To Kaiser Peter Hallon of Anhald, and his men.

It is unfortunate for the whole of your people and ours that a tragic battle for both sides had to occur before you resorted to diplomacy. Our hearts bled on that field along with your men. War was not our aspiration, but it was our only choice after several refusals for negotiations. In your wake, nations had been shunned and involuntarily compelled into corners. Anhald had turned to forced conquest, while we wished nothing but a land of peace for our people, where we are free to worship our Divines, free to pursue our visions, and free to live our lives without fear of oppression. Now, after a bloody and fruitless battle, we mourn the loss of many of our own men, and even those of yours, as those that have fallen have been bereaved of those opportunities. None should take joy from the death of a man, and none should feast when the red tides of blood rise. Thus, we propose the following in return, in hopes to achieve what had previously failed us; a diplomatic end to this war.

Anhald and its allies will concede all conquested lands, and will permanently vanquish any plans of further conquest, as will its individual entities. Anhald and its allies will not conceive or execute any plans of conquest, attack, harassment, nor will its individual entities, and all bounties once placed shall be withdrawn. In return, the Coalition will relinquish any claims over the lands of Anhald permanently, and will assist in the restoration of its properties. In this restoration, aid shall be given in restoring the old, or establishing a new settlement for those of Anhald to occupy. Furthermore, the Coalition will not interfere with, attack or harass Anhald, provided that Anhald does not violate the aforementioned terms. The sum of ten--not eight--thousand radiants will be paid from each commander for reparations. Any plundered items will be returned to Anhald and its rightful owners. However, as we express good faith and a willing heart for peace with these terms, we ask for all prisoners to be freed that Anhald might still hold, to exhibit the same wish for reconciliation.

Ultimately, we desire to achieve nothing more than peace, and with these proposals, the Coalition hopes that, in the best interests of the Northern Kingdoms, Anhald would accept them. War is only but one extreme solution, to a perhaps temporary problem, where lives must be taken unnecessarily, when a few simple shared words was all that was required to maintain harmony. In light of this, we hope you will agree to these terms, and find peace once more. For the quill is stronger than the blade, and it writes in ink rather than blood.

For war only brings terror and darkness, and no darkness should be left in this world to challenge the Light.

-The Iron Dragon Coalition.

My terms were not open for negotiation. You have denied peace, and you will find no quarter. Pray, for all of your band of godless sodomites will burn in hellfire.

Uh huh.. Solid case right there..
He... is referring to the peace accord that he put forward originally. In that accord, Cap said in that document that it was essentially an ultimatum: accept or war. In that regard, the Coalition has refused the Anhald proposal for peace by changing the terms. Apparently the coalition doesn't desire anything more than peace, because it denied that offer.

People, let's not. This was an IC letter, all opinions about said letter, and the response to it thusfar can be discussed privately, in a matter that won't start another flame war or salt fest. With that being said, I'd kindly ask to have this conversation either stop entirely, or at least make the Coalition side of this 'argument' hush now, and take up the discussion, if they want, privately with Cap or someone amongst their own groups.

Thank you.
