I like this idea, it's very good. However, I may have misunderstood, but i think rolling D6 negates most skill of your character. If someone rolls a 6 by chance, there's no point of this system.

Huh, I have a concern as hallow harves tr and crafting are linked to character cards, will we all loose out crafting, specialization, and harvesting specs as a result of this substitution and what steps are being taken to reduce or negate this ?

To clarify, you roll a bunch of d6s for how skilled your character is at something, minimum one and maximum ten. This thread gets into the mechanics of it, but the gist of it is that by rolling many dice the effects of a single lucky roll are much less impactful, and contests between characters should only be competitive if they're comparable in skill.

That's what the migration this Saturday is for. It'll take all your cards and everything linked to them, and convert it for the new plugin.

I think the intent isn't to say "this is exactly how it works in all circumstances" as much as it is "when there's a specific thing that needs doing, this helps us determine if you can do it". Putting points in elevates your chance of doing things and rolling a 6 may not make the cut for some things anyhow.

No, all the progress will be safe. If anything unexpected happens, I have the backups to fix it.
The stats plugin functionally replaces the current character cards, which shouldn't affect anyone other than a few changes in commands for how it's used, but it does entail a migration from how that info is stored to how the stats plugin keeps it. I'll back everything up, there shouldn't be any issues, but there usually somehow are so fair heads up there.

I feel the "fear" stat is so scarcely used that it would be better if its merged with soul. The ability to influence other characters in ways?

I'm unsure how I feel about rolls being able to dictate a players feelings, in a sense. Fairly tired, and I rarely explain myself well, but I'll try here;

If it's a somewhat obvious lie, I'm unsure how I feel about if someone were to get lucky using a Guile roll, or similar roll. I feel like maybe this could be used on NPCs etc., but people should probably use words rather than rolls to get by on this

(If that is the current case, and I'm being a paranoid dumbass, I strongly encourage mocking me :heart:)
