- THE GRAND CATHEDRAL -
- Home to the Pantheon -
Looking over all of the city of Storm's Landing stands the Grand Cathedral; the one building in all the lands home to all of the Pantheon. This place is considered the most sacred and holy place of all shrines and temples, a place of devotion and dedication. To cause scenes of violence or chaos within it is considered a great act of disrespect, and so the Gods themselves have made these sacred halls their Divine Ground and limited what can be done within them. As an extra measure to ensure order is kept, an organisation has been founded who hold the unique ability to arrest individuals within these grounds for great acts of evil and themselves have access to the holdings below its floors. That said, not even these individuals are able to arrest another if they are holding a sermon within the cathedral, for all are free to worship.
To physically harm someone or to shed blood, to commit acts of violence in these grounds, is an affront to the Gods. These individuals will find themselves hastily dragged out of the Cathedral front doors and thrown down the steps by an unseen force and not be permitted entry for the rest of the day. You may find you are able to hit someone before being thrown out, but if you try to stab them you will be thrown out before the blade connects, and the weapon of choice will burn like hot metal and scald the hands of the holder enough to scar.

[ The Ecclesiarchy ]
This group of individuals are responsible for preserving order within the Cathedral, and are able to arrest individuals within it and place them in holding cells to await the outcome of a trial. If a majority vote to release them, they will be, but otherwise they will be sent to the authorities of which settlement they have offended. Only grievous acts against common humanity are considered, such as murder, torture, or kidnapping.

[Violence in the Cathedral]
None may come to harm within the Cathedral, with details included in the paragraph above. None may be unwillingly removed or physically accosted, and are generally 'safe' within the Cathedral's bounds. The only exception to this rule are members of the Ecclesiarchy, who are entrusted with maintaining the lawful order within, and can arrest and detain anyone within with due cause.
[ Divine and Arcane Spells ]
No spells, arcane or divine, can be cast inside the Cathedral other than the universal divine spells (link page). Divine artifact actives can be used (unless they are used to be violent with another in which they are removed as any other acts would be). Arcane artifacts behave as though they are inert, and can't manifest any effects within the Cathedral. Passive effects remain, as they cannot be 'turned off'.
[Expansion of the Cathedral]
The underground of the cathedral is under construction to include holding cells for the Ecclesiarchy, but as this occurs there will be a development of secretive tunnels and passages created for an easier time leaving and entering the Cathedral grounds...
