Bonus harvest chance moved to survival instead of crafting. Crafting (skill and focus) now reduces masterwork cooldown by 5 days per point.

5/1:
-Added /character removeattribute, /character removeskill, and /character removefocus to remove points from a skill. This burns the EXP spent on that point in the process, but frees up space if you're at the cap and want to shift things around.

8/12:
- Added examples for focus in separate thread
- Changed weapon size categories after realizing that mechanical advantage was better than expected. The general rule now is that viable primary weapons/weapon combos are a category, sidearms are another category, and being unarmed against weapons is still very bad.

- Update to universal mechanic flight rule to include max range:
  • Flight, mounted or personal: Disadvantage made on all attacks made while flying, effectively need to land first to fight. No attacks can be made beyond a range of 50 blocks (RP chat range) under any circumstance.

-Moved 'magic' to its own section
-Added universal DC mechanics for targeted vs. area spells.
  • Spells that target a single person or creature should use an opposed contest, i.e. the caster rolls their Casting Attribute+relevant skill against the target's relevant attribute+skill.
  • Spells that target an area or can otherwise affect multiple targets at once should use a set DC equal to the caster's Casting Attribute; any targets must roll at least as many successes as the caster's Casting Attribute to avoid the effect.

- Added action economy rule of thumb to universal mechanics
  • Action economy: You should generally only make one action per turn that would require a roll to resolve, such as evading an attack or making an attack but not both. Spells are included in this schema regardless of if they have a near-instantaneous cast time; if they circumvent or prompt a roll, that should be the main action for that turn.

9/24/2023: Major update
  • Stat checks are now a single d20 roll, with Attribute+Skill+Focus added as modifiers to that roll
  • Focus now has specific categories instead of being named by players.
  • Each category of focus has one ‘level,’ and having focus for a check grants +1d4 to the roll
  • Focus cost set to flat 3
  • Total attribute cost decreased from 65 to 50
  • All character sheets are reset to allow respec
  • All races now have positive modifiers totaling +2, and no negative modifiers
  • Rearranged/removed/refactored skills. Some areas are now represented as foci of more general skills. Any old references to a changed skill should use the relevant equivalent until we get it updated.
  • Determination /Fortitude: Merged into Resilience, former distinction now represented by picking Body/Mind/Soul as the relevant attribute for the check
  • Might: Renamed to Athletics
  • Evasion: Renamed to Dexterity
  • Stealth: Renamed to Deception
  • Guile: Removed, shifted to Charisma focus
  • Thievery: Removed, shifted to Deception focus
  • Intimidation: Renamed to Charisma, ‘Intimidation’ is now a focus
  • Grappling: Renamed to Unarmed
  • Survival: Removed, function shifted to Awareness (Tracking)

Stats Plugin:
  • “/statroll” renamed to “/roll”, and should have the full functionality of both previous commands.
  • Added “/roll attack” and “/roll contest” commands to make a roll against a specific person. More to come on this later
Armor:
  • Polearm/one handed blunt weapon armor modifier reduced from 3/2 to 1/1 respectively
