America
4. Have you read the King's Law, Code of Conducts, Official Lore, and the Player Guides yet?
Yes
5. In your own words, how would you define metagaming and powergaming?
Metagaming is when a player roleplays something out that they're character shouldn't know, Such as if OOC I said my character is weak in magic and then the other person exploits that in a rp battle, That'd be metagaming. Powergaming is when your character is overpowered or never admits loss even when pretty much dead. A character with a powergaming trait would be someone roleplaying as a literal god who created the universe, Or in their bio they put "Bullets are ALWAYS deflected."

Well, I'd say I'm a pretty decent artist and minecraft builder. I do a lot of human portraits and medieval builds, I'm always up for a commision. My taste in music is pretty Alternative Pop, A couple of my favorite artists I'd recommend to anyone is Mac Demarco, Peach Pit, Joji, and Jack Strauber. I like playing a lot of lowkey games, Nothing too action or bloody. Stardew Valley and Don't starve are some of my favorite games. I'm big in Track & Field, It's a sport I've been playing for a long time. That's about it about me.

This piece isn't completely finished but I'm pretty proud of it.

Written Test!
A sweetly salty air filled the nose of any passerby taking a breath of air. Humid yet breezy, a so called perfect day. The shuffling of feet, A soft crashing of waves soothed through everyone's ears and minds. It was too bad such a beautiful day was wasted sitting upright in a hardy woody chair listening to a stern old man grunting about the political standing of some ruler beyond the forests and beyond the seas that follow the forests. My face remained still as a stone, Trying my hardest to not twitch or roll my eyes as the old man pursued a rant about how, "We are superior! Beautiful and knowing, They should be bowing for our knowledge!" Finally, The clocked on the east wall made its final tick and the relieving sounds of a loud bell sounded the dismissal of class and the day. I packed up, Looking over to my left shoulder to a perfect child being praised for a high grade and toted on by mother. He looked towards me and have an annoying smirk before tipping his nose towards mother agreeing with her praising statements. I on the other hand, Waited by the doorway as mother held my brother's hand walking past me, Not even sparing a glance before speaking in a sharp tone, "Follow with haste Anastasia, Do not fall behind like your studies." I nodded before walking behind my mother watching and waiting for them to start chit chatting again. I stopped walking behind them, Waiting for them to turn on one of the corners with merchants selling goods in stalls. I tilted my head towards the clear bright blue sky, Birds flew in circles over the ocean side town then taking a few flaps into the air and gliding to a forest up the hill. That was a good place to slip away for a good amount of time. Slipping away from the crowds I made my way up the hill slope in a excessive amount of robes. I could never understood how these robes were practical if I was to learn anything about the world. The forest was deep, I could hear the hooting of owls and the chirps of various insects. The trees twisted and turned looking bigger than the skies above, Only specs and spots of sunlight penetrated the tree leaves leaving the rest of the forest floor a dark canvas. This was my favorite past time, Studying the fauna up close instead of in the musty old books. I bunched up the silky cloth stepping delicately over the overgrowth and tree branches that fell from various storms. After a good bit of dirtering up my robes from stepping in the muddy puddles, I saw a clearing. It was filled with bushes and what looked like an newly bloomed tree. Under the tree was a cluster of small white speckled mushrooms, Giving a soft blush glow in the shade. Making my way towards the clearing I squatted taking out a worn down notebook, Studying the mushroom closely before drawing a rough sketch and making notes of what it looked like and what it could be used for. I sighed happily to myself before plopping down turning my body back to the forest. From where I sat the forest looked magical and enchanting, I couldn't hear the sounds of crashing waves. The sounds of rustling leaves and snapping branches filled my ears instead, I could hear the sounds of light hoofed footsteps, And the chirping of birds. I sighed happily to myself, Clutching my notebook, eventually falling asleep to the sounds of the forest.
Current Setting of the Server:
The lands of Altera have long been laced with upheaval, supernatural turmoil that would threaten to shatter the realm or tear it asunder. Long, have the peoples of Altera withstood these tribulations, overcoming and persevering through the generations. Only too recently, the realm tangled with the Behemoth Qlippoth, awakened by monsoon rains and with which came the Ashen Blight plague and eldritch abominations. Though the days were dark and long, the realm did survive, through its tenacity and reverence. The memories of the trials behind them still fresh, the realm sits in a state of unease and angst . . . with eyes on the horizon.
In the skies above, the heavens fall and burn across the auburn colors of the setting sun, streaks of color in the gathering dark. The Realm of Altera awaits . . .

About Your Character!
This section is about the character you intend to use once you join the server. We ask that new players follow these guidelines during this portion of the application:
- Characters begin with basic skills and gear. No advanced armor or weaponry. Skills and abilities are appropriate to a novice level. Skills should be learned through roleplay, not through backstory.
- Characters fit the lore. If you choose to play as a Moor Elf, for example, we expect appearance and details to be fitting with base lore.
- Characters cannot use magic in any way. The test itself should not mention magic either. HollowWorld uses a restricted magic system and it is only accessible to those who find and learn from a teacher in-game.
- Tests should not be violent. No murder, killing, death, torture. In the past, 8 out of 10 applications featured characters fighting off bandits or slaying passersby. We don't want to see how well you can script a fight scene. We want to see how well you can tell a story, how well you can roleplay.
- Be creative and be original. Do not use tests/characters whose home villages were burned, parents murdered, and then set off to be an orphan assassin. It has been done before. Please don't do it again.
- Written portion of the test is required to be a 400 word minimum. If the test doesn't meet the minimum, Staff may ask you to extend the test before the application is considered.
