed The Name Again

Lokhan vs Totodile!

Lokhan, I know everyone's a male but I need you to kiss them.

Sweet Kiss lands, Totodile hits himself.

Time for Lokhan to kick em!

Lokhan finishes the little Croc with a Peck and it faints from confusion. Lokhan's quite the stud.

Lokhan grows to level 15!

Out comes Piplup!

It's another male. Lokhan... kisses...

I know you don't like kissing guys, Lokhan, but you gotta. Thank you.

*Lokhan starting to get rather infuriated*

Piplup proceeds to smack itself. Lokhan, time to kick em in the face again!

*Lokhan enjoys pummeling the penguin*

Brine OHKO's Lokhan.

*sits, stunned for a while*

I guess Lokhan didn't appreciate my tactics.

Sally enters, and finds Lokhan broken, and finishes the penguin.

Sally grows to level 15.

Battle over.

Sssiiiiiggggghhhhhhh. I should have known. Lokhan took a 110 base power STAB move, I should have expected it from a water type.

*slowly sulks to the PokeCenter*

I'm already getting a bit tired of these walks.

Sorry Lokhan, you never got to kiss Sally again.

*Sally peeks over as I attempt to release Lokhan*

*She looks back at me with confused, scared eyes*

I'm sorry Sally. He fought his best. He even did things I wouldn't have done.

He's in other hands now.

*Lokhan bleeps out of existense, and Sally weeps*

Maybe we can train Sally a a level before we go back.

*Sally grudgingly trains with me*

Y'know Sally... I have a catch I can use... do you want me to find another friend?

*Sally looks up, nods, but still seems distant*

Alright, here goes.

A Jigglypuff. Okay.

This female Jigglypuff will be... Amire. Welcome to the team.

*Sally seems to like the other ball-shaped Pokemon*

Sally grows to level 16. Time to train Amire a bit.

Amire has Metronome... hehehehehe...

*trains with Metronome shenanigans, ends up using the following moves:*

Swift
BLAST BURN
Stone Edge
Present
Wish
Fire Pledge
Pay Day
Earth Power
Steamroller
Tickle (yes please :3)
Magnet Rise
PSYCHO BOOST
Rapid Spin
Guillotine
Work Up
ROAR OF TIME
Bone Club
HYPER BEAM (Holy 150 base power STAB)
Sky Uppercut
Iron Defense
Mach Punch
Hail
Swagger
Etc...

*gets Amire to level 16*

*notes that Amire is super bulky, and has the ability Friend Guard, because she's just so sweet like that*

*heals one last time, and heads back to the daycare, watching the demon children eye him with bloodshot eyes*

Not today.

*saves and logs off*

Day Four

So where was I--

Oh. Demon children.

Alright Amire, lets do this.

Battle 19: Preschooler Tully

He starts off yelling "HYPER BEAM!" and I am now officially pissing myself.

Mudkip vs. Amire, lets see what Metronome can do!

Mudkip uses Yawn, and we use Captivate. Lets just switch, don't want to fall to sleepytimes.

In comes Sally, on a Growl! Woopdedoo!

We try Supersonic, it misses, and he uses Mud Slap. Great.

Just decided to spam Struggle Bug, and it works. He keeps Growling, and attempts a Water Gun but it does next to nothing.

And Mudkip dodges a Stergle Berg while Yawning. Back to Amire!

Amire got drowsy. Back to Sally!

Mudkip with the Yawn spam. Fine. Lets just defeat the thing.

Couldn't KO it, so it's still barely hanging on while I'm sleeping.

This is quickly becoming infuriating.

After fifteen turns, the Mudkip is finally down.

Out comes Shellos! Gotta switch because of ninteen Mud Slaps.

Out comes Amire! She takes a Water Pulse and a Mud Bomb, but soon uses Metronome!

Tail Slap! Hits five times, and OHKO's!

Psyduck enters! I'm at less-than-half health, so I'm just not gonna risk the Brine. Tybalt enters!

Tybalt wrecks the Psyduck like it's nothing.

Battle over.

Huh. That was actually the last of the demon children.

NOOOOOOOPE. Forgot the double battle outside the playground.

Battle 20: Twins Kumi and Amy

Two Nidoran vs Sally and Amire. We got this. Amire be using her strats.

Amire uses Metronome and Sally uses Confusion on the male one.

Confusion does 55% abouts, and Amire Metronome'd a Roost after taking Double Kick from both of them. Lets not.

Robert enters, and Sally uses Confusion on the male Nidoran!

I think we know what's coming.

Robert uses ACROBAAAAAAAATICS! and Sally uses Confusion, double teaming the remaining Nidoran! She is promptly destroyed.

Battle over.

No more children? Yes? Good!

Chenren tells me to stop. Sadly, he has mystical powers and thus is able to stop me. I can see the GRASS. I WANT MY CATCHES.

FML HE WANTS TO BATTLE NOT PREPARED

Battle 20: Chenren

Staravia vs Amire! We can tank it. Lets do this.

Metronome! It uses Teleport. I just took a Quick Attack for nothing. Good news, Amire can tank. She can stay in.

Amire waggles a Scary Face! Who's faster now?

Decide to use Super Potion, within Wing Attack KO range. Sure enough, Staravia used Wing Attack.

More Metronome! Horn Leech! You healed a little at least.

Amire is sadly not accomplishing much, so we have to switch. Athryl comes in. She tanks a Quick Attack handily!

Athryl uses Take Down and Staravia is WRECKED.

Amire grows to level 17 and learns Round! Better than Pound!

Amire forgets Pound for Round. Round pound. Round pound went down to town.

Roggenrola is sent out! I can't really do anything to this, but... I know Tybalt can!

A Magnitude 8 is handily tanked, and Leaf Tornado OHKO's! except sturdy. Dammit.

No worries, Tybalt dispatches of the rock while taking pitiful damage from Headbutt.

HOLY HELL HE ACTUALLY SWITCHED TO PANSAGE

Tybalt, this NPC actually has strategy. Lets be safe and switch to something a bit more capable of taking this.

Athryl comes back out!

Well whaduya know. Acrobatics.

I hate to be a party pooper here, but we all know who's the real acrobat.

Get this thing out of my sight. Tackle. Gone.

Roggenrola is sent out, so I let Robert come in and finish it, so I have an answer to incoming Tepig.

Athryl grows to level 18!

Tepig is sent out, and Defense Curls on my Water Pulse. Cute.

We go for another Water Pulse, and we tank a Flame Charge. Tepig somehow not dead yet.

