A lesson gained from Tze'mik the Nakat and Magus of Mysticism. As well would frequent Compendium for more knowledge. Eventually, with resources from Alemere. Karn turned his estate in the Aurum hills into a lab/home. Where he would help make healing potions for the Empire he was an advisor for. As well in the past would use the knowledge he gained to help treat some people. He had even treated some people in the past during a wendigo hunt up in Queensport.

There, he produced a journal along with his students (notably Violet Rittor) and his colleague Esplin on various discoveries in alchemical sciences, called the Arget Journal of Medicine. In addition, he helped with Nid Arach's defensive pursuits through building palisades and traps, during the Arachian Business arc, and aiding in the construction in the Manor of Old-ralidor [Link to Ralidor].
