“Getting its name from the sharp, crystal like spikes that protrude from its back, the Sparkling Scissor Bug, often simply called the 'Scissor Bug' or even the 'Antis,' is an abomination that looks like a giant ant with praying mantis mandibles and arms.”

Physiology

Arms and legs — It has six, large, ant-like legs and two praying mantis arms. These arms look and function like a praying mantis, but do not have suitable power to sever an arm or head. They can however, keep a good grip on someone, and put an arm out of commission. Injuries can range from “flesh wound” to “severe and needs immediate attention.”
Eyes, mouth and features — The jaws of the critter are suitable to give someone a proper shredding, if allowed… The eyes are large and insectoid.
Size and physical description — Its whole body is covered in a glassy shell that glows faintly with iridescent light, though they spikes on its back glow most brilliantly. The creature glows enough to be visible from a distance in complete darkness. It is the size of about a large dog.

Habitat

The Scissor Bug only lives in the caverns under Mockingbay, though they are now quite rare.

Sexual Dimorphism

There are no reproductive organs present, and therefore there are no distinctions to be made.

Behavior

The Scissor Bug is a worker drone, not designed innately for combat. Its presence in the tunnels is to impede explorers or intruders, but to help transport useful materials (minerals, bodies, etc.) If however, the Scissor Bug encounters intruders, it will become hostile.

Lifespan

The Sparkling Scissor Bug lives for no longer than one month if left in perfect shape. In the last few days of its life, it becomes slow and docile — other bugs may at this point cannibalize it and carry pieces of it away.
Yield

If some part of the abomination has been captured or claimed, such as a body part, teeth, spikes, etc. and you wish to experiment with them or simply wish to receive more information, please send Squidziod a convo. Thank you!

I've got a question about the yield of this beastie; The Fool ripped off one of its crystals and pocketed it during the event, he then took it with him to his home. What are its apparent properties of the crystal when dislodged from its owner, without the fool having done research on it? And if he were to experiment, should I start a convo or is there nothing much he'd find out? Thank you!
I'll PM you in a convo. To anyone else who's wondering about any yields they may have collected — start a convo with me for more detailed descriptions or if you choose to experiment with your prizes. Thanks!