But y'know what can finish this?

Hehehehehehehehe.

Myeh, water pulse.

Battle over.

And thus we avoid losing, one more time. :D

Team Please-ma goons, Bianca, stolen Pokemon. Got it.

However, there is grass here. And an item!

Aaaaaand a female Sunkern appears! Er...

I don't think we'll ever use this, so...

We Sing it to sleep, and throw some Pokeyballs.

After two tries, we catch the little sprout. I guess someone has to be named after it unfortunately.

A few minutes later, I decide on Morgan. Welcome to the box.

Aaaaaaand two steps later we find a female Taillow!

Catchery catch. We has a bird!

Bird is now called Luna.

Super Potion get!

Heading back to deposit the Sunkern and get Luna.

Luna added to the team!

Pokemon caught, time for plot! Lets see what Chenren wants. There is a cave.

New cave. Two more catches? Screw the plot, I'm just gonna catch more. *walks up and down three tiles*

Female Woobat appears! Attracting all the ladies, it seems...

After six Sings one finally lands. First Pokeball lands. We have a Woobat! Ashna it is.

Second catch is the other half of the bat duo, Zubat! Alrighty then! More flying types!

It's another female.

Zubat get! Running out of female characters!

Her name is Jade.

After the catches I head back to the Pokecenter, and I have some options to choose from.

I decide to exchange Amire for Zubat, because of excess amount of Normal types. I'll grab Amire later for multi battles, since her ability is so useful.

Plot time. Probably.

Except Luna is level 13. Lets fix that.

Luna has been raised to level 17, along with Sally and Jade.

Aaaaand suddenly someone appears and takes me away for Cuddling! Nooooooo!

Day Five

Everyone's level 17. We can continue with plot!

Enter cave, say hai to team please-ma jerks, and battle ensues! Chenren decides not to help because I just killed his entire team!

Battle 21: Grunt

Tybalt vs Gulpin! This is a terrible position!

Robert switches in, and gets drowsy thanks to Yawn. Greeeaaaatttt.

Robert switches to Jade! Pound does pitiful damage.

Wing Attack nearly OHKO's Gulpin with a critical hit, and Jade has been Yawn'ed. Switch to Robert! Sludge does decent damage. We finish with Acrobatics!

Numel is switched in. 4x weakness to water. Huh.

Don't know what he expected, Numel got destroyed.

Robert grows to level 18 and tries to learn Tickle! Eeerrrrr.

For the sake of my love for Tickles, Robert forgets Leer and learns Tickle!

Houndoor is sent out and also gets promptly destroyed.

Battle over.

Aaaaaaaand more Grunts appear. Yay. They always come in groups of two.

Battle 22: Yet Another of the Endless Supply of Assembled Grunts

Oh this is a Double Battle. And Chenren joins. I get a free body bag!

Tybalt and Staravia vs Voltorb and Zubat! Tybalt switches in fear of Zubat, and Athryl jumps into the fray!

Athryl takes a Leech Life and a Tackle with minimal damage. She returns with a Tackle on Voltorb.

Zubat takes a Wing Attack and faints. Tybalt grows to level 18!

Poochyena is sent out!

Athryl finishes Voltorb with a Tackle, and is hurt heavily by Aftermath! She also takes a Bite from Poochyena, so she's heavily injured. I decide to use a Super Potion this turn.

Staravia gets a critical hit on Poochyena and it goes down. Carvanha is joined by a Tentacool.

Staravia falls to a Bite from Carvanha, and Athryl finishes the piranha with a Take Down. Tentacool uses Acid, and I choose to switch out. Pawniard replaces Carvanha.

I notice I have nothing to defeat a Pawniard, so I sent out Jade just to be safe.

Tentacool uses Acid again, hitting neither of us effectively, and it lowers Jade's special defense. We decide to stay in because they don't have much to hit us with. I start wearing down the Pawniard, and use Supersonic.

Supersonic lands, Tentacool uses Toxic Spikes, Roggenrola uses Magintude 5 and gets a critical hit on both of them, and Pawniard hits itself. Pawniard at half health is all that's left.

Wing Attack does little, but Pawniard can't do much with Fury Cutter and Magnitude is super effective. One last turn and it goes down.

Battle over.

They smoke bomb out of there and Chenren says something akin to "YOU HAVE TO BELIIIIEEEEVVVVVEEEEE" and leaves.

Oooh, items.

Obtained TM46, Thief!

We leave into the sunshine. *hissssss*

There's an item in the bushes but a trainer blocks the way.

*is ninja and sneaks around the breeder*

Obtained Repel!

Girls thank us for helping with a Fishing Rod! That means...

I can fish two Pokemon in Striaton City!

*fishing*

Aaaaaand a Psyduck appears. It has Cloud Nine! It's also yet ANOTHER female! running out of characters.

Luna smacks it around a bit before letting me use my newfangled Dive Balls. First try succeeds!

Lets name it after... Serena. Why not.

We fish up a Slowpoke!

...

... ... ...

Slowpoke has Drizzle.

Holy. Crap.

We decide to whittle it down with Luna's Quick Attack, but after a Growl it doesn't do enough. We switch to Sally.

We use PoisonPowder to weaken it and make it easier to catch. We start throwing Dive Balls. First ball success!

Now... we have to name it. It's actually a male this time.

Dayter gets the honor. Welcome to the team, you OP as hell Slowpoke.

Luna is deposited and Dayter is withdrawn.

Lets see what he can do.

After a few Taillow, we learn that he is not the most potent of attackers but he's an amazing tank. Decide to keep him in. He'll just make Robert that much more OP.

Dayter is trained to 17 and we continue!

.... next time.

Day Six

Aaaaaaand on we go!

Aaaaaaand immediately we're stopped and challenged to a battle. Okay. Starting off early.

Battle 23: School Kid Al

Dayter vs Blitzle!

We're not scared! We won't back down!

...

Alright, scared, Dayter's first battle needs to not be immediately bad. o_o

We switch to Sally to tank whatever he throws. Thunder wave. Bleargh...

We try Signal Beam, but Sally is fully paralyzed. Blitzle charges up.

Eeerrrrrr... Double Kick. Okay. That 2 damage. Signal Beam does a lot more than 2 damage though.

Okay, after spamming a few Double Kick the zebra goes for Shock Wave. Didn't do enough to scare me though.

It does if I keep getting fully paralyzed...

Alright, lets just heal for a sec. Super Potion used.

After way too many paralyzes, we finally break through.

