THIS IS STILL VERY MUCH A WIP
Also, this is not canon - merely a personal interpretation

Hey all, forgive me if this isn't the correct section for this but it seemed the most fitting of all.

Considering there is no official canon detailing the language of Elvish or any major details, I’ve taken it upon myself to develop a rough interpretation of what I believe the language to sound of/look like. My character is a Silver Elf scholar, who naturally writes most of his notes in said language. It would be nice to form some basis of what I believe he would have written in his books. Please take note that this is not canon at all, this is merely what I believe it would be like. Whilst I note that a couple words have been posted officially, I hope to base my interpretation so it will not clash with any preconceived notions. Yet I am to post it publicly for others to criticise and help amend, which is very much welcomed.

Considering Irish (Gaeilge) is my own personal native tongue, and the fact I always perceive Elves as slightly Celtic, I feel it respectable to use the language as a springboard, something to base off of. I have done my best to avoid taking directly from the language (Scottish Gaelic is incredibly similar to Irish Gaeilge so if there are crossovers, they are entirely unintentional), but it will follow similar pronunciations/sentence structure - please note that these very much deviate from Romantic language pronunciation/structure such as Latin, Italian, English, Spanish, French etc.

I’ve also borrowed the format for many basic words and such from Bartooliinii , who graciously guided me on approaching this topic with caution so the big bad lore team don’t eat me. Feel free to make any comments and suggestions. Also yes, this is still very much a WIP and nowhere near as complete or pretty looking like the Mok'yra or Horghaan lexicon - it is still an ongoing personal project.

As a sidenote in regards to the Mok'yra Lexicon, I understand that Mok'yra is considered a warped or distorted version of Elvish, but this is how I personally believe Elvish to sound.
