These lands are wild and strange, though there are some things which remain familiar. The faces of friends, family, of brothers-in-arms; the solemn path of the moon overhead, and the pale light of dawn to the East... But to the West, a wound festers, and soon its poison will spread.
Already, something is stirring. A great disquiet has seized the seas, which fret and falter at the western shore, then rush forth to claim their due with no pattern or warning.
And now, there is talk of a presence as one approaches the shore. Water demons, to hear the some sailors tell it; ghosts of the drowned, to hear others. Better men scoff, of course, but those who linger for a moment come to know it too. There is a sense of something there, as deep as the ocean itself, and yet entirely other.
Children say it wants to speak.
OOC: This will not be a very long event, and understandably not all characters will necessarily feel it necessary to attend, and you should know that this is fine. Attendance to this event is not mandatory to participate in any events to follow.
Those characters who are concerned and able to travel, however, will find the nexus of these strange happenings at the shore of the heath and moorland towards the north of the new map. Teleports will be available to a point a short distance away before and during the event, but the precise location should become obvious.