Mareep we can handle, so we keep spamming Signal Beam.

We get to a scary 9 HP, before Signal Beam breaks through Mareep. Flaaffy is sent out. We switch to Tybalt.

Thunder Wave paralyzes, but Cut hits, and after a Growl we laugh and finish it off.

Battle over.

*run back to heal*

Moving on!

"Aftae! Stop!"

"Lemme tell you about this grass that lets you choose from two Pokemon before using your catches! Too bad you went and caught two from this route already!"

D:<

"K bai."

Jerk.

Oh hey an item!

Obtained Antidote!

WAIT WE COULDA HAD A SHINX ERMAGERD

I'm coming back here to get a Shinx.

We try to run away but fail, Dayter got Leer'd.

Fail again. Shinx uses Charge.

He's trying to annihilate my Dayter! No! Tybalt save us!

Spark woulda killed him, but Tybalt takes it. :D

We finally escape.

Aaaaand another girl we can beat up and take money from!

Battle 24: School Kid Marsha

Dayter vs Phanpy! Too easy!

Dayter OHKO's with Water Gun! Teddiursa is sent out. We keep spamming Water Gun.

Teddiursa has Faint Attack, but it doesn't even do 40%, so we tank it easily.

However, Dayter can't keep this up so we switch, to Robert.

For some reason Teddiursa used Lick, and Robert takes little from it.

Rain boosted Water Pulse GOOOOO! Get wrecked!

*Dayter and Robert high-five*

Dayter grows to level 18! Whismur is sent out.

Water Pulse immediately OHKO's, not even a critical hit. We have a new, better nuke.

Robert grows to level 19! Woobat is sent out.

The bat /barely/ survives and uses Gust, which does next to nothing.

We finish with Acrobatics.

Battle over.

We wander into the tall grass to look for items. Wild battle ensues, and Dayter and Jade lead against Blitzle and Growlithe. We try to escape, but fail.

Blitzle uses Shock Wave on Dayter.

It hits.

Critical hit.

Dayter faints.

Athryl is sent out.

We escape.

Did... did our nuke just get assassinated?

We head to the Pokecenter...

*sigh*

The stars aligned to take you away. We saw what you could do. We saw how overpowered you made our nuke become.

It was short lived, but alas...

I was not meant to train you.

*Robert nods, and we release Dayter, and we shed a tear for the wasted opportunities...*

So be it.

We withdraw Ashna and leave.

Ashna's under leveled, so lets fix that.

We go through our TM's, and teach Jade Pluck over Astonish.

Ashna learns Heart Stamp over Odor Sleuth.

Alright, we're done training. Ashna's level 17, lets press forward.

Battle 25: School Kid Gina

Ashna vs Wooper! Lets see what she can do.

Confusion does over 50%. Acid Spray does 4 damage. We got this.

Wooper down, in comes Taillow.

We use Confusion, and Taillow gets a Focus Energy in. Scared.

Confusion does over 50% again.

Ashna tanks a Quick Attack and finishes it off.

In comes Lotad, and we use Gust. She uses Leech Seed.

Press forward, KO with Gust.

Seedot comes in, and with Leech Seed active I decide to switch to Sally. For some reason Seedot knows Quick Attack.

We use Signal Beam for the OHKO. Sally grows to level 19!

Battle over.

Okay, we got this. We can continue forwards.

We got this.

Obtained Awakening!

Another battle, I can see the end of the route. Just one more.

Battle 26: School Kid Edgar

Ashna vs Shinx! Nope! Nope nope nope.

We switch to Tybalt, who isn't fazed by a Spark. We use Cut and quickly dispatch of it.

Ashna grows to level 18! Out comes Nuzleaf. We can't really hurt this, so we switch to Jade.

Nuzleaf decides to spam Growth as I 2HKO with Wing Attack. Okies.

Jade grows to level 18, and learns Hypnosis over Supersonic.

Out comes Luxio, and I promptly get my sorry Jade out of there for Tybalt.

I tabbed out for a sec and didn't see what Tybalt just took that dropped him to 27 health. I decide to pay attention and heal up using a Super Potion.

He uses Spark, okay. Weird. Oh well, Cut time.

Double Kick does little as Cut 2hko's.

Lombre comes out, and I switch for Jade again.

Wing Attack prevails as Water Gun does not very much damage.

Battle over.

Aaaaaaaaand we made it to Nacrene City! Lets look for fishing spots.

Nope a wild Chenren appears. "Come here" he says. We won't battle, he says. Lying bastard.

Oh, he just gives he a ton of Sun Stones and leaves. Ooooookay.

Heals and buys!

Obtained 5 Super Potions and 2 Great Balls.

And time to explore people's houses without knocking!

Girl wants to trade her Ponyta for my Shroomish. Pfffft no. Why would I do that.

Another girl gives me a Miracle Seed. Tybalt's just gonna be that much more OP then I guess. :D

Found a hidden Revive. Free money I guess.

I found a drug dealer, selling X Speed and Guard Spec and the like. Avoid the drugs!

Found a hidden Super Potion.

I can go to Pinwheel Forest or the gym. I don't know which is the better option.

I decide to peek at the gym and see what levels the trainers are.

NOPE

NITROGEN SAYS HI

PLEASE NO

Battle 27: Nitrogen
OH GOD ITS A DOUBLE BATTLE TOO?!?

Drilbur and Bronzor vs Ashna and Sally.

I switch Ashna for Robert and hope he can tank a hit. I expect them to team on Sally though, so I let her tank. Sally uses Signal Beam on the Bronzor.

Drilbur used Fury Swipes on Robert, and Bronzor uses Rollout. They don't do much but Rollout scares me... Signal Beam did next to nothing to Bronzor. I double team the Bronzor with Water Pulse and Signal Beam.

Drilbur used Dig. Bronzor is heavily injured. I don't know the intended target, so I use Water Pulse on the Bronzor and I let Sally heal Robert just in case.

Dig hits Sally. Good god it HURT. Rollout still does next to nothing though.

I use Water Pulse on Drilbur and switch Sally out to Jade.

Drilbur uses Dig, and Water Pulse misses. I use the X Defend I have on Robert with Jade's turn, and use Water Pulse on the incoming Drilbur.

Robert survives with 17 HP and dodges the Rollout, hitting and confusing the Drilbur! Success!

I use Water Pulse on the Bronzor, and use Jade's turn to heal again. Drilbur uses Dig and aims for Robert presumably. Bronzor goes down and Vulpix comes in, with Drought.

If only I still had Dayter. He was built for this moment.

