Overview:
The Legio Divinatus is a loose coalition of faithful dedicated to upholding what is good in the realm and opposing what is not. Composed of different faiths and creeds, it seeks to unite those with shared values and provide a common structure for coordinating the efforts of its autonomous sects.
Chivalric Code:
Each member is expected to uphold the common values of the order, and full members are sworn in by swearing the following oaths:
- Stand for the innocent against the dark
- Seek out evil, and oppose it
- Aspire to the virtues of fairness, temperance, and compassion
Council of Exalts:
The Legio Divinatus is led by a council of ranking representatives of faith, generally Exalts. In the event of an even number on the council, or just for fun, the victor of single combat within the group holds the tiebreaking vote.
Ranks:
The Legio Divinatus follows a simple hierarchy; there's a rank for recruits, and a rank for full members. All full members are officially peers, with no formal authority over another outside of actions in the field. All are expected to cooperate with each other and heed the decisions of the council of exalts.
Initiate: The rank for new recruits who are yet to prove themselves, or otherwise deemed not ready for the duties of full membership. Upon review by the council of exalts, they're sworn in and rise to the rank of Knight-Errant.
Knight-Errant: Members are expected to rove far and wide and maintain a high degree of autonomy, and so are granted the title of Knight-Errant. A brotherhood of peers, only in times of need are they elevated; when they venture as a group, one is elected to assume command, or a more sophisticated hierarchy if the situation demands it.

OOC Overview:
The idea of the Legio Divinatus is to be a loose structure that provides common ground and promotes different groups of faithful coming together to make and find the type of RP that interests them. It's intended to be 'hands-off' enough to allow different sects to still do their own thing if they join as a group while enjoying the benefits of a hopefully larger faction, as well as catering to individual interests to try and provide an avenue for more faith-based RP. The core goals are:
- Consolidate smaller religious factions into one, enabling them to do their own thing while getting the benefits of being in a larger faction
- Start bare-bones, and build traditions and culture together
- Provide both a reason and means for more DnD style parties and events
- Have fun, be cool, make new friends
Faction Events:
Our goal is to get together to do something as a group every week or so, either as a gathering or an event hosted by one of the members. We're hoping to host and facilitate some smaller-scale storylines with blessed-adjacent themes (I really want to do 'investigate a heretical NPC cult hiding in a city' style RP), as well as the usual fare of festivals and casual gatherings.
Event Requests:
We're going to try an internal events request system alongside this; anyone in the faction can request events for themselves and primarily other faction members, and it'll either be picked up by one of the founders or another member interested in DMing. We'll try to take one at least every week/every other week depending on availability.
Faction Traits:
If we get to that point, the founders reserve the right for choosing/changing one of the faction traits. The other two are open to whatever the faction wants, and can be changed with a vote if we qualify in following months.
Joining the Faction:
The faction is open to any of earnest faith and agreeable moral character. Groups are also welcome to join to consolidate activity, with no infringement upon their internal structure and a fair shot at choosing what traits we go for. Drop a message below or DM Lannis, BoredBrit, or Liam if you're interested!
