When the First Divines breathed life unto the worlds, they foresaw not Death to fall upon their creations. But it did come. Shalherana saw her children in cold grasps of despair and their minds go without direction- heard their cries of pain and sadness as they dispersed and were torn into the Void. She shed a single tear for them, the only tear she would display. As the tear fell through the Void, it began to freeze and take shape, aided by the primal forces of the Planar. A cold woman of ice was borne from it with frozen, death-glazed eyes, taken and created from the thoughts of sorrow and death. She became the guide and jury of the Afterlife, remaining unnamed for Centuries. This Blind Queen need not a name, for her sole purpose was to create and manage the Afterlife. Remaining forever aloof from the affairs of the other Divines, mortals christened The Grey Lady. The bringer of doom.

As time went by, The Grey Lady began to realize she was missing the souls of mortals. Skraag, the soul-stealer, was snatching those she was to punish for his works of Undeath. Fury was the first emotion The Grey Lady had felt in her lifetime, yet it did not last. For The Grey Lady is not one for emotions, and she simply let it be. For now.

Separated from the meddling of other gods and goddesses, the Grey Lady always held vigilant in her duties. Yet, as the remaining Pantheon came together once Aldred’s beast perished, she decided to remove herself from the Divine realm to form her own Plane in order to protect the many souls that relied on her. The shift did not come without sacrifice, as it required immense power, and she could only reform seven of her prior nine realms.

Those that hold true to the Lady's ways vary from pursuing the hardship of fighting against Undeath to robed Priests that hold confessions and funeral rites among the people. Others simply keep her in mind, murmuring parting words or giving respects to those departed, so that they may find peace in the afterlife, however that may be.

Appearance: Although the Gods no longer walk the realm as they once did, ancient texts still scribble furiously over their details.
The Grey Lady favored to appear as a woman of ice-cold sorrow with grey skin.