I fear a grass type attack from Vulpix, and a dig from Drilbur. I switch in Ashna to tank both of those, with Jade finally attacking with Wing Attack.

Flame Burst from Vulpix hits hard... and nearly wrecks Jade. I have to switch her out. Both of the opponents are injured.

I switch in Robert to tank a Flame Burst and whatever Drilbur decides to do. I use Confusion on the Drilbur.

Drilbur uses Metal Claw. Does little damage. Confusion defeats the Drilbur, and Vulpix Flame Burst still does tons of damage with a critical hit. Tympole enters.

I use Ashna to heal up Robert and Robert goes for Acrobatics on the Vulpix.

Robert fails to oustpeed. Flame Burst hits Ashna hard, down to 8 HP, and Bubblebeam from Tympole finishes her, if only barely. Robert KO's with Acrobatics.

I sent in the knight Tybalt to defeat the Tympole. Zorua is sent out.

Tybalt uses Cut on the Tympole, and Robert uses Acrobatics on the Zorua. Cut nearly KO's, Acrobatics does over 50%, Tympole's Supersonic misses and Zorua uses Pursuit on Robert.

We decide to repeat, KO'ing both.

Tybalt grows to level 20, and learns Leech Seed over Tackle.

Robert grows to level 20, and learns Scald over Water Pulse.

Battle over.

Gaaaaahhhhhh. Eeennnnggghhhhh. Shut up about your Reshiram, I'm busy tending to my dead over here. ;_;

*I hold Ashna tightly as I carry her to the Pokecenter*

You let the rest of us live through that. You pulled through for us, but we failed for you.

We're all sorry.

*Robert nods his head in agreement, looking solemn*

*We release Ashna, heal, and retrieve Luna*

I know we're not ready for that place. Not nearly ready enough.

Lets go to Pinwheel Forest and train there tomorrow.

For now we're done. Let's forget about Ashna for now.

*saves and logs off*

Day Seven

Got the team to level 19, with Robert and Tybalt at 20. Time to push on! We have Athryl at the lead, ready to take on anything.

First steps in Pinwheel Forest. Doesn't look too much like a forest.

Someone immediately hands me TM94, Rock Smash. Okay. Super effective move against the gym, I guess.

So I head into the actual forest to find an armada of Team Pleasema grunts blocking the way. So I only get one trainer to train on? *sigh*

Alright, lets do this.

Battle 28: Nurse Sherry

Athryl vs Happiny. Easy peasy.

Take Down OHKO's. Athryl grows to level 20! Tries to learn Work Up, but I don't want it.

Audino comes out, and I switch to Jade. Doubleslap misses. Seeing as I'm gonna get a ton of EXP from this, I decide to just switch everyone in and share the EXP.

Luna comes in and gets slapped. Hard. Five times, does well over 50%. Jeeeez.

Sally, however, takes very little from a two slap DoubleSlap.

Tybalt also takes very little. Robert's last up! He just dodges the attack.

Scald doesn't do too much unsurprisingly, but Attract sure does. I thought he was better than this.

Dammit Robert, you can't even. Tybalt's gonna do it I guess.

Tybalt, also, gets Attract'ed. Why are all the guys in my runs all so susceptible to this?

Damn it Tybalt, use the Cut please. Stop getting slapped.

Well, we can't do that now, Tybalt's too injured.

In comes Athryl to finally finish this. She uses Tackle as the Audino Encore's it, and Audino if FINALLY down.

Athryl grows to level 21, and everyone else gets tons of EXP.

Battle over.

She heals my Pokemon after the battle. How nice! :D

Hm.... there is tall grass. I could... but not now. I want some Pokemon from inside the forest.

I decide to use a Repel through the grass and look around. There are more children... great.

Battle 29: Preschooler [insert name here]

Athryl vs Pansage! We got this. Take Down.

Pansage avoids it and uses Lick. Immune to ghost, good going buddy.

We try again, except I click Helping Hand like a derp. Acrobatics does little damage.

Okay, this time I ACTUALLY use Take Down. OHKO, decent recoil.

Pansear is sent out, and out comes Robert to react.

Pansear does Yawn and makes Robert drowsy on the switch. Gah. Out comes Jade then, I guess.

Pansear does Flame Burst which does pretty decent damage.

We go for Wing Attack, which hits decently but the Pansear's Acrobatics does more. Gotta switch. In comes Robert again.

He takes the Flame Burst easily. Scald finishes him. Panpour is sent out. Acrobatics time.

Opposing Panpour does Tickle, but it affects nothing as Acrobatics 2HKO's anyways. Robert grows to level 21!

Battle over.

I heal and go fight this other preschooler.

Battle 30: Preschooler Homer

Athryl vs Roggenrola! Aaaaaaand we switch out. Tybalt comes in.

Tybalt, of course, dodges a Rock Blast. He uses Leaf Tornado, and activates Sturdy.

Errr... Mud Slap isn't the best of ideas. Accuracy raised, and only 1HP of damage. We finish with Twister because why not.

Tybalt grows to level 21, and Aron is switched in. Tybalt stays in and uses Leaf Tornado. Aron's headbutt does pitiful damage as Leaf Tornado hits for a 2HKO.

Geodude is sent out. Huehue. Cut time. More Sturdy, goddamnit.

Rock Throw does very little, and we finish with another Twister because why not. Tybalt grows to level 22!

Battle over.

Obtain TM43, Flame Charge!

Nobody can learn it. Bleargh.

We go south more and we find a Youngster. He wants a piece of this.

Battle 31: Youngster Keita

Sally vs Spinarak. We decide to switch to Jade for flying type advantage. Zubat master race.

Bug Bite does pitiful damage, and Jade OHKO's with Wing Attack.

Jade grows to level 20! Charmander is sent out, so we keep with the Wing Attack.

Wing attack does more than 60%, rendering the Growl useless. We finish with another Wing Attack.

Doduo is sent out, and I decide to switch for Luna.

Well, nevermind that, Luna takes a TON from a Quick Attack of all things. We bring Jade back in.

Jade dodges a Fury Attack on the switch. We go for Wing Attack next turn.

Noted, Jade also takes a lot from Quick Attack. We should switch to something safe.

In comes Robert, who takes Growl with minimal damage. 0 damage to be exact. We have Scald though, so we care little. It finishes it.

Battle over.

Youngster down, and Repel wears off. Bleargh.

Oh. Oops. Didn't mean to go into the dark grass, but I guess we're catching something now. Sally and Jade vs Burmy and Doduo. Sally GTFO's and Jade defeats the Burmy easily. Athryl takes Jade's place.

