Metagaming - Use of outside knowledge for in character benefits, as if someone in discord asked for his friends help when he was being robbed by bandits
Powergaming - Making a character too strong, as in a master of every craft and every weapon. Also using language that dictates role play instead of playing along with it, like "I block your attack and kill you" or "I dodge all your blows and run away"

I play alot of dota 2 in my spare time. I plan to play on this server anytime I want to relax and have some fun roleplay. I own a black lab named champ who usually is always around when i am on my computer. Im currently trying to learn a multitude of languages including Korean and French.

My father always went on about how grand the mines of the Deepforger's were, but I never believed he actually saw them. The great dwarvern clans are all long gone. I still would always buy into his story's with awe, just to make my old man happy. He would go on for hours about how the whole mine he currently worked at was nothing more than a mere hours work for a Deepforger's pickaxe. "As soon as we are rich enough, we'll leave and i'll start my own mining business that will rival those from the dwarves of old!" He said this more times then I could count and unfortunately never happened. Any extra money from the mine was spent at a tavern, usually all in one night. Now his dreams cannot come true, as his life has run its course. Old age has claimed him as it has claimed so many. On his deathbed he asked me to continue his work, to honor him and our ancestors by building great mines. For all the silly tales he would spin he taught me just as much. The love of the underground, the basics to using iron and various materials for blacksmiths and foraging, and by Korog if he knew I told this he'd have my beard but he had a soft spot for growing various plants and flowers and he even kept a few pet chickens. With the few funds he left me I hope to travel to a new city, meet new people, and start my own mine. Maybe even fund the stone for a new town or supply the metal for an army. Whatever challenges await me on my journey ahead, I am ready.By the skin of my beard I will complete my fathers dreams for him and honor our ancestors of the Deepforgers by building great mines that even they would stare in awe at. I'll miss you father, I appreciate the lessons you taught me and even though all I have left from you is your trusty stone pick axe,I will always keep it close, along with a tankard of mead to bring honor to your great memories. i can swear on my dwarvern heart I will make you proud father. Ill build a mine so your soul will be able to rest easy. But until then i will always keep you in my memories.

About Your Character!
This section is about the character you intend to use once you join the server.We ask that new players follow these guidelines during this portion of the application:
- Characters begin with basic skills and gear. No advanced armor or weaponry. Skills and abilities are appropriate to a novice level. Skills should be learned through roleplay, not through backstory.
- Characters fit the lore. If you choose to play as a Moor Elf, for example, we expect appearance and details to be fitting with base lore.
- Characters cannot use magic in any way. The test itself should not mention magic either. HollowWorld uses a restricted magic system and it is only accessible to those who find and learn from a teacher in-game.
- Tests should not be violent. No murder, killing, death, torture. In the past, 8 out of 10 applications featured characters fighting off bandits or slaying passersby. We don't want to see how well you can script a fight scene. We want to see how well you can tell a story, how well you can roleplay.
- Be creative and be original. Do not use tests/characters whose home villages were burned, parents murdered, and then set off to be an orphan assassin. It has been done before. Please don't do it again.
- Written portion of the test is required to be a 400 word minimum. If the test doesn't meet the minimum, Staff may ask you to extend the test before the application is considered.
