Personality:
Kharn's personality has several features. He is fairly intelligent but most of the time he chooses not to show it. He can be serious at times if the situation requires it, but most of the time he maintains a very lax attitude about the events going on around him, because of this, he can come across as quite the joker about the things around him. However this is not always a positive for him if the situation is of a more serious note. He does suffer from emotions like any normal man, but tries to hide them, not always succeeding.
Goals in Life:
Unlike most people in Altera, Kharn doesn't want to be famous or rich. He does what he does, not for the money, not for fame and glory, but because he feels that it is the right thing to do. He wishes to pass through life simply doing what he does best.
His wealth and ownership of Aeroch Nor is inherited from his long since past friend.
If anything, the one goal you can judge Kharn by is that, he just wants to be acknowledged, nothing more, nothing less, just enough so that people know he is there and that he is doing the right thing.
Strengths:
He is extremely skilled in the art of swordsmanship, a talent trained over many wars and battle.
He is quick and silent on his feet, evading attacks and slipping in and out of situations without notice.
He believes he has a unique charisma with people and has talked himself out of- and admittedly into many a situation.
Weaknesses and fears:
His weaknesses are that he is not nearly as skilled in the art of Ranged warfare as he is with a Blade.
Kharn is only fearful of a few things, one of those is that his friends and family may be harmed because of his actions and that he will go out of his way into his own harm to protect them.
Main Profession:
Currently the Captain of The Iroquois, The Unladen Swallow and The Once-Stormbringer.
Lord of Aeroch Nor and Leader of House Sicarus.
Noble and Heir to House Hawklight.
-= The Iroquois =-
Extra Jobs:
Worked as a Lumberjack assisting his father in his younger years, teaching him the knowledge he has today about the variety of wood types in the world.
-
His profession then shifted to that of an Assassin over the years to produce a steady source of income. Not all agreed to this, but he had his own rules about who he would kill and why.
-
He progressed to end up serving as the Guildmaster of the Assassins Guild of Altera for many years till even that guild eventually faded into history.
-
During the same period as the Assassins, up till the end of the Exodus Wars against Queen Grief, he was Captain of The Stormbringer, the largest Airship in existence equipped with powerful weapons used against Queen Grief and her creatures.
-
Beyond this, with Airships no longer viable, he took to the Seas as Captain of The Iroquois, one of the fastest vessels on the water. While he runs as Lord of Aeroch Nor, his love and passion is that on the Ocean. Some may call him a pirate, he prefers the term 'free'.
Political Alignment:
The town of Aeroch Nor and the House Hawklight, but in reality he is quite neutral on the politics of Altera as long as it leaves him out of it.
Though he will not hesitate to answer the call of his House should they need him.
Hometown:
A peasant Village outside the walls of a long passed fortress by the name of Stormraven
Current Home:
His manor house within Aeroch Nor is his main residence, where he has settled down with his wife Asirel and their daughters, Terise and Milah along with their son, Jhae.
Otherwise it could be said he lived aboard his ship, The Iroquois.
A Song That Would Summarise Him:
Kharn's Equipment:
Over the years Kharn has collected several unique items of interest, these are some of them.
Returning Naval Tricorn
Kharn's famous Hat; "The majority of the hat is a dark blue dyed fabric, stitched and shaped into the form that can be seen below. The white trim around the edge is made of a bleached and tanned leather from the finest bison in the North. The inner lining of the hat is composed of a smooth, maroon red silk, providing maximum head comfort for the wearer."
Effect: This hat will never fade in colour or fray with old age, and will find itself in the hands of Kharn Sicarus a day after losing it, if it is lost. It is not immune to being destroyed.
Wolfpelt Cloak with Darkthread Lining
He is often seen wearing his grey fur cloak, made from the pelt of a large Northern Wolf, it has been improved by his daughter, Milah, with a Darkthread lining across the entire piece. It can be raised to feature a hood for Darkthread protection of the mind, or inverted entirely and worn as a method of enhanced stealth within a dark environment.
Boots of the Sea-Legged (Restoration)
A pair of black boots with an Iron Anchor for a buckle
Effect: Wearing these boots will help the wearer keep their feet balanced on any ship during heavy storms or violent movements. This doesn't account for earthquakes, and physical or magical displacements.
The Bloodstone
A smooth stone able to be held in one hand, changing to a dark gem-like material upon absorbing blood.
Effect: If given a significant quantity of mortal blood (half a pint) it will absorb it and store it, able to be pressed over any wound that would require stitches or less to give its stored blood and heal it rapidly over the next ten minutes instead. It is at user discretion if it leaves a scar or not.
Wayfinder
A golden compass with a blue gem in the center underneath the glass.
Effect: After a chanted sea shanty, with a specific location out at sea in mind, the holder is gifted with a sign that indicates the vague direction of their destination. This can be in the form of a guiding star glinting particularly brightly, the mirage of a lighthouse over the horizon, or a soaring seagull that only they see. It does not work for uncharted locations, or Divine Grounds. Only locations they have treaded before, or have coordinates towards.
Winter's Howl
A sword made to last. The blade is of Masterworked Glimmersteel, 102 cm long, with a narrow-fuller and significantly darkened by its oil treatment. Two highly polished 20 cm stenciled steels of a leaping wolf have been forge-welded to the base of the blade, creating a negative-space image of a white wolf leaping through darkness. The forge-welding fits into the base of the fuller and slopes into its full depth on both sides.
The cross-guard is made of rectangular arms, sanded and polished to rounded edges. The cross-guard terminates on both sides with snarling wolf heads, their eyes rubies set in dark steel sockets. The words "Survival Through Solitude" are deeply engraved into the length of the cross-guard.
The surface of the grip of the sword is of full-grain treated Drakodo Leather, slightly worn. The resultant wielding hand would find an exceptionally secure hold on the blade, but should wear a glove to avoid roughness. The grip core is of dense horn for strength, durability, and vibration absorbency. The grip in full has been carefully shaped to fit the wielders fingers around it.
The pommel is a dense steel sphere of diamond-cut appearance. It shares the dark hue of the blade and functions to balance the sword and act as a non-lethal club.

Darko's Dagger:
Darko's Dagger is a very old and odd-looking weapon gifted from Seraphina Kaylah Saeradan, the blade possesses an unnatural sharpness to it. According to Sera, the blade is Demon-forged, though any latent magics tied to the blade have long since dissipated with new worlds and new leylines. He wields it in his left hand in a reverse-grip when the need arises. It is of Refined-Steel equivalent in material.
Concealed Rings:
This 'weapon' is a passive thing that consists of two rings worn on the right middle and ring fingers, with a chain between the two, on the chain is a small slot which a small blade can be attached, when the fist is clenched the blade pokes out through the gap in the fingers and allows him to deal concealed and much more damaging punches.
Armour of Kharn:
An ancient set of armour, long ago crafted by Dwarves of Old. Master Blacksmiths created this fine set of armour over 2000 years ago when Kharn was first a member of the house of Yearnen. This suit of Armour has lasted Kharn these many years, protecting him faithfully through the many battles and wars he has partaken in. Nowadays the suit see's less use and is more of an ornamental trophy piece, but in dire times the suit will be worn to protect him once more.