Wing Attack does indeed defeat the Burmy, but Jade gets really low HP from Quick Attack. I use Athryl's turn to heal while Jade uses Pluck on Doduo.

Pluck does a lot more damage than I thought, over 50%. Quick Attack does little to Athryl, and we start throwing Pokeballs.

First Great Ball succeeds! Now to name her.

We go with Leiha, because I like that one.

Okay, now to see if I have any other repels... We have one. Les find some stuffs!

I see stairs but a youngster blocks the way. Sneaky time activated!

Sneaking success! I see item to the north, and a karate man circling around.

We almost run into a karate girl but we successfully avoid her too. Like a f'in NINJA.

It was a net ball. Great.

Repel runs out as soon as I enter the final bush to leave this place. No wild Pokemon, no wild Pokemon... only two more tiles...

Success! No battles! Lets ditch this place.

Obtained Ether!

In the Pokecenter, I stand Luna and Leiha together and compare em.

For now, Luna is better, but the two are very, very similar in stats.

We buy 5 Super Potions and 3 Repels, heal up, and stand anxiously outside the gym.

Lets hope I don't meet anyone else super dangerous inside before the gym leader.

Meet this Hawes guy and he shows me around the museum. I don't even care. Please go away.

So it seems that the gyms in Unova don't have too much funding. They're always included inside some other building.

I step in and look around. After the guy hands me my Fresh Water of course.

So the puzzle is, I have to read books for answers. Just like school, great.

Aaaaaand first battle. Lets do this.

Battle 32: School Kid Carter

He sends out Aipom against my Sally. We got this. Signal Beam Spam goooooo!

Aipom's Astonish does quite a lot compared to my Signal Beam. I decide to go for Supersonic, which lands. More Astonish.

Next step, PoisonPowder. Or Confusion, because I'm a misclicking derp. More Astonish.

This time I actually use PoisonPowder, but I was critical hit and flinched. Switch times.

I just realized I never brought Luna back out from the PC. I should fix that soon.

Out comes Jade. She takes an Astonish as the Aipom breaks out of confusion.

Fury Swipes does way too much to Jade, and Wing Attack barely fails to finish it off. We switch to Tybalt to take care of it.

Noted, Tybalt tanked the Fury Swipes easily. Tybalt, why you so goooood?

Aaaaand Tybalt is faster, finishing with Twister.

Snubbull is sent out, and I don't know why, so I switch to Athryl just in case.

Snubbull used Bite, so I am led to believe he has no super effective moves against grass. Noted.

Athryl uses Take Down, and misses, and gets hit with a Charm. Totally useless now.

And back to Tybalt we go! Cut spam! Snubbull takes over 50% from Cut but his Lick paralyzes Tybalt.

Tybalt is flinched.

Tybalt breaks the paraflinch and defeats the Snubbull.

Out comes Lickitung, and that is scary. Back to Athryl we go!

On my switch, Lickitung uses Defense Curl. Oh noes.

We go for Take Down, which does almost exactly 50%, and Supersonic misses Athryl. We go for another Take Down.

Lickitung barely survives and Wraps Athryl. We finish with a Tackle. Last opponent is a Minccino, so we do Tackle just to be safe.

Doubleslap does a ton of damage with 5 hits, so this is probably a Technician user. I switch to Robert for safety. He takes a decent amount from DoubleSlap but not enough to scare him out. We go for Scald, which finishes it.

Battle over.

Welp! We need to heal before we go on.

Okay, we got our Luna back. I will NOT forget like a derp!

I decide to train everyone to level 21+ before going in again. It's scary in there.

Done training, let's do this. Sally in the lead.

First step in puzzle, find book called "Nice to Meet You, Pokemon." Book found.

Question says "What is the first Pokemon you found in the gym?" Good thing I keep a log of this. Should be Aipom.

Apparently no. Answer is Patrat. eeerrrrrr....

Anyways, next question is: "Flame burns inside body blah blah smoke from head blah blah."

Hint is: You're gonna have to kick someone's ass to find the book. Obligatory trainer battles yay?

Found said person. Prepare your anus ma'am.

Battle 33: Scientist Satomi

Sally vs... Ditto. Has Imposter.

Hehehe. We got this.

Scientist uses X Defend, because drugs, and I go for Confusion. It does about 40%, so we're going good.

Next turn, we do the same, and the opponent has about 25% left. Confusion does about half of what I did, so we're set.

One more Confusion and Ditto's out. Out comes Smeargle.

Four moves. They can be anything. To be safe, I switch to Athryl.

Smeargle used Hypnosis, which lands. I use an Awakening, and Smeargle uses Aeroblast. Despite belonging to a super powerful Legendary, the move does next to nothing.

Take Down, however, OHKO's. Sally grows to level 22!

Out comes Porygon, and we keep with the Take Down. Does tons of damage, but Psybeam did confuse. We switch out to Luna.

Luna takes waaaayyy too much from a Tackle, but we stay and use Wing Attack. Porygon faints.

Athryl grows to level 23!

Out comes Castform, but we don't know what it does yet. I switch to Jade.

Said Castform uses Powder Snow. Jade takes 20/50 HP and is frozen. Welp.

To Sally it is then!

Actually...

Robert's actually been falling behind. I should remedy this. In comes Robert.

Water Gun. Pfft. Robert laughs at your puny attacks. We go for Scald.

Castform is faster, can take a Scald, and does a lot with Weather Ball, despite being type-less. Eehhhhh...

I go to Tybalt despite the potential Powder Snow.

Noted, Castform knows Ember. Super effective but it does only about 14/55 HP, so we're good.

Cut time! 2HKO, and Powder Snow does 14 HP as well.

Luna grows to level 22, and wants to learn Steel Wing. We forget Focus Energy for it.

Battle over.

:O

Luna is evolving!

Luna has evolved into Swellow! Whadduya know, I was just about to deposit her.

LUNA WANTS TO LEARN EXTREMESPEED. HOLY SHET.

Forgot Quick Attack nonsense, we have the BEST MOVE EVER.

After fumbling around a bit and nearly forgetting Extremespeed, we replace Quick Attack with it.

After the lady moves out of the way, we look at the question: "If you heat it up in a pot, it will be delicious. What is it?"

Noted, lets go heal and admire our bird.

Luna now has an Attack stat of 45, three less than Athryl, an 80 Base Power STAB Extremespeed, a speed stat of 61, compared to Tybalt's speed of 47. Defense and Special Defense are slightly lacking, but her HP is 68, same as Athryl's.

