The City Council has officiated an early end to the latest of several guard elections. Following the withdrawal of Ronak's candidacy, Vidar Alekov is now the Captain of the Guard.
The senior officers are Lieutenant Ronak, and Lieutenant Briarwood. The junior officers are Quartermaster Mathieu.
On the docket is proposing reform for the guard to the council, apponitment of one more lieutenant, and perhaps expanding the roster of junior officers.
Anyone is welcome to join the guard, no matter past experience, but if they have a record there may be a more rigorous review process. Anyone who joins shall be equipped in accordance to their ability, given proper training, a livelihood, a place to sleep, regular meals, and fair pay for their labors.
Those who make a living by cudgel or sword but who do not want tie themselves to the city are welcome to volunteer their labor and work on a contractual basis for the city guard as mercenaries.

Just respond to this thread or message me, either on discord (BLargtheAwesome#8832) or over the forums if you want to join. Basic guards and junior officers get paid 2500, senior officers and guard captain get paid 3000. This is paid IC as well as OOC. This administration at least considers seniority with some priority, so joining sooner rather than later might warrant higher consideration. Also a 3k bonus if you stay for a month.