Luna will be AMAZING for this part of the game. And probably even longer too.

Noted, she also has Scrappy. Because screw Ghost types.

Okay, we heal, lets go back to the gym. We put Robert in the 1 slot and Jade in 2.

We find the answer for the previous question. The new question is: "Go fight that trainer that is blocking the only book left available to you."

(Note these aren't the actual questions that appear :p)

We find said trainer.

Battle 34: School Kid Lydia

Robert vs Buneary! We got this.

Quick attack does little to Robert, while Scald does over 50%. We go for another Scald and she goes down.

Robert grows to level 22, and tries to learn Torment. We could actually use this, so we replace Tickle with Torment. Except now I don't have a...

Nope! Bye bye Hone Claws, we still want tickles. Torment instead!

Jigglypuff is sent out, so we continue Scalding. Critical hit, and OHKO. Didn't even get to know what she would do. Fine by me~

Delcatty is sent out. That is very scary.

Robert is withdrawn, and out comes Tybalt. He takes a Fake Out easily.

We *try* to go for the long haul and Leech Seed, but it misses and we get Attracted. Great.

I switch to Sally so the silly Attract shenanigans stop.

Sally takes three DoubleSlaps, with 43/61 HP. We can stay in and do some things.

DoubleSlap does another 10 damage, and Signal Beam does about 75% with a critical. One more time.

We dodge a sing, and Signal Beam OHKO's. Robert and Tybalt both grow to level 23!

Out comes Clefairy. I'm confident, so we stay and continue Signal Beaming.

OH GOD WHY NO STOP CLEFAIRY

Double Slap hits five times. Two critical hits. Sally is at 1 HP. ONE HEALTH. GGAAAAAHHHHH

Sally gets the holy hell OUT of there, and Tybalt comes in to take the hit.

Clefairy uses Defense Curl, and woop-de-doo. We have special and physical moves for a reason! Leaf Tornado times! It OHKO's.

Battle over.

This is it. That's the last trainer. Gym leader time.

She tells us to read the book, but we don't, and we run like a sissy girl to the Pokecenter.

Because of OCD, we decide to train Jade to level 22 before we attempt this thing.

Oh! Jade evolves at level 22! Golbat GET!

Jade wants to learn Roost! I like.

We forget Pluck for Roost.

Gym leader time. We have prepared the following:

  • Tybalt is number 1 slot, and Athryl is number 2 in case of double battles. In case of triples, I have Robert in 3.
  • Bought two X Defend and two X Special Defend, just in case.
We are prepared. We would use Rock Smash, but anybody that can use it has far superior STAB moves.

Gym Battle 2: Lenora

Tybalt and Athryl vs. Herdier and Stantler. Both have Intimidate.

Tybalt... is already at +2 Attack. Athryl is at -2 though. We go for a cut on Stantler, and we switch Athryl for ... Jade.

Cut nearly OHKO's the Stantler, but Jade gets riddled with two Retaliates. I'm thinking to use Cut on the Herdier and Wing Attack on the Stantler, but I realize that with so much Retaliate, I need to be really careful with how I go about this.

I go the safe route, and I use Super Potion on Jade while she confuses the Herdier.

Lenora uses a Super Potion on her Stantler, while the Herdier Bites Jade, and a critical hit.

I group up on the Stantler, with Cut and Wing Attack. Stantler is down, and Herdier wasted a turn using Helping Hand. Furret is sent out.

Tybalt goes for the Cut on Furret, while Jade uses Confuse Ray on the Stantler, again.

Herdier uses Helping Hand again. Confuse Ray hits. Cut does about 75%. Furret uses Retaliate.

The Furret targets Tybalt.

Ow.

Ow...

OW...

Tybalt takes the hit with 17/61 HP. Sigh of relief. Tybalt, once again, tanking like a boss. We're in this now. Tybalt takes a Super Potion while Herdier gets a Confuse Ray to the face.

Herdier was already confused. I'm a dumbass. Jade takes a Thunderbolt, but it doesn't hurt too badly. Tybalt takes a Retaliate to the face, but it doesn't hurt near as bad.

Tybalt uses Cut on the Furret, and Jade uses Roost. Furret is down Herdier uses Retaliate (no confuse, what the hell), Bouffalant is sent out. That is the scariest thing I've seen yet, holy crap. I don't know what to do.

I check my Pokemon's stats. Athryl has the highest defense available, and Jade has the exact same. I switch Tybalt for Athryl and Jade gets an X Defend.

Bouffalant uses Retaliate on Jade. She survives with 21/68 HP, and she gets Charm'ed by the Herdier. Jade is now going full support, with Athryl as offense.

Athryl's turn is used healing Jade, and Jade uses Confuse Ray on the Herdier.

Herdier uses Helping Hand, and is confused by the ray. Bouffalant uses Rock Tomb on Jade, but it doesn't do too much (Now at 42/68 HP). Her speed has been lowered. We're making progress...

Athryl uses Tackle on the Bouffalant. It does very little. Jade uses Confuse Ray on the Bouffalant, and Herdier hits itself. Bouffalant fails to hit itself, and uses Revenge. On Athryl.

No. NO. NOOOOOO.

Athryl gets to yellow. Red. It stops at 2 HP. O_O

Athryl proceeds to scamper her butt out of there, and Robert takes her place. Jade uses a Super Potion on Tybalt.

Herdier hits himself, and Bouffalant uses Revenge and takes 20 HP off of Robert. Robert can't stay in... or can he?

No. Not risking it. Tybalt comes in and takes Robert's place.

Wait.

Robert looks at me, telling me with his eyes, I can do this. I got Scald. Burn chance! I can neuter them if I'm just a tad bit lucky! All I need is some defense, and I'll pull through!

But this plan is crazy. We only have one more X Defend, and even then he's not that bulky. Scald is only 30%. But you know what. Screw logic. We're doing this. Robert uses Scald on Bouffalant and Jade uses X Defend on Robert.

Herdier attempts to use Helping Hand, but hits himself again. Scald hits Bouffalant, but doesn't burn and doesn't hurt as much as I'd like. Bouffant uses Rock Tomb on Jade again, but that's fine. I use a Super Potion on Jade's turn on herself, and Robert uses Scald on Bouffalant again.

Jade is healed. Bouffalant uses Retaliate on Robert. Robert goes to 12 HP, and is probably going to be teamed on. But...

Herdier is confused...

It hit itself in its confusion! Yes! Robert lives to see the light one more turn!

Scald hits Bouffalant, and it doesn't burn, again. Sitrus Berry activated, and Bouffalant is still at 50%.

We continue out barrage, with Robert's Scalds and Jade healing Robert. Both are now at full health.

Bouffalant and Herdier are both at 25% abouts, now, and Jade takes another Rock Tomb. Robert takes a Retaliate from Herdier, who just snapped out of confusion. Robert goes for Scald again, and Jade goes to confuse Herdier again.

Herdier uses Helping Hand. Bouffalant goes for Rock Tomb on Jade again, bringing her to 22/68 HP. Robert Scalds the Bouffalant, and burns it. It faints at the end of the turn. Herdier has been successfully confused. Tybalt grows to level 24, and wants to learn Zen Headbutt!

We realize that we're never gonna use Leech Seed seriously, so I forget it and replace it with Zen Headbutt!

Bibarel is sent out. Bouffalant was the strongest, at level 20 when the rest were at 18. Our biggest challenge is over, but we're far from done. She still has one last Pokemon in the wings. We go for Defense, and simply heal both our Pokemon with Super Potions and pray.

Yes! Bibarel uses Retaliate on Robert, who survives with 22/59 HP. Herdier hits itself! We got this!

Robert has done his part. His crazy, stupid plan worked. Tybalt's time to help finish this. Jade still stays in, still tanking and being awesome. Jade uses Confuse Ray on Bibarel.

Tybalt comes in. Jade takes a Retaliate, which does about 9 damage. Herdier hits itself, and faints, and Confuse Ray hits Bibarel. Moody activates on Bibarel, sharply raising Defense while lowering evasion. Watchog is sent out. Final two.

Tybalt uses Leaf Tornado on Bibarel, and Jade uses Confuse Ray on Watchog.

Leaf Tornado lands, severly injuring Bibarel. Watchog uses Retaliate, and brings Tybalt to 21 HP. Bibarel hits itself in confusion, and therefore saves Tybalt's life. Confuse Ray lands. Moody raises Evasion sharply, and lowers Attack.

Tybalt uses Leaf Tornado on Watchog, and Jade heals Tybalt.

Potion is successful. Tybalt uses Leaf Tornado, dealing about 25% damage to Watchog. Watchog uses Retaliate on Tybalt. Doesn't do enough damage to mean anything now. Bibarel hit itself again. Moody sharply raises Attack, while lowering accuracy. That needs to stop.

Tybalt uses Leaf Tornado on Bibarel, and Jade heals Tybalt just in case.

Bibarel goes down. Watchog snaps out of confusion and uses Hypnosis.

Tybalt is asleep, so I switch him out to Luna. Jade uses Confuse Ray again. We can do this! Just the last Pokemon, and we're done!

Retaliate hits Jade, hard. Back to 26 HP again, and Luna is luckily unscathed. We go for Extremespeed, and Jade heals with a Super Potion.

Extremespeed does plenty of damage, and the Watchog's Sitrus Berry activates. Jade heals, and we've got this game set in stone. Extremespeed and Wing Attack.

Watchog... is down. We... won. We won! Yes!

The Gym Leader admits defeat, hands me my badge, and the battle is over.

GAAAHHHH. No deaths! None! We all survived!

WOOOOOOOOOOO!

BASIC BADGE GET!

Obtained TM 67, Retaliate!

Lemme go pleeeaaasssseeeee. I need to not die.

Yes, go let your husband distract you while I heal.

No? I have to go too? Goddamnit!

Oh no your bones are getting stolen. My Athryl is about to DIE.

Yes, Team Plasma stuff. Can I heal now?

Nope! More story. Burgh and Chenren and Bianca arrive. No battles please.

Oh? Dowsing machine? Okay.

Obtained Dowsing Machine!

I AM FREEEEEEE

POKECENTER GET.

Healed. *super long sigh of relief*

I somehow managed to use 9 Super Potions. Bought seven more, now have 9 Super Potions again.

We're done. I can't do anymore. Done!

I will never change this. Look at the beautiful thing.

Tybalt the male Servine @Tybalt
Level 24
Item: Miracle Seed (20% buff to Grass Attacks)
Ability: Contrary (All stat changes are reversed)
Impish Nature (+Defense, -Special Attack)
Individual Values
HP: 1
Atk: 29
Def: 14
SpA: 30
SpD: 24
Speed: 23

Moveset:
Zen Headbutt
Twister
Cut
Leaf Tornado

Tybalt is the holy knight who vanquishes all foes. There is no stopping his amazing stats, his excellent ability, his awesome typing, and his all-around awesomeness. He's so smug and righteous, and there is no escaping his divine judgment. He pulls through at even the most dire times. While he has fallen slightly from his grace, he's still extremely reliable. Must I remind you that he is now a DRAGON?

One he gets Leaf Storm, Tybalt will break the game.

Wait... He's a dragon type...

If he gets Draco Meteor.

GG EVERYTHING.

Athryl the female Herdier @IceandFire
Level 23
No item
Ability: Scrappy (Ghost immunities are ignored)
Sassy Nature (+Special Defense, -Speed)
Individual Values
HP: 21
Atk: 25
Def: 29
SpA: 15
SpD: 11
Speed: 31 (MAX)

Moveset:
Take Down
Tackle
Helping Hand
Bite

Athryl is a very crafty Pokemon. She can decide to go all out attack; if so, Tackle hits hard enough. However, she is very crafty, being able to use Bite's flinch chance, Leer's debuff, and her Ability to good use. Starting to become the go-to for stuff Tybalt is weak to.

After evolving, Athryl very quickly became the most powerful on the team. She hits so damn hard, that it's more often to see a OHKO than anything else. Only thing is... she's become rather reckless...

I found a perfect representation of Athryl. Click here.

Robert the Male Panpour @ACU20
Level 23

Ability: Gluttony (Eats held Berries earlier)
Relaxed Nature (+Defense, -Speed)

HP: 11
Atk: 26
Def: 7
SpA: 11
SpD: 11
Speed: 13

Moveset:
Acrobatics
Scald
Tickle
Torment

Robert is a MONSTER. He just brushes aside everything and everyone. What, you're a grass type? NO. YOU'RE DEAD. GONE.

I've done nothing but spam Acrobatics with Robert. Even against a Tepig, Acrobatics did MORE DAMAGE THAN A SUPER EFFECTIVE STAB MOVE.

Things have changed as of recently with the addition of Scald, which is an amazing move through and through, and will be his main spam move. Acrobatics, of course, will see great use as a way to hit Grass types, Bug, and Fighting types hard.

The Young Ones

Sally the female Venonat @SallyPirate
Level 22
No Item
Ability: Tinted Lens (Not-very-effective moves double in power)
Jolly Nature (+Speed, -Special Attack)
Individual Values:
HP: 12
Atk: 26
Def: 21
SpA: 14
SpD: 3
Speed: 17

Moveset:
Signal Beam
Confusion
Supersonic
PoisonPowder

Sally is an underpeformer right now, but she more than pulls her weight. She has good coverage, a great ability, and decent power. She also likes to use Status moves, and can tank a large array of moves thanks to her typing. She will evolve into the beautiful Venomoth one day, and wreck all who dare defy her power.

Jade the Female Golbat @Jade Arrow
Level 23
No Item
Ability: Infiltrator (Ignores field effects of the opposing team, such as Light Screen and Reflect)
Brave Nature (+Attack, -Speed)
Individual Values:

Def: 25
SpA: 10
SpD: 31 (MAX)
Speed: 30

Moveset:
Confuse Ray

Roost
Wing Attack

Jade is, surprisingly, the best damned tank we have. With excellent defense stats, amazing typing, and useful moves in Confuse Ray and Roost, Jade can fend her own even against weak super effective attacks. She can attack pretty well too, with Wing Attack being a 75 Base Power STAB. Jade carried us through the second gym, which was our most difficult challenge yet.

Luna the Swellow @Christimas
Level 22

Moveset:
Wing Attack

Double Team

Luna has a unique role as revenge killer and sweeper in one. While she has trouble taking hits, she hardly needs to when she has Double Team, and the best priority move in the game with ExtremeSpeed. When she was a wee Taillow, she could hardly defend herself. But now, she takes no slack from no-one.

Ardaric the Male Kricketot @Deathseal123

Thug nature (+Strength and Resilience, -Intelligene and Obedience)
Individual Values:
HP: ?
Atk: ?
Def: ?
SpA: ?
SpD: ?

Moveset:
Growl
Bide
Struggle Bug
Bug Bite

Ardaric was the best thug-bug you've ever known. He was resilient, has one of the most potentially dangerous moves in the game, and he ate yo shit when he attacked you. He was the best gangsta you'd ever find. Even so as to stand up to a Hoothoot, and we was so close to winning... But he was lost on his first battle...

Michcat the Male Purrloin @Michcat
Level 10
No item
Ability: Limber (Cannot be Paralyzed)
Hasty Nature (+Speed, -Defense)
Individual Values
HP: 17
Atk: 27
Def: 5
SpA: 6
SpD: 6
Speed: 2

Moveset:
Scratch
Growl
Sand Attack
Faint Attack

Michcat hits like a truck. He's very fast, very potent, and has a powerful, always-hitting move that is STAB and Dark type. All he does is spam that move as he dispatches of his enemies.

Michcat was the victim of careless training on my part. He took on a bug type, a lowly Caterpie, and thought he could live. STAB Bug Bite did more than expected, and a critical hit to boot, and the cat fell. He will be missed dearly, and his potential will never be known.

Habin the male Zigzagoon @Ddaug02
Level 10
Item: Full Heal
Ability: Pickup (Spawns items occasionally after every battle)
Calm Nature (+Special Defense, -Attack)
Individual Values:
HP: 9
Atk: 16
Def: 19
SpA: 20
SpD: 27
Speed: 24

Moveset:
Tackle
Growl
Tail Whip
Headbutt

Habin is an unfortunate case. The small rodent he is, he tends to be an underperformer, especially when Athryl's around. Habin, however, is also very crafty, and has numerous stat debuffs and a decent Attack to go off of. He's like Athryl's sidekick. He has a lot of potential. After learning Headbutt, he actually hits as hard as Athryl does with Tackle.

Habin fell to the same fate as Michcat; STAB, Super Effective Critical Hit move. While Habin just started to get good, his defeat cemented my training procedures, and has made it almost impossible for me to let someone else befall the same fate. Habin will be missed, more so than the others...

Lokhan the male Nidoran @Depressed_Monkey
Level 13
No Item
Ability: Rivalry (Deals more damage to Pokemon of the same gender)
Jolly Nature (+Speed, -Special Attack)
Individual Values:
HP: 5
Atk: 15
Def: 5
SpA: 24
SpD: 10
Speed: 24

Moveset:
Peck
Double Kick
Sweet Kiss
Focus Energy

Lokhan is quite the adorable little thing. He likes to give the ladies a Peck every now and then, and sometimes a Sweet Kiss. He's also good at studying with his Focus Energy, and he's great at kickboxing. He's quite good at... everything, really.

Lokhan was getting upset at my way of battling, and I let him down one last time, letting him stay in on a fully-powered Brine from a Piplup. Sadly, he never enjoyed my company, and Sally will be upset with me for a long, long time.

Dayter the male Slowpoke @Deash12
Level 17
No Item
Ability: Drizzle (Summons permanent rain upon entering the battlefield)
Relaxed Nature (+Defense, -Speed)
Individual Values:
HP: 5
Atk: 20
Def: 0
SpA: 10
SpD: 20
Speed: 12

Moveset:
Water Gun
Confusion
Growl
Tackle

Dayter is the safety switch for my entire team. Slowpoke are incredibly tanky, and can hit decently hard, so if I'm ever in a tough spot Dayter will pull me out of it.

Secondly... he just so happens to have the most lauded and overpowered ability in the entire game, Drizzle. This makes not only Dayter hit harder, this makes Robert also hit harder, and we all know how overpowered he already is. Dayter also removes other weather, so sandstorm and sun are no longer an issue, considering Water has an advantage over both.

Dayter didn't last too long. The stars aligned to send him to his doom, with a critical hit Shock Wave from a random wild Blitzle double battle. It was such a shame, not too long after we fought a weather user, and we could have really used him.

Ashna the female Woobat @solusrequiem
Level 18
No Item
Ability: Klutz (Held items have no effect.)
Serious Nature (No change)
Individual Values:
HP: 3
Atk: 25
Def: 16
SpA: 26
SpD: 9
Speed: 5

Moveset:
Confusion
Heart Stamp
Gust
Assurance

Ashna was just beginning to prove herself, but the situation proved too taxing. She took a sun boosted, STAB Flame Burst, but was slain by a Bubblebeam of all things. If it had done two less damage, she would have lived. But her life had ended then, and her sacrifice prevented the deaths of many.
